Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Brooklyn Nets @ Philadelphia 76ers

Vegas Total: 220.0

Vegas Spread: Bkn -8.0

We’ll kick off this slate with the Nets, Kyrie Irving returned last time out and played just 26 minutes. I would think that’s his floor going forward, but I will want to see the production from him before I go back to him at this price tag. He’s more of a tournament option than anything here. It looks like Nic Claxton will return in this one which will take me off of  Ben Simmons a good amount. Simmons started in Claxton’s place last time out, but I would think Claxton jumps back into the starting lineup and is in the closing lineup again here. This is Simmons’ homecoming to Philly, but it’s a lot less intimidating for him when their team should crush the shorthanded Sixers in this one. Kevin Durant has been fine as of late with at least 47 DraftKings points in four of his last five, but you would like more production than that at this price tag. He’s more of a secondary spend-up option for me in this one. Royce O’Neale will always be a guy I have no issue getting to if you land on him but not generally a guy that I’m going to prioritize. Then guys like Seth Curry, Joe Harris, and Yuta Watanabe are all fine secondary tournament options. From the Sixers, they’re going to be without James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, and Joel Embiid while Tobias Harris should return in this one. I would imagine Danuel House and PJ Tucker are in the starting lineup along with Shake Milton to fill in for these guys. We saw Harris look really good with these guys out last season with a 31.1% usage rate and 1.32 fantasy points per minute, he’s going to look like a good option in all formats here. Then I like going right back to De’Anthony Melton and Milton even at an elevated price tag. Guys like Tucker and House are fine options as value, but I’m not worried about them beating me due to their normal production. I do think Montrezl Harrell is interesting especially if he gets the start for Embiid, keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates on the starting lineup in this one.

5-star play: Tobias Harris, Shake Milton

4-star play: Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Royce O’Neale, Nicolas Claxton, De’Anthony Melton, Danuel House Jr.

Deeper Value: PJ Tucker, Seth Curry, Yuta Watanabe

GPP Sleeper: Ben Simmons, Joe Harris, Seth Curry, Montrezl Harrell

Quick shoutout to VIP member “Cenzamatic” on a massive $20k win last season! Sometimes paying up for double studs works, and Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant brought it home for him with the help of some Stanley Johnson and Pistons value. Good work and congrats man!

Sacramento Kings @ Memphis Grizzlies

Vegas Total: 233.5

Vegas Spread: Sac -2.0

Starting with the Kings, Domantas Sabonis had a solid bounce-back game last time out and is a guy I have no issue going right back to against this Grizzlies frontcourt on a short slate. De’Aaron Fox continues to look awesome with at least 46 FanDuel points in three of his last four and leads this team with a 29.5% usage rate and 1.36 fantasy points per minute, he’ll look great again in this one. Keegan Murray returned last time out and played 35 minutes, I would expect he’s a full go again here and his price tag has bottomed out, especially on DraftKings, he’s a great option in all formats. Malik Monk will be more of a tournament option with Murray back in, we saw his minutes drop to 19 last time out. Then I have no issue with guys like Kevin Huerter or Harrison Barnes as a secondary option at their respective price tags. Both had 40+ DraftKings points last time out against the Pistons. From the Grizzlies, they’ll continue to be without Ja Morant and Desmond Bane, but Jaren Jackson should return here. Below is how this team has operated with these two off of the court this season:

These are going to be my favorite options for the Grizzlies and think all of these guys look great. The guy I’ll most likely be underweight on is Konchar due to the lower usage and production, he’s similar to a guy like Danuel House or PJ Tucker, I just don’t think he kills us. Jackson had a massive night last time out and has played 25 minutes in each of his first two games, he’s a nice option considering the rates we saw from him last season. I do like Dillon Brooks quite a bit, he’s going to handle the ball a ton and shoot a ton, he’s very ball-dominant as you can tell by that 33.2% usage rate above and if those shots start to fall, he’s not going to stop (he may not stop regardless).

