Darlington Raceway

We have all three top NASCAR Series in Darlington this week. Trucks and Cup are in round one of the playoffs, while the Xfinity Series are just a couple races from setting their playoff roster. Darlington is a super tricky 1.3 mile track with completely different corners on both ends of the track. Tire wear is off the charts here with fall off likely to be over 4 seconds at the end of a green flag run. Long run speed is vital and everyone will want new tires every single caution. Long green flag runs are the norm but with the craziness that is the Xfinity and Truck series you can never truly predict how they will fall. Due to limited sets of tires, there could be some strategy involved as a result.

The best place to research this race would be in the comparable track sections of the DFS Army Research Station.

 Cup DFS Outlook

Super long race this weekend so get comfy. Tons of dominator points on the table as well and it is vital that you hit the right ones. I will play 2-3 dominators in every lineup. This race should be a head to head battle between JGR and HMS in what should be a 10 round slugfest between the two organizations. There are a bunch of place differential options this week to attack as well. Balancing how many dominators you want vs having enough of the place diff plays will be hard. YOu might want to consider punting with one of those cars with a number in the 50s. Long green flag runs are super common so long run speed is everything. Track history is massive here.

Xfinity Series DFS Outlook

This should be the Denny Hamlin show. You can possible stack him with a driver starting at the front who might dominate the first stage but outside of that or Denny getting a speeding penalty, this should be Hamlin kicking everyones ass. If you are playing with that in mind then you can really focus on the place diff plays starting mid pack on back. Tons of viable options and it makes it easy to play them when you aren’t focusing on trying to hit multiple domiantors. If you chose to fade Hamlin then you will need to figure out who will lead most of this race. Hemric and Allgaier are going to be my top choices.

Truck Series DFS Outlook

This race was an absolute shit show in May. Half the field failed to finish and aside from look at who had speed, you can’t take much out of it. Creed, Nemechek, Gilliland, and Rhodes seem to be best suited for this track and should be our top contenders for the win. Kligerman will be extremely popular as he should be. From there you will have to find some good value options to afford these top priced drivers together. You can definitely consider playing some trash in the back because this series often gives us a high DNF rate making these drivers extremely viable.
