Indiana Pacers @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: 234

Vegas Spread: Uth -10

Here we have an island game, as this one starts at 3ET, so it is not included on the main slate. Starting with the Pacers, the only injury to note for them is Myles Turner, who will come in as questionable, but I would think he’s closer to doubtful as he hasn’t shown much signs of progress. One thing to note on the Pacers is they’re playing a lot faster than they were earlier in the season which has been helping their DFS production a good deal as you see this has a high total at 234. Domantas Sabonis has been crushing it in Turner’s absence and he is a great play again here today. I don’t love the price tag on Caris LeVert, but it’s not without warrant, he has also been crushing with Turner out, but that tag has really risen on both sites. Malcolm Brogdon has also been on fire, and these are the three guys you’re going to want to target in showdown from this Pacers squad. If you need value, Justin Holiday should also see more minutes at the 4. Now for the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell is on absolute fire right now, as he’s been lights out these past few games and I don’t see that changing here today especially in a fast paced game like this, he’s an elite play here tonight. Mike Conley has also been really solid and he gets a decent matchup against Brogdon, but I won’t be overweight on him. If either of those guys were to sit out this game then it would also make Joe Ingles and Jordan Clarkson really nice value plays as well, especially Ingles if Clarkson misses again. Rudy Gobert should also be able to get whatever he wants here against this Pacers D as they have been bleeding FPs to bigs over the last few weeks. Also, if Royce O’Neale misses again that would open up more minutes for Georges Niang as well. Lastly, Bojan Bogdanovic has had an off year, but he should see plenty of open 3 opportunities in this one so he is in play for GPPs.

5-star play: Domantas Sabonis, Donovan Mitchell

4-star play: Caris LeVert, Malcolm Brogdon, Mike Conley, Rudy Gobert

Deeper Value: Bojan Bogdanovic, Georges Niang (if he starts)

GPP Sleeper: Georges Niang

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total: 215.5

Vegas Spread: Det -2.5

From the Thunder, Moses Brown bounced back nicely the other night and he is starting to heat back up, and the price hasn’t caught up yet. Kenrich Williams has seen his minutes plummet, with Darius Bazley back we will likely see that again here. Speaking of Bazley, heis very up and down, so he’ll be GPP onl. Lu Dort also has an elite ceiling as we saw a few nights ago, but the consistency just isn’t there. Lastly, Theo Maledon is a fine secondary option, the minutes should still be there on him as he continues to run the point. From the Pistons, Mason Plumlee got his minutes up last time out, but on a big slate, I’m not going to trust them to give him the minutes he needs to lead you to cash here. Josh Jackson looked great last game as well, but with this team near full health, I’m going to have trouble getting too much of it. Saddiq Bey looked solid as well and his minutes are trending in the right direction, his minutes should be pretty secure as he’s a young guy the Pistons want to get a hard look at to end the season. The last guy that should see big minutes is Cory Joseph, he’s been getting good run lately and a guy they seem like they want to get a good look at. The rest of this team is more of a stay away than anything really, they went 13 guys deep yesterday which is just going to be tough to secure minutes and fantasy production when guys aren’t getting solid minutes. UPDATE: Jerami Grant and Mason Plumlee are out here, this makes Isaiah Stewart a phenomenal play here as well.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Mason Plumlee, Jerami Grant, Moses Brown, Lu Dort

Deeper Value: Cory Joseph, Saddiq Bey, Josh Jackson, Theo Maledon

GPP Sleeper: Saddiq Bey, Jerami Grant

Los Angeles Clippers @ Philadelphia 76ers

Vegas Total: 224.5

Vegas Spread: Phi -3

Starting with the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard comes into this one as questionable due to soreness…again. I would think he sits one more game though as they’re prepping for a long playoff run. George would become an elite option again if Kawhi were to sit. We can run the same data with Kawhi off the court this season:

  • Paul George – 36.3% usage rate; 1.55 fpm
  • Terance Mann – 19.0% usage rate; 0.90 fpm
  • Luke Kennard – 22.8% usage rate; 1.05 fpm
  • Reggie Jackson – 22.7% usage rate; 0.92 fpm
  • Marcus Morris – 25.9% usage rate; 1.16 fpm

Paul George is the clear guy you’ll want here, he has at least 50 DraftKings points in four straight games. Marcus Morris and Nic Batum had nice games the last time out as well and are at cheap price points. But Morris missed last game as well, if he misses again I’ll go right back to Terance Mann after he got into foul trouble the other night. This game looks like it’ll be pretty entertaining, so this is one I want to target especially if Kawhi is out. Starting with the Sixers, Joel Embiid has rounded back into form, and he has an elite ceiling against this Clippers weak interior.  Tobias Harris and Ben Simmons are both solid plays as well, but I’m not too high on Ben Simmons here tonight as he doesn’t have a great track record against the Clippers. Seth Curry is solid here as well, and he makes for solid play at his price point here. Shake Milton would also become a really nice value play as well as he leads their 2nd unit in scoring coming off the bench.

