As I have stated so many times, I love this fight because I think you have a legitimate up-and-comer in Jake Shore fighting an improving and battle-tested Ricky Simon. The primary approach I take is from a DFS angle, specifically as an MME player (Mass Multi-Entry). Therefore, I will ensure I am all over both of these guys, but I will get more of the dog in this! I think Simon flies under the radar here and is capable of defeating shore…
Shore is legit and talented, but has he been tested with a fighter like Ricky Simon yet?? I don’t think so!! So, whenever I see a fight like this, I love to jump all over the live dog in the fight because that is where the value is!! Furthermore, while that line is juicy on the go to the distance, let’s keep in mind the R1 finish prop is +380, further telling us this fight could score well in multiple outcomes.
Finally, neither fighter is priced relative to their possible score. On that note, I am highly invested in both fighters with an ownership edge towards the dog. Ricky Simon is +200 to get a decision, and I think that could be his best shot, but let’s not sleep on the tight lines between him winning by finishing in R1 +2200 or R2 +2800 as this will score great for a $7400 fighter as well.

Vegas Odds: Ortega -165, Rodriguez +140, Under 4.5 -140
Going all in on this fight! 5 round fight with both fighters priced at a reasonable rate with a high chance of someone getting finished within the five rounds?! Oh yeah, I love that!
While the Shore fight is my fan favorite, this is one of my DFS favorites, as I do not see how one of these fighters does not end up in the nuts. Over the past five cards, the main event has been in the optimal lineup each week! Don’t fix it if it isn’t broken, as they say, which is the thought I am following here.
Ortega is +165 to get a decision/TKO/KO, which is my prediction for this fight. He went the distance with Volkanovski, which in my book, does nothing but add credibility to him because there are levels to this game, and Volkanovski is at the top level. He is +250 for submission and averages over 100 fantasy points in his last three wins. I like him to hit that here regardless of his method of victory. Therefore, I will have more of Ortega than Rodriguez, but I do not think you can afford to fade the dog in this spot across multiple lineups.
To that note, I think I am going to AT LEAST be at the field on Rodriguez as he is +400 KO/TKO/DQ, and he went five rounds against Holloway. So that tells us both guys have fallen short fighting top competition but have the heart to stick it out with the best. Specifically, I think Rodriguez hits the +400 KO/TKO/DQ IF he wins!

Li ($7600) Vs. Salikhov ($8600)
Vegas Odds: Li +150, Salikhov $8600
WOOF WOOF!!!
I have to say, value is with the dog here, but the favorite is a favorite for a reason! Regardless, someone is getting finished with the under 2.5 set at +115; I like that even more!
The pick is Li because I love his three finishes in 4 wins and the opponents he has faced. Now, I also think from a DFS perspective; people may turn their noses up at him as Chimaev recently submitted him. Let’s remember; it is CHIMAEV!! He is one of the best fighters in the UFC and will do that to many people in the division. Furthermore, Salikhov is on a five-fight win streak, so I don’t think we can afford to be entirely off him and go all in on the dog.
However, the fight is ALL IN, meaning I will have one of these fighters in every lineup I submit as I am highly confident that the winner will score well regardless. Li is +650 to hit an R1 KO/TKO/DQ and +330 to hit that at any time in the fight. To that note, I think that is how he wins and lands in the optimal lineup.

FIGHT to FADE
Tate $8,800 Vs. Murphy $7,400
Vegas Odds: Tate -170, Murphy +145, Over 2.5 -300
I have no interest in this fight for DFS, and if it hurts me, I can live with that as I do not think either fighter will score well in a row that is more than likely going to end in a dull decision which line is at -300 as I write this. To that note, I won’t waste much more time talking about it, but remember, neither fighter has shown a propensity to score well in DFS in past performances, and the trend will continue here.
