Yahoo! Cash Game Players for Week 7

Last week the Running Back value of Stevenson, Walker, and Eno made it easy to pay up for top plays such as Allen, Diggs, and Kelce in Cash games and tournaments. This week the value plays aren’t there at Running Back and many of the usual top Cash options are off the slate, so navigating thru the best plays will be a bit more difficult. Alas, we’ll look at the matchups, projections, and opportunity to find value, high floor plays to cash again this week in Yahoo cash games!

Quarterbacks

Patrick Mahomes $35

With Allen and Hurts off the slate this week, we have to look for safe floor options to pivot to this week for our cash games. Mahomes has the safest floor as he has 3 straight weeks over 20 points; He’s averaged 25 points the last 3 weeks and is at a $5 discount from Lamar Jackson, and also has the 2nd highest projection on the slate at DFS Army with 21.07 Points.

Justin Herbert $35

I’m not going here in cash as I prefer the floor of Mahomes over Herbert who has had 3 games under 15 points, but I will have some exposure to Herbert in tournaments with the highest projected team total on the slate at 28.5 points vs the horrible pass defense of the Seahawks. I think Herbert is the 2nd best cash option this week if Keenan Allen returns to the lineup.

Running Backs

Austin Ekeler $39

Ekeler has averaged over 20 touches per game in his last 3 games and he’s turned that into 6 touchdowns over that span. He’s the 2nd highest priced Running Back but worth every dollar as an elite back in an elite matchup against one of the three worst ranked rushing defenses in the league – Seattle.

Josh Jacobs $32

In the past 2 weeks, Jacobs has averaged 24.5 carries, 149.5 yards, and 1.5 touchdowns per game. He has elite usage and elite production and up next is a great matchup vs the 30th ranked run defense of the Texans. He’s the top Running Back play this week on Yahoo.

Leonard Fournette $27

Between rushing attempts and receptions, Fournette has average 25 touches per game the last two games and 1.5 touchdowns, which is what we love on Yahoo. He has a 17.17-point projection at DFS Army this week which is third highest for Running Backs against a poor Carolina Run Defense.

Kenneth Walker $23

In his first game as the starter, Walker saw 21 carries and he turned it into 97 yards and a rushing Touchdown. He has gotten into the endzone in back-to-back weeks and this week he’s facing a Chargers defense that bleeds points to opposing RB’s; Walker is the 4th highest Fantasy Points Per Dollar play at DFS Army. (.66)

Tyler Allgeier $11

I don’t love the play here but there is minimum value on the slate at the moment and Tyler projects as the 2nd highest Fantasy Points Per Dollar play at DFS Army’s Domination Station.  I’ve learned not to go against the Dom Station and judging by Tyler’s game logs, it looks like the optimizer is expecting some positive Touchdown regression.

Speaking of the Domination Station, Yahoo DFS is now live on the Dom Station at DFS Army. Use the optimizer that DFS Army Subscribers use to win big every week by clicking HERE!

Wide Receivers

Davante Adams $34

His 31% target share on the season is elite usage for an elite Wide Receiver. He’s certainly the top pay up option this week with several of the elite options off the main slate. However, he does face a Texans secondary that has only allowed one Touchdown to Wide Receivers this season. The decision point here is whether you like Jacobs or Adams better this week and Jacobs does have the better matchup.

Ceedee Lamb $23

Ceedeee Lamb is my favorite Cash play WR this week as he projects just a fraction of a point below Davante Adams and is $11 cheaper. Dallas has a 28-point team total which is the 2nd highest on the slate so it’s no wonder why Lamb projects so well.

Deebo Samuel $23

The game flow last week dictated that the 49ers had to abandon the run game and go pass heavy with Deebo and Aiyuk. This week they face a Kansas City team that can score easily, so they figure to be trailing again. Deebo’s 29% target share on the season is ideal and he’s scored in 2 out of 3 of his last games; Deebo has the 4th highest WR projection at DFS Army. (14.76 FPTS)

Chris Godwin $18

Godwin remains underpriced relative to his usage. He saw a 32% target share last week and faces a Carolina defense that is bottom 10 in the league to opposing wide receivers. Godwin is top 10 in both projections and fantasy points per dollar players this week for Wide Receivers.

Robert Woods $13

At least one value option is usually needed at Wide Receiver and this week Woods projects as the top Fantasy Points per Dollar play. With Treylon Burks out of the lineup, it’s no surprise why as Woods saw a 34% target share and projects for 10 points, which is a mark he’s hit in 2 out of his last 3 games.