5-star play: Joel Embiid, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard (if he plays)

4-star play: Tobias Harris, Ben Simmons

Deeper Value: Marcus Morris, Terance Mann, Seth Curry, Shake Milton

GPP Sleeper: Luke Kennard

New Orleans Pelicans @ Washington Wizards

Vegas Total: 241

Vegas Spread: Nop -2

This looks like its a game we’ll want to target as well, as both of these teams play fast as shown by the total. Starting with the Pelicans, Zion Williamson has been lighting it up in all aspects, and his price is approaching 10K but for good reason. He’s a premier play here tonight against this weak Wizards D. Brandon Ingram has also returned and looked pretty good, basically all the Pels starters are in play here with this total. Naji Marshall also continues to start, and he is a solid value here, especially if Ball were to miss as he started in his absence last game. James Johnson is also playing big minutes off the bench as well, I like him for value tonight again as well. This should be an interesting game, as we have a high total and if the Wizards can keep this one close then this game has some GPP winning upside for sure. Now for the Wizards, Russell Westbrook is a premier play once again, even in a matchup like this as he is hard to contain. If Bradley Beal is in here tonight I will like this game more, as he could help keep this game competitive, he has said that his hip is literally day to day depending on how it feels when he wakes up, so it is a toss up if he plays tonight. Rui Hachimura has also turned it on the past few weeks and he would be a great play if Beal were to miss here tonight. Robin Lopez is my favorite play off the bench, as Len will likely be a bit limited here as well, but Daniel Gafford is back as well, and he is a solid value especially if Bertans is out. Deni Avdija didn’t have a great game last night, but he would be a really nice value as well if Beal and Bertans were to miss. Lastly, if Bertans is out as well then I’ll have a few shares of Chandler Hutchison as well as he’ll dominate usage with that 2nd unit along with Gafford.

5-star play: Zion Williamson, Russell Westbrook

4-star play: Bradley Beal, Brandon Ingram, Rui Hachimura, Lonzo Ball (if in)

Deeper Value: Daniel Gafford, Naji Marshall, James Johnson

GPP Sleeper: Daniel Gafford

Charlotte Hornets @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total: 223.5

Vegas Spread: Bkn -12.5

Here is another decent game to target, as we could get some nice FPs if the Hornets can keep this one close. From the Hornets, Terry Rozier returned last game and looked great, while PJ Washington ended up missing and comes into this one as questionable, keep an eye on his status, but I’ll operate under the assumption that they’ll play for now. With Malik Monk, LaMelo Ball, and Gordon Hayward all off the court there is going to be some extra usage and opportunity to go around for the rest of these starters, but I just hate the price tag, we haven’t seen him produce well enough to warrant that rate. Devonte’ Graham has been playing really well outside of that last game, but he gets a great matchup here tonight. Lastly, Miles Bridges and Jalen McDaniels have looked great at the wings, I like them both yet again here at their respective price tags. Starting with the Nets, James Harden will continue to be out here while Kyrie Irving comes into this one as questionable. Kevin Durant is starting to get to the point where I think we can start to consider him as he is ramping up and should play after sitting out their last game. Joe Harris is coming off a nice game as well, he’s more of a GPP guy due to his scoring dependency, however. Bruce Brown would be a guy I have an interest in if Irving ends up sitting again while guys like Jeff Green and Blake Griffin haven’t done enough as of late for me to have interest in them on a big slate.

