My Take on a Consistent MLB DFS Process – Looking at Pitchers
I always start an MLB slate by looking at pitching, not only do you get a grasp on who the pitchers are that you want to target, but gives you a holistic look at the slate as well. Breaking down pitching also gives you an idea of what offenses are in good spots against bad/vulnerable pitchers. I start my research by going straight to the MLB Carnage Report this is where we can analyze all the pitchers on the slate in a compact, yet detailed manner. For the postseason, I have created a new sheet under our Cheat Sheets. I look into the Pitch Profile match-ups for each game, a definite MUST READ!

Rundown:
This game has opened with a total of 6.5. The NYY roster has 94 Ks through 8 games this postseason. They have 41 in the first 3 games of this series. I am not sure they can just wake up and put up a fight being down 3-0. I would expect to get their best efforts today but how can you when you are taking strikes and swinging at balls constantly?
Houston just keeps getting production from up and down the lineup right now. Altuve might be waking up and that’s not a good thing for Cortes today. I really want to see both series’ go 6+ but I think they both might end today.

Rundown:
This game has opened with a total of 6.5. Game 4 was definitely fun to watch with both offenses throwing haymakers early on. The Phillies were able to keep the pedal down. There have been plenty of HRs but I think we end up seeing a game go under today. I really want SD to extend the series but I trust Wheeler more than Darvish in an advance/elimination spot.
The Padres NEED to be carried by Soto and Machado today. Getting help from Cronenworth and whoever they start at 1B and DH. Can Schwarber and Harper keep up their power stroke? I think we see a couple of HRs in a low-scoring affair.
