Toronto Raptors @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

This should be an interesting game, as both teams are a bit shorthanded here and have been trending in the wrong direction. Starting with the Raptors, the big news hinges on whether or not Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet play, both didn’t play last game so I’m going to write this assuming they are out, even if FVV were in he has to face that 1 game suspension. It makes Pascal Siakam a phenomenal play here, as he is going to play 40+ minutes again here tonight. Chris Boucher is also a big beneficiary, as he finally cracked the starting lineup and we saw what his ceiling is last game after he dropped 67 FPs. Gary Trent Jr. is also playing big minutes but he hasn’t been doing much with them as he doesn’t look comfortable in this offense yet. Malachi Flynn would also be in play here if he starts, and I like DeAndre’ Bembry for value here as well if those two guys miss as Bembry should be back from that suspension. This is a game that could be a sneaky shootout, as both of these teams are pretty bad defensively and run some pretty tight rotations. Now for the Cavs, Collin Sexton has been their rock offensively, and with Nance already out here tonight he should see even more usage. Darius Garland has been great as well, but his matchup is fantastic as the Raptors team that has struggled to defend PGs all year long. It looks like Kevin Love’s minutes are also trending upward, if he plays 25 minutes here tonight he could be a nice value piece. Jarrett Allen didn’t practice again either, so that leaves the Cavs pretty shorthanded here, Dean Wade will have to play some big minutes here and he’ll become a really good value play once again if Nance and Allen are both ruled out again. Cedi Osman would also be a solid value play if all those guys are out. Isaiah Hartenstein has also been great and he would be a solid value tonight as well, especially if Love is out tonight for rest.

5-star play: Pascal Siakam, Chris Boucher, Collin Sexton

4-star play: Gary Trent Jr., Malachi Flynn, DeAndre’ Bembry, Darius Garland

Deeper Value: Dean Wade, Isaiah Hartenstein, Cedi Osman

GPP Sleeper: Yuta Watanabe, Gary Trent Jr.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

While I’m sure this was projected as a great Saturday night matchup, with all the injuries to the Lakers this one should be over pretty early. Starting with the Lakers, it looks like LeBron and AD will still be out here so that puts the scoring load on both Dennis Schroder and Kyle Kuzma but the matchup is great as the Nets don’t play defense. If you’re looking for value, Alex Caruso and Talen Horton-Tucker are also solid plays, as is Montrezl Harrell as his minutes should be blowout proof as well. If Andre Drummond suits up he’d be a great play as well at his price, but overall the Nets should handle this devastated Lakers team pretty easily. Now for the Nets, Kyrie Irving is the best play here, as he will get whatever he wants and the matchup is great here. Kevin Durant is still being eased in, so I’m not crazy about him at that price tag, but with Harden out I’ll have some interest in Bruce Brown and Joe Harris. LaMarcus Aldridge has also been playing well with that starting lineup and he’s a solid play as well. Nic Claxton should also get some solid run here, as he looks to be their C of the future as they continue to develop him.

5-star play: Kyrie Irving

4-star play: Dennis Schroder, Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, Bruce Brown, LaMarcus Aldridge

Deeper Value: Nic Claxton, Joe Harris, Alex Caruso, Talen Horton-Tucker

GPP Sleeper: Nic Claxton, Alex Caruso

Philadelphia 76ers @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

This game looks like it’ll be pretty boring, so I won’t have a ton of exposure here unless the Sixers are going to rest Joel Embiid who looked absolutely horrible last night. If he is out for rest (I’m expecting him to be) then it opens up a ton of usage for both Tobias Harris and Ben Simmons as both would become premier plays here tonight at their respective prices. Seth Curry would also be in line for a bigger role, and he’s always cheap everywhere. Shake Milton would also become a really nice value play as well as he leads their 2nd unit in scoring coming off the bench. Overall those are really the only guys I would be targeting from this Sixers team. Now for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Theo Maledon is going to be the primary option here, as he will run this offense as it looks like SGA will be out again here tonight, but the matchup isn’t great against Simmons. Moses Brown has also been a revelation for this Thunder team, but he would only be in play for me if Embiid were to rest as he is a great defender. Isaiah Roby is also still hurt and without Horford or Bazley,  Aleksej Pokusevski would be the main beneficiary here as he’s been fantastic the past few games and it looks like his hip is fine after that scare. Svi Mykhailiuk is also in play here for value, as is Ty Jerome who has been great as well. Most of these guys minutes are blowout proof as well considering how short on bodies they are.

5-star play: Tobias Harris, Ben Simmons

4-star play: Theo Maledon, Aleksej Pokusevski, Moses Brown, Seth Curry

Deeper Value: Ty Jerome, Svi Mykhailiuk, Shake Milton

GPP Sleeper: Seth Curry

Sacramento Kings @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: 229

Vegas Spread: Mil -1

Starting with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox has been really solid outside of one really bad game, but he gets a tough matchup here against the Jazz and Mike Conley. Tyrese Haliburton seems to have hit that rookie wall over the past 2 weeks, which benefits Buddy Hield as he’s seen an uptick in usage, but he performed well in their last game and neither guy breaks the bank, I prefer Haliburton here though as the Jazz defend the perimeter very well. Richaun Holmes has also been solid, and he’s shown to have some really nice games from time to time, but the matchup isn’t the best against Gobert and Co. Harrison Barnes also has been really solid despite his dud the other night, he’s in play in all aspects here tonight as well. Now for the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell is on absolute fire right now, as he’s been lights out these past few games and I don’t see that changing here tonight. Mike Conley has also been really solid and he has a great matchup against Fox tonight. If either of those guys were to sit out this game then it would also make Joe Ingles and Jordan Clarkson really nice value plays as well, especially Clarkson if Mitchell is out. However, Clarkson missed last game which would really make Ingles a great play as well if he sits. Rudy Gobert should also be able to get whatever he wants here against this Kings team as the matchup against Holmes doesn’t scare me. Lastly, Bojan Bogdanovic has had an off year, but he should see plenty of open 3 opportunities in this one so he is in play for GPPs.