5-star play: Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving

4-star play: Miles Bridges, Devonte’ Graham, Blake Griffin, Terry Rozier

Deeper Value: Bruce Brown, Jeff Green

GPP Sleeper: Bruce Brown, Jalen McDaniels

Orlando Magic @ Toronto Raptors

Vegas Total: 218

Vegas Spread: Tor -2.5

This game has a lower total, so it isn’t one that I’ll be targeting too heavily here tonight. Starting with the Magic, Mo Bamba has been on a tear but his hip injury has taken him out here, so that means that Wendell Carter Jr. will see a ton of run here again tonight against a bad TOR interior. Cole Anthony and RJ Hampton have also both been getting big minutes off the bench here, but I would prefer if both of them started. Terrence Ross is also in play here with the usage he gets with the 2nd unit, and with Michael Carter-Williams out for the next few games it pushes him into playable territory here but I hate his price tag. From the Raptors, Kyle Lowry is going to be out again here along with DeAndre’ Bembry which is bigger news than you might think. This all but locks Malachi Flynn into a 35-minute role and will start again here. However, Fred VanVleet is back here tonight and Nurse doesn’t baby his guys so we know he’ll play some solid minutes and the matchup is fantastic. Pascal Siakam bounced back the other night, but with FVV back it limits his ceiling a bit. The price is too high on OG Anunoby as well with VanVleet back but he is in play for cash. Lastly, Chris Boucher and Gary Trent Jr. are solid GPP options but we know the volatility that comes with them. Khem Birch would also be a solid value again if he starts here as well.

5-star play: Fred VanVleet

4-star play: Wendell Carter, Malachi Flynn, Pascal Siakam, Chris Boucher

Deeper Value: Khem Birch, Cole Anthony, RJ Hampton

GPP Sleeper: Cole Anthony, Khem Birch

Memphis Grizzlies @ Chicago Bulls

Vegas Total: 225

Vegas Spread: Mem -4.5

This game got a lot more interesting, as Zach LaVine will be out due to health protocols, so that opens up a lot of usage on this Bulls offense. Starting with the Grizzlies, Ja Morant has the best matchup here on the night, as the Bulls struggle to defend PGs and Jonas Valanciunas is coming off a monster game, but he runs into the buzzsaw that is Vuc here tonight, so I’m likely fading him here. Dillon Brooks has been solid as well, but he’s priced right about at value here so he’s more of a cash game type play tonight. Desmond Bane also played big minutes, and I’d expect him to do some more here tonight as the Grizzlies really like him, as I like Brandon Clarke here as well. Now for the Bulls, Nikola Vucevic and Zach LaVine have been absolutely dominating the usage here, and with LaVine out even more of that will go to Vuc. Thaddeus Young has also been really solid, as Lauri Markkanen’s role continues to diminish. Daniel Theis’ role has also been expanding, as he is eating into both Markkanen and Thad’s minutes. Patrick Williams is also as solid value as he has some serious upside but the consistency is his main issue. Tomas Satoransky is also in play as long as he continues to start, and he’d be in line for more usage with LaVine out as well. Coby White also comes into play here as someone will have to take some of LaVine’s shots and I’d bet that its him.

5-star play: Nikola Vucevic, Ja Morant

4-star play: Thad Young, Dillon Brooks, Tomas Satoransky, Jonas Valanciunas

Deeper Value: Desmond Bane, Coby White, Brandon Clarke

GPP Sleeper: Grayson Allen

Denver Nuggets @ Houston Rockets

Vegas Total: 225

Vegas Spread: Den -8.5

This is going to be a game that I want to target here, as we have a nice total and with the Nuggets losing Murray has made them a bit more susceptible to bad teams. Starting with the Nuggets, the obvious play here is going to be Nikola Jokic, as he has been on an absolute tear all year and I love him in all formats tonight as the Rockets won’t be able to stop him. Aaron Gordon is also fitting into this offense nicely, and Michael Porter Jr. has also been on a tear offensively as well, I’ll like both of them here with Murray on the shelf for the rest of the year. Monte Morris would be the guy I want to target, even if he doesn’t start, and I’ll even have some shares of Will Barton as he can run the point for them as well. This game has some sneaky shootout potential as well, as both of these teams play very fast, but I do have a worry about this game staying close as the Rockets really are just a bad basketball team. Now for the Rockets, if John Wall is in tonight he is firmly in play, however, if he were to miss, then Kevin Porter Jr. would run the point and he would become a really solid play. Christian Wood would also be a great play here as long as he doesn’t rest as he is still to cheap for the usage he has on this offense and the matchup is solid against Gordon who isn’t great defensively. Kelly Olynyk has also been great as well and he’s reasonably priced still. Kenyon Martin Jr. would also be in line for some run here if Wall is out, and I wouldn’t hate Sterling Brown coming off the bench either if he suits up

5-star play: Nikola Jokic

4-star play: Michael Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon, John Wall, Christian Wood, Kevin Porter

Deeper Value: Will Barton, Kelly Olynyk, Monte Morris, Facundo Campazzo

GPP Sleeper: Monte Morris, Will Barton

Miami Heat @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Vegas Total: 219.5

