Vera $8500 Vs. Cruz $7700

The line to Impact Lean: -190 to go to decision

Vera is a tough fighter who has proven his chin and durability time and time again. I don’t think Cruz has much for him as he doesn’t appear to have a significant advantage in any area of the fight. To that note, the over 4.5 is -175, which further compliments the favorite as a DraftKings play in UFC San Diego.

Cruz is not entirely out of this fight, though. On that note, I will decide on his ownership when ownership projections are released. If he is going to go way under-owned for a fighter in a 5 round fight, I could see myself elevating him slightly. However, he does not show much upside from the striking or TD department. The lack of striking and TD, combined with his primary means of winning being a decision, makes him a play I am weary of.

Regardless I am all in on this fight, and a piece of it will be in every DraftKings lineup I make for UFC San Diego.

UFC San Diego Betting: I think vera is a nice parlay piece and a piece that gives you a hedge-out option at the end of the night.

Vera Vs. Cruz

Silva $9000 Vs. Meerschaert $7200

The line to Impact Lean: Under 1.5 -125

I may like this fight better than the main event for a GPP play because I feel like it will be less owned and offer just as much or more upside for DraftKings Scoring. My prediction is Silva comes out and puts Meerschaert out in Rd1 via KO/TKO, which carries a line of +140. I love that, and his KO/TKO/DQ line at any time in the fight is -150.

On the other side of the Meerschaert is someone who somehow lands submissions in the middle of getting his butt kicked. He has three submission wins in a row and carries a submission line of +500 compared to the decision line of +750. All that said, I am ALL IN on this fight and will lean towards Silva, but I will be at least at the field projected ownership for both fighters as I don’t see many worlds where these guys don’t score well in a win.

 

UFC San Diego Pick: Silva $9000

Vegas 59 Betting: Under 1.5 -125

 Godinez $9200 Vs.  Hill $7200

The line to Impact Lean: Godinez -150 Decision

Not a whole bunch to go over here. It is pretty simple, Hill is over the Hill (Get it), and she is fighting Loopy, who will take you down and will as she averages 5.7 TD per fight and has had as many as 8 TD in one fight. She is +500 to get a submission as the strong lean is a decision for her, but I can’t help but think about if she hits the submission (which she can do) at +500 with some striking and at least 5 TDs in the process. Can you say OPTIMAL?!

With that said, Loopy is a core play for me this week, and I think there may be a chance she goes overlooked.

On the Hill side of the fight, I will fade her altogether, as even in a win, she will likely not score well.

FIGHT to FADE

Nunes $7900 Vs. Calvillo $8300

This fight is not attractive to me as it lacks action potential, and the fighters are priced up compared to their scoring potential. I don’t see many worlds where this fight scores well for DraftKings.
