1. Rashaad Penny $4,900 – Lions games this season are averaging 62.6 ppg and this is the 2nd highest game total of the week (48) against the Seahawks. Penny hasn’t done much yet this season, but this is the matchup for him to get going. He leads the team with 70% of Seattle’s rushing attempts, and now they are down to 3 RBs with Travis Homer going on IR. The Lions are the 31st-ranked defense against opposing RBs on DraftKings and when Penny played the Lions at the end of last year he totaled 170 yards on 25 carries and scored 2 TDs. He is my favorite punt play at RB this week if we need to save salary at the position and we currently have him projected around 5% ownership.

 

2. Zay Jones $4,200 – Zay Jones is making my list for the 3rd time this season. He does have a Q tag with an ankle injury, but if he is unable to go then Marvin Jones Jr. can take his spot on this list as the clear #2 WR. If Zay is able to go, then he is still not priced up enough coming off a 24.5-point game. He is leading the Jaguars in receptions this year (19) and this should be a game where they have to pass a lot since they are 6.5-point road underdogs to the Eagles. If he plays this week then he is a guy I will look to get leverage on and he is a solid run-back option for Jalen Hurts stacks.

 

3. Richie James Jr. $4,000 – Sterling Shepard tore his ACL last week and he was leading the team in snaps and targets at WR. Richie James Jr. was 2nd in snaps last week and he is 2nd on the team in targets this season where he has caught 82.4% of passes his way playing mainly out of the slot position. He should benefit from the loss of Shepard and this team is running low on WRs. James Jr. should start seeing more usage than this price tag indicates and he is in play in all formats this week as our highest projected Fpts/$ play on the slate under $5k.

 

4. Romeo Doubs $4,500 – Romeo Doubs is coming off a 21.3-point DraftKings score where he was on the field for 89% of snaps and was the target leader catching all 8 passes his way with Allen Lazard back in the lineup and Sammy Watkins out. The Packers have one of the higher team totals of the week (25) and Aaron Rodgers seems to have trust in Doubs. He could become the clear #1 or #2 WR on this team and having the back-to-back MVP throwing to him isn’t a bad thing. We have Doubs projected as the 3rd highest Fpts/$ play under $5k this week at WR in our DFS Army projections.

 

5. David Njoku $3,700 – David Njoku has been on the field for 90% of snaps this season and he is 2nd on the team in targets after seeing 10 last week and catching 9 of them for 89 yards and 1 TD. DFS Army currently has Njoku projected as the 5th highest scoring TE of the week but he is the 11th most expensive at the position. He will gain some ownership after his performance last week but at this price, he is in play in all formats and one of my favorite paydown options on the slate.