Tight Ends

George Kittle $18

George Kittle has seen a big uptick in target share within San Fran’s offense recently as he had a 27% target share last week and has averaged 8 targets in the past two weeks. He projects very well this week at DFS Army with a projection of 10 points.

Cade Otton $10

Cade Otton is minimally priced and with Brate being carted off last week, we can expect Cade Otton to slide into Tampa’s offense nicely again this week. Otton was targeted by brady in the endzone and deep down the middle, which is what we look for on Yahoo.

Greg Dulcich $10

The Broncos offense has been a disaster. However, after Denver traded Noah Fant to Seattle in the Russell Wilson deal, they targeted Dulcich in the Draft by using their first pick on him. He finally made his NFL debut Monday night against Los Angeles – after recovering from a hamstring issue – and shined out of the gate.

Greg’s pricing has already been set by Yahoo beforehand so he’s a stone cold minimum priced tight end and DFS Army’s top Fantasy Points per Dollar Play at the position.

Defenses

Los Angeles Chargers $11

the Chargers are the 4th highest projected scoring Defense this week and 2nd Fantasy Points per Dollar Play. In tournaments, I’ll get off the Raiders and take some chances here as well.

Las Vegas Raiders $10

The Raiders project as the top Fantasy Points Per Dollar play this week against a Houston team with a young, turnover prone QB like Mills. At minimum pricing, lock them into your Cash lineup.

Top Yahoo! Stack of the Week

Patrick Mahomes & Travis Kelce

Game total 48.5

Team Total 25.5

With no Allen or Hurts on the slate, and the Chiefs coming off of a loss, I like Mahomes and Kelce to bounce back against 49ers Defense that is a bit overrated. The 49ers Defense has faced some pretty inept offenses that has inflated their numbers a bit such as Denver, Chicago, and Carolina.

At pretty flat ownership, I like Mahomes stacks this week with Kelce and the other pass catcher like MVS who projects at under 5% ownership as of Wednesday.

Projected Ownership: 20.46%

Top Yahoo! Leverage Plays

Quarterbacks

Dak Prescott at 6%

Dak is expected to be back this week vs a Lions Defense that is allowing the most points per game of any Defense. The 2nd highest projected game on the slate and a 28-point team total suggests that the Cowboys will be scoring a lot. I’ll definitely be over the field here at this low of ownership.

Running Backs

Breece Hall 9.75%

The matchup isn’t great but the best way for the Jets to move the ball against Denver is through Breece Hall. Jacobs had almost 200 yards vs Denver so they can be beat on the ground and Breece Hall has looked really good.

Travis Etienne 6.85%

Etienne out snapped Robinson last week and almost had an even split with him carrying the football. He’s looked really explosive over the past two weeks as he’s averaged 7.85 Yards per carry, and his role looks to be growing so I like him in tournaments as leverage off of the chalk

D’andre Swift 1.94%

Out of sight, out of mind? The very low ownership projection might be a result of not knowing if Swift will play or not, but if he’s active and under 10% owned, I’m all about it in what projects as a high scoring game.

Wide Receivers

Amon-Ra St. Brown at 9.44%

Amon-Ra’s usage and production when he plays are among the league’s best. You need exposure to him in tournaments at low ownership.

Mike Evans at 7.84%

If everyone is going to be playing Godwin and/or Fournette, that’s exactly the direct leverage that I want to play Evans

MVS at 6.55%

The 0 Burger from MVS last week must have scared everybody away. He had a touchdown called back so I’ll go right back to him if the ownership stays this low.

Brandon Aiyuk at 6%

I expect the 49ers to be trailing the Chiefs this week which sets up a positive game script for Aiyuk again who caught 8 balls on 11 targets for 83 yards and 2 touchdowns. He’s in play again at low ownership.

Michael Gallup at 4%

Lamb figures to get all the ownership this week as he projects very well so Gallup will be a great leverage play off of Lamb at low ownership in a high projected game.

Tight Ends

Darren Waller at 5%

Both Jacobs and Adams project to get a lot of love from the field this week, so I’ll take a few shots with Waller at the ever so volatile Tight End Position.

TJ Hockenson at 2%

With Tight Ends, we embrace the variance of low ownership and we’ve already seen a Hockenson ceiling game this year.

Defenses

Dallas Cowboys at 3%

The Dallas Defense is good at creating turnovers as they have 3 games this year with double digit scoring. This is the spot where I want to take some chances at low ownership like with the Cardinals DST last week that ended up in GPP Winning lineups.
