Main MLB Slate Player Projections and Stacks:

Cincinnati Reds (+270) @ Philadelphia Phillies (-335)

Implied Run Totals:

Reds – 3.1 IRT

Phillies – 5.7 IRT

Rundown:

We’ll kick this slate off with Justin Dunn getting the start for the Reds as they face off against this Phillies offense. Dunn has been a guy I’ve looked to stack to in his starts due to how poor he was in the minors and he’s carried that to the big leagues with a 6.08 ERA and an xERA of 7.93… he won’t make my pitching pool in this one. The Phillies will look like an elite stack with an implied run total of 5.7 here. Speaking of the Phillies, they’ll send Aaron Nola to the mound in what looks like a great matchup against this below-average Reds offense. He’s a -335 favorite, so the winning equity looks huge as well.

CIN 5-star plays: None

4-star plays: Jonathan India, Jake Fraley

GPP Note: More of a one-off team than anything for me here.

PHI 5-star plays: Kyle Schwarber, Rhys Hoskins

4-star plays: Nick Castellanos, Alec Bohm, Jean Segura, J.T. Realmuto

GPP Note: The Phillies look great here and are a top stack on this slate for me.

Chicago White Sox (-120) @ Baltimore Orioles (+102)

Implied Run Totals:

White Sox – 4.5 IRT

Orioles – 4.2 IRT

Rundown:

The White Sox will send Lance Lynn to the mound in what looks like a decent enough matchup in a pitcher’s park. Lynn has at least 18.6 DraftKings points in three of his last four games to go along with a 24.5% strikeout rate on the season. The price tag on both DraftKings and FanDuel looks great as well, but would likely be more fit for a two-pitcher site like DraftKings where you can use him as an SP2. Jordan Lyles will get the start for the Orioles and probably isn’t a guy I’ll get all that much of here. He’s normally a pretty big HR/9 guy, but at just 1.23 this season, that ballpark factor certainly plays a role, but I just don’t think he’s all that good with a 4.82 xERA against a good offense.

CHW 5-star plays: Luis Robert

4-star plays: Andrew Vaughn, Jose Abreu, Gavin Sheets, Yoan Moncada

GPP Note: I wish Eloy Jimenez was in the lineup, he makes it look a lot better, but I think the White Sox look solid enough here.

BAL 5-star plays: None

4-star plays: Cedric Mullins, Adley Rutschman

GPP Note: I’ll have more Lynn than any bats from the O’s.

Toronto Blue Jays (-175) @ Boston Red Sox (+145)

Implied Run Totals:

Blue Jays – 5.2 IRT

Red Sox – 4.0 IRT

Rundown:

Kevin Gausman will get the start for the Jays as they stay in Fenway Park to face off with the Red Sox. Gausman bounced back nicely against the Yankees last time out and now has at least 52 FanDuel points in two of his last four games and is a guy I have no issue going right back to here. The Red Sox will send Kutter Crawford to the mound in just won’t be a guy I get to here against a good Jays offense in a good ballpark for hitting. Crawford has not been good and is coming off of a 9 earned run start against the Orioles.

TOR 5-star plays: Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette

4-star plays: George Springer, Alejandro Kirk, Teoscar Hernandez, Matt Chapman

GPP Note: The Jays look like a great stack yet again here.

BOS 5-star plays: None

4-star plays: Alex Verdugo, Xander Bogaerts, Rafael Devers

GPP Note: I will likely have more Gausman than this Red Sox offense, but there are some fine one-offs.

Watching the weather is half the battle when it comes to MLB DFS. The DFS Army Weather Station has you covered, from games that have delay and postponement potential, to games that could have significant winds that will play a roll in selecting a team to stack or a pitcher to use.

Colorado Rockies (+340) @ New York Mets (-450)

Implied Run Totals:

Rockies – 2.3 IRT

Mets – 4.9 IRT

Rundown:

Colorado will send Ryan Feltner to the mound in a really tough matchup with this Mets lineup. Feltner hasn’t been good this season even though he’s coming off of a nice start last time out against the Giants. He has a hard hit rate of 44.8% on the season and a 19% strikeout rate isn’t enough to make up for the matchup, so not a guy I’ll get to here. I will, however, get a ton of Jacob deGrom who is making the start for the Mets. They come in as -450 favorites which is just silly. The Rockies aren’t good away from home and deGrom is striking out batters at a 45.7% rate on the season, he’s an elite option in all formats on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

COL 5-star plays: None

4-star plays: None

GPP Note: I’m not playing batters against deGrom.

NYM 5-star plays: Starling Marte, Francisco Lindor

4-star plays: Pete Alonso, Brandon Nimmo, Brett Baty

GPP Note: The Mets look like a great stack here.

Minnesota Twins (+150) @ Houston Astros (-180)

Implied Run Totals:

Twins – 3.8 IRT

Astros – 5.0 IRT

Rundown:

The Twins will send Chris Archer to the mound in a tough matchup with the Astros who are seeing the ball really well as a whole. Archer really hasn’t been all that bad in real life but doesn’t have the strikeout or swing-and-miss upside for me to love him in fantasy. The price tag isn’t awful if you wanted to make a case for an SP2 on DraftKings, but the matchup gets me off of that pretty quickly. Luis Garcia will start for the Astros and hasn’t been all that impressive to me considering his price tag. He’s been held to less than 20 DraftKings points in five straight games and this Twins team has some solid bats that can take advantage when he struggles although it does help that Byron Buxton is on the IL.

MIN 5-star plays: None

4-star plays: Carlos Correa, Jorge Polanco, Jose Miranda, Luis Arraez

GPP Note: More of a mini-stack team than anything.

HOU 5-star plays: Yordan Alvarez, Kyle Tucker

4-star plays: Trey Mancini, Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman

GPP Note: The Astros look great again here.

New York Yankees (-225) @ Oakland Athletics (+188)

Implied Run Totals:

Yankees – 4.6 IRT

Athletics – 3.1 IRT

Rundown:

We’ll round out the slate with the Yankees heading into Oakland and sending Jameson Taillon to the mound to kick the series off. Taillon hasn’t done anything eye-popping as of late but has been solid enough and the matchup is great against this Athletics offense. He has a 20.7% strikeout rate on the season and is a solid option in all formats on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Oakland will start James Kaprielian against a tough Yankees lineup. He’s struggled with command over his last couple of starts and the matchup stinks against this high-powered Yankees lineup, so not a guy I’ll get to here.

NYY 5-star plays: Aaron Judge, Anthony Rizzo

4-star plays: Giancarlo Stanton, Josh Donaldson, DJ LeMahieu

GPP Note: The only thing I don’t like for the Yankees stack is the ballpark.

OAK 5-star plays: None

4-star plays: None

GPP Note: This lineup stinks.
