Full Court Press Breakdown for NBA DFS 2/18:

Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Steve aka @Mutt18 on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. We also have NEW pricing options, where you can sign up for WEEKLY access as opposed to be committed for a full month, so you have no excuse to try us out! With that said, let’s get it started!

Toronto Raptors @ Milwaukee Bucks

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

This looks like it’ll be one of the better games to target here, especially considering we just saw how it turned out a few nights ago. Fred VanVleet has the best matchup of anyone on this Raptors team, as we’ve seen them get crushed by guards who Jrue isn’t guarding, and it looks like he’ll continue to be out here. Kyle Lowry is also a solid play as he actually outperformed VanVleet last game. Pascal Siakam has also been heating up, but it looks like OG is healthy again, so it’ll be tough for him to really hit his ceiling in this game. Chris Boucher has also been logging solid minutes off the bench, but I do like Aron Baynes for value here especially on a small slate like this.

For the Bucks, the big news hinges on whether or not Jrue Holiday is back with the team here, he’s been out for the past few weeks so I’m going to write this assuming he is out again tonight. Giannis Antentokounmpo would be the biggest beneficiary if Jrue is out, as it puts his sky high ceiling back in play as he’ll have the ball in his hands more, as we saw he went for 65+ in that last game against the Raptors. Khris Middleton has also been heating up, and would be another solid beneficiary of Jrue Holiday being out, as the Raptors have been getting killed by SFs lately and he comes at a nice discount to Giannis. He also shot horribly last game, so we have some recency bias that some people will be off him tonight but this is a great spot. Donte DiVincenzo has also been playing well, and he’s a really solid value especially considering what he did last game and the lack of value on a 3 game slate like tonight. If you’re looking to get deeper value, Bobby Portis will also have a very favorable matchup against this Raptors 2nd unit.

5-star play: Fred VanVleet, Giannis Antetokounmpo

4-star play: Pascal Siakam, Kyle Lowry, Khris Middleton

Deeper Value: Bobby Portis, Donte DiVincenzo, Aron Baynes

GPP Sleeper: Chris Boucher, Bobby Portis

Brooklyn Nets @ Los Angeles Lakers

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

This is the game we’re going to want to target tonight as it should be competitive and high scoring as neither of these teams play much defense. Kevin Durant has already been ruled out so that opens up a ton of usage for Kyrie Irving and James Harden. Kyrie sat out last game, and I’d expect him to be back here for this game, especially with it being against LeBron. Both of these guys are great plays here tonight in what should be a very high scoring and competitive game. Joe Harris is also in play as well, as long as KD continues to be out. Jeff Green should also play heavy minutes, along with DeAndre Jordan. If one of Kyrie or Harden misses this game as well it’ll open up a ton of value for Bruce Brown and Timothy Luwawu-Cabbarrot. Landry Shamet has also been logging heavy minutes off the bench but he is scoring dependent, but there is worse value on a small slate like this.

For the Lakers, AD is out for the next few weeks as they won’t risk that achilles especially considering they are well on their way to locking up a playoff spot. This makes LeBron James a premier play here tonight, as he’ll be doing it all for the Lakers and we’ve seen you want to attack this Nets team. Dennis Schroder will also see an increased role, and we all know that this Nets team is horrible defensively. Montrezl Harrell will also see an increased role with Davis on the shelf, and his minutes will be blowout proof here tonight so I really like him especially since the Nets are horrible inside. Kyle Kuzma will likely slide into the starting role as well and see 30+ minutes tonight which puts him in play as well, but his price has already shot up. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is also in play for value, he has some nice upside with AD out and I like him on FanDuel more as he can get you value just in steals alone. Overall this is a Lakers team that we can get a few pieces from tonight.

5-star play: LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, James Harden

4-star play: Montrezl Harrell, Kyle Kuzma, Joe Harris, Dennis Schroder

Deeper Value: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Bruce Brown, Landry Shamet

GPP Sleeper: Landry Shamet

Miami Heat @ Sacramento Kings

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: Mia -1.5

This should be one of the lower scoring games on the slate with the Heat likely slowing this game way down. Jimmy Butler has been white hot as he dropped another 55 FP game last night. His price continues to rise though. Bam Adebayo also draws a solid matchup, as it looks like Holmes will be out here, so he won’t have much competition inside. Tyler Herro is also in play especially if he continues to come off the bench, as he should dominate usage with that 2nd unit. If Dragic is out again, it also likely means that Kendrick Nunn will draw the start again, and he is in play on a small slate as well. Kelly Olynyk is a solid value as well as he continues to play heavy minutes for this Heat team. The Heat do have a tight rotation so this is a team we can use a piece or two from when building our lineups.

For the Kings, it looks like they’ll be without both Harrison Barnes and Richaun Holmes, so that’ll open up a ton of minutes for everyone’s favorite FPPM monster, Hassan Whiteside. At 6K he’s going to be a core play for me tonight as he should see close to 30 minutes here and his upside is unmatched. De’Aaron Fox should also see more usage, and while the matchup isn’t the greatest, his price has come down on FanDuel. Marvin Bagley will also see an increased role tonight, and we may even see some Nemanja Bjelica who is dirt cheap on both sites. Buddy Hield and Tyrese Haliburton will also pick up some slack as well, overall this Kings team is one that we can target tonight with the value that has opened up.

5-star play: Jimmy Butler, Hassan Whiteside

4-star play: De’Aaron Fox, Marvin Bagley, Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro

Deeper Value: Nemanja Bjelica, Kelly Olynyk

GPP Sleeper: Hassan Whiteside

NBA Lock of the Day:

Hassan Whiteside (FD: $6,000 DK: $4,600)

We all saw how much of a FPPM monster Mr. Whiteside can be when given the minutes. Last game against BKN he saw 23 minutes and put up 59.7 FanDuel points. He also gets a nice revenge factor game here, as the Heat didn’t want to re-sign him to a long term deal, so he’ll want to really stick it to them tonight. Add in that Holmes is out, he should see close to 30 minutes, so at his price the sky is the limit.