5-star play: De’Aaron Fox, Tyus Jones, Dillon Brooks, Jaren Jackson

4-star play: Domantas Sabonis, Keegan Murray, Kevin Huerter, Steven Adams

Deeper Value: Keegan Murray (DraftKings)

GPP Sleeper: Malik Monk, Harrison Barnes, John Konchar, Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke

Detroit Pistons @ Denver Nuggets

Vegas Total: 224.5

Vegas Spread: Den -5.5

Starting with the Pistons, Cade Cunningham and Isaiah Stewart are going to be out for a while, so we can go ahead and just take them out of the player pool until further notice. They’ll also be without Saddiq Bey in this one. I thought we might see Jalen Duren move into the starting lineup with him out last time out, but it was actually Isaiah Livers. Livers isn’t going to be a guy I get much exposure to here, he’s just not a very productive DFS player. Duren did see a boost in minutes off of the bench, however, and I think he’ll look great here at this price tag. Marvin Bagley had a nice bounce-back game last time out but the minutes are still really low on him. I don’t have an issue with him at this price tag, but man I wish the minutes were higher for him. Killian Hayes should continue to start for Cade as well and has looked good although the price tag is starting to catch up with his production. Jaden Ivey is a guy I like going right back to as well, he has a 31.2% usage rate and 1.25 fantasy points per minute with Cade, Bey, and Stewart off of the court this season. He benefits quite a bit with Bey out. Then we can round the team out with Bojan Bogdanovic who has at least 30 DraftKings points in four of their last five games. From the Nuggets, they’ll be without Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray in this one while Aaron Gordon comes in as questionable. Gordon has missed their last few games, so it’s news we’ll need to watch, but it’s safe to assume he’s a true question mark tonight. I’ll operate under the assumption that he’s in, but keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates. Bones Hyland still came off of the bench last time out but had a nice game going for 30 DraftKings points, I’ll go right back to him here, he has a 34.6% usage rate and 1.38 fantasy points per minute with these guys off of the court this season. DeAndre Jordan is getting a lot more minutes than I thought he would and looked great last time out, I have no issue going right back to him at this price tag. Michael Porter Jr. has been all over the place lately… yet I like him again here, any time he doesn’t need to fight for shots and usage with Jokic and Murray I’m going to have interest, but just understand he’s very volatile. Then guys like Bruce Brown and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope make plenty of sense as secondary options.

5-star play: Jaden Ivey, Jalen Duren, Bones Hyland

4-star play: Marvin Bagley, Bojan Bogdanovic, Michael Porter Jr., DeAndre Jordan, Bruce Brown, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

Deeper Value: Jalen Duren

GPP Sleeper: Killian Hayes, Aaron Gordon, Bruce Brown, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

Winning Lineups DFS Army

Los Angeles Lakers @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total: 227.0

Vegas Spread: Pho -7.5

Starting with the Lakers, LeBron James comes in as questionable and has been out for about 10+ days now, so it’s definitely news we need to keep an eye on. Assuming he plays and isn’t limited, I would have no issue going back to him here. Anthony Davis would take a hit in this case but does have at least 56 DraftKings points in four straight games and does get a nice matchup. Russell Westbrook would lose some usage as well and has been in good form. The price tag is starting to catch up with him, however. Dennis Schroder got his minutes up to 23 last time out and I would expect those to continue to come up, I still don’t think I want to get to him until he’s a full go… but I won’t talk you off of him in tournaments. Then guys like Lonnie Walker and Austin Reaves are fine secondary options on a short slate tonight. From the Suns, they’ll be without Chris Paul again in this one, below is how this team has operated with him off of the court this season;

These would be my favorite options from the team, I don’t have a ton of interest in guys like Torrey Craig who just aren’t all that great on a per-minute basis. Booker came down to Earth last time out but had a massive game against the Jazz a couple of games ago, he’s going to look good at this price tag. Payne has at least 47 DraftKings points in two of his last three as well and will look like a strong option in all formats.

5-star play: LeBron James, Devin Booker

4-star play: Anthony Davis, Cameron Payne, Deandre Ayton, Mikal Bridges

Deeper Value: Dennis Schroder

GPP Sleeper: Russell Westbrook, Dennis Schroder, Lonnie Walker, Austin Reaves

NBA Lock of the Day: Jalen Duren (DK – $4.1k; FD – $5.4k)

I like going right back to the well on Duren here with Saddiq Bey, Isaiah Stewart, and Cade Cunningham out for the Pistons. I kind of thought Duren would start in Bey’s spot last time out, but it ended up being Isaiah Livers. That said, his minutes still increased and he now has at least 25 minutes in two of his last three. With these guys off of the court this season he has 1.12 fantasy points per minute… he’s too cheap here. At this point in the day, I would think he makes my core, but check out our VIP Cheat Sheets as we get closer to lock for staff picks on Core plays, 8x locks of the day, and tiers notes as well!