5-star play: Donovan Mitchell

4-star play: De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton, Richaun Holmes, Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley, Harrison Barnes

Deeper Value: Bojan Bogdanovic, Joe Ingles

GPP Sleeper: Joe Ingles

Houston Rockets @ Golden State Warriors

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

This game has some sneaky shootout potential as well, as both of these teams play very fast. Starting with the Rockets, if John Wall is out again tonight he is firmly in play, however, if he were to miss, then Kevin Porter Jr. would run the point and the matchup for him is absolutely fantastic against this Warriors team. Christian Wood would also be a great play here as long as he doesn’t rest as he is still to cheap for the usage he has on this offense. Kelly Olynyk has also been great as well and he’s reasonably priced still. Kenyon Martin Jr. would also be in line for some run here if Wall is out, and I wouldn’t hate Sterling Brown coming off the bench either. Now for the Warriors, Steph Curry has been on fire these past few games, and he’s a premier play tonight after coming off a tough loss last night. Kelly Oubre Jr. and Andrew Wiggins are also in play here tonight as both have some nice upsideat their respective prices. Draymond Green also gets a great matchup here as the Rockets don’t defend bigs, and James Wiseman has a similar matchup and he is still very cheap as well. Overall this is a solid game to target tonight.

5-star play: Steph Curry

4-star play: Kevin Porter Jr., Christian Wood, Kelly Olynyk, Kelly Oubre, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green

Deeper Value: Kenyon Martin Jr., James Wiseman, Sterling Brown

GPP Sleeper: James Wiseman, Kelly Olynyk

Washington Wizards @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Starting with the Wizards, they are on the 2nd half of a B2B, so I fully expect Bradley Beal to be resting tonight as he deals with that hip issue. This makes Russell Westbrook a premier play once again, as he triple doubled again last night and he is matchup proof. Rui Hachimura has also turned it on the past few weeks and he would be a great play if Beal were to miss. Robin Lopez is my favorite play off the bench, as Len will likely be a bit limited here as well. Deni Avdija didn’t have a great game last night, but he would be a really nice value as well if Beal were to miss. Lastly, if Bertans is out as well then I’ll have a few shares of Chandler Hutchison as well as he’ll dominate usage with that 2nd unit. This should be another solid game to target here, as these two teams are in a pace up matchup as the Wizards are coming off a big win against the Warriors last night. Starting with the Suns, Chris Paul and Devin Booker should have a field day here, as the Wizards really struggle to defend guards and the two of them have been trending upward, especially Booker. DeAndre Ayton also has a great matchup here tonight, as the Wizards are probably the worst defensive team in the NBA. Mikal Bridges also plays well in fast paced games like these so he’s in play as well for GPPs. Lastly, Dario Saric should see some solid run here, and Cam Johnson even showed some signs of life the other night as well as his minutes are trending upward.

5-star play: Russell Westbrook, Devin Booker

4-star play: Rui Hachimura, Chris Paul, DeAndre Ayton, Mikal Bridges

Deeper Value: Dario Saric, Cam Johnson, Robin Lopez, Deni Avdija

GPP Sleeper: Chandler Hutchison, Davis Bertans (if in)

Detroit Pistons @ Portland Trail Blazers

Vegas Total: 226.5

Vegas Spread: Sac -6.5

Starting with the Pistons, if McGruder looks like he’ll be out again then it’ll open up a ton of minutes for Dennis Smith Jr. and Saben Lee, but the Pistons are basically a tryout for next year as this point, as there rotation is very deep at the moment. Jerami Grant missed last game, but he has been fantastic when playing and he is too cheap again tonight. Mason Plumlee missed last game as well, but he’s a solid option if he plays, but if he were to miss this game for any reason then we can go right back to some Isaiah Stewart who is a FPPM monster when he gets the minutes as we saw last time. Saddiq Bey has also been trending in the wrong direction, but there are worse value plays on this slate as he can get hot from 3 as well if he is indeed healthy as he tweaked but he’s been playing so he looks like he’s fine. Now for the Blazers, both of these teams play fast and loose and I can see this game being a shootout. Damian Lillard has a solid matchup here, but it does leave a bit to be desired here as this game could get ugly. CJ McCollum is actually a better play here tonight, as he is cheaper and has similar upside and he’s been shooting lights out. Norman Powell has also joined this team, but he has been pretty scoring dependent so I don’t love him here tonight with how this usage is spread around. Jusuf Nurkic will rest here tonight, which opens up Enes Kanter again for tonight in a plus matchup. Lastly, if you’re looking to get really deep, Robert Covington has also been playing some solid ball over the past few games and he doesn’t break the bank anywhere.

5-star play: Jerami Grant, Damian Lillard

4-star play: CJ McCollum, Enes Kanter, Mason Plumlee, Norman Powell, Robert Covington

Deeper Value: Saddiq Bey, Isaiah Stewart

GPP Sleeper: Isaiah Stewart

NBA Lock of the Day:

(Aleksej Pokusevski FD: $5,600 DK: $6,000)

It looks like Bazley may make an appearance here, but with Horford and Roby both out tonight, this dude will still get all the minutes he can handle as I fully expect Bazley to be eased back in as he’s been out for over a month. He had a dud game last time out, but I expect him to come back here as he should see 30+ minutes and I’m expecting him to absolutely crush value here.