Vegas Spread: Mia -7.5

This game is a major pace down spot for the Wolves, as the Heat are one of the better defensive teams in hte NBA. Starting with the Heat, they’ll be without Victor Oladipo here, as he didn’t make the trip. Jimmy Butler has at least 43 FanDuel in five of his last six games and is pretty much matchup-proof at this point, I have no issue going to him against a Timberwolves team that has struggled with opposing wings. Bam Adebayo will have his hands full in this one with KAT, but he is a great defender and he should destroy him offensively. Lastly, Tyler Herro looked good last time out as well and is a guy I don’t hate here, while Duncan Robinson is always a GPP guy due to how scoring-dependent he is. Now for the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns is a solid play here as long as this game stays close, but the matchup isn’t the best against Bam, and he has been hot as well. D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards are also solid plays here as well, but I don’t love either of them here. Ricky Rubio actually had a solid game the other night as well, and he’s in play for value at the PG spot tonight. Jaden McDaniels has also taken over that 4 spot for the Wolves, and he’s a solid play here as well tonight if you’re looking to get different in GPPs.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Karl-Anthony Towns, Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler, Anthony Edwards

Deeper Value: Ricky Rubio, Jaden McDaniels, Tyler Herro

GPP Sleeper: None

Portland Trail Blazers @ San Antonio Spurs

Vegas Total: 231.5

Vegas Spread: Por -2

Here we get a decent game to target, as we have a solid total and two teams that don’t play much defense. Starting with the Blazers, Damian Lillard should have an absolute field day here as the Spurs ge destroyed by opposing PGs. Norman Powell and CJ McCollum are also firmly in play here as the Spurs struggle against wings. Jusuf Nurkic’s minutes have also been trending upward, and the matchup is solid for him here tonight as well. Robert Covington is also a guy you can go to in GPPs as he has a nice ceiling and virtually no one will be on him. Now for the Spurs, this is a great matchup for both DeMar Derozan and Dejounte Murray as both had really solid games the other night and the Blazers allow a ton of FPs to opposing guards. Jakob Poeltl also has a solid matchup here as well, and if you’re looking for value, Derrick White and Patty Mills are in play with that solid matchup. Keldon Johnson is also worth a shot in GPPs if you’re looking to get different. But overall, the Spurs aren’t a team I ever find myself targeting too heavily.

5-star play: Damian Lillard, DeMar Derozan

4-star play: CJ McCollum, Norman Powell, Jusuf Nurkic, Dejounte Murray, Jakob Poeltl

Deeper Value: Derrick White, Patty Mills, Robert Covington

GPP Sleeper: Patty Mills

New York Knicks @ Dallas Mavericks

Vegas Total: 210.5

Vegas Spread: Dal -5

Here we have a very weak hammer game, as it is the lowest total on the slate as the Knicks are very good defensively and really slow opposing teams down. Starting with the Knicks, the only guy I’ll likely be playing from this game is Julius Randle, as this is a great spot for him going against a banged up Mavericks front court. RJ Barrett has also been solid and he isn’t too badly priced, but he’s more of a cash game play here today if at all. Elfrid Payton and Nerlens Noel are also in play here, but like I said really the only guy I’ll be targeting from this game is Randle. Now for the Mavericks, Luka Doncic is the obvious play here, but the matchup leaves a bit to be desired here as he’ll have to face a lot of double teams here and he is coming off a big game the other night with that game winning circus shot. Kristaps Porzingis would be a solid play here going up against his old team as well, as they parted on bad terms as well, but he is a GTD here as well. Josh Richardson, would become a solid play if Porzingis were to miss, as would Tim Hardaway as he would have to take on a bigger scoring role as well. Willie Cauley-Stein also played last night, and if Kleber is out again then he becomes a solid value, but if both those guys are out then we can maybe even get some Boban Marjanovic love or Nicolo Melli.

5-star play: Julius Randle, Luka Doncic

4-star play: Kristaps Porzingis, Josh Richardson

Deeper Value: Tim Hardaway, Josh Richardson, Nicolo Melli

GPP Sleeper: Boban Marjanovic (if he starts)

NBA Lock of the Day:

(Isaiah Stewart FD: $4,800 DK: $4,400)

As of typing this, Jerami Grant and Mason Plumlee will be out tonight so that opens up a ton of minutes and opportunities for Isaiah Stewart here. He should play 30+ minutes in this game with a great matchup and he could get you to 10x value here if he is on. Love him in all formats here tonight.
