Full Court Press Breakdown for NBA DFS 2/13:

Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Steve aka @Mutt18 on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. We also have NEW pricing options, where you can sign up for WEEKLY access as opposed to be committed for a full month, so you have no excuse to try us out! With that said, let’s get it started!

Philadelphia 76ers @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total: 222

Vegas Spread: Phi -1.0

For the Sixers, it looks like they will be at full strength here, so Joel Embiid will be their main option on offense here, and the matchup is one where he can hit that ceiling, so he’s firmly in play here as DeAndre Ayton isn’t exactly known for his defensive prowess. Ben Simmons has a nice height advantage over CP3 here, but I don’t love his price on FanDuel especially with him coming off a great game last time out. Tobias Harris is also as steady as they come, but I think he’s priced right about at value here with the Sixers big 3 all healthy. If you’re looking for value, Seth Curry is still playing starters minutes and he doesn’t break the bank. Lastly, Shake Milton is a GTD and if he misses again that’ll open up more minutes for Curry and Furkan Korkmaz on a small slate.

For the Suns, Devin Booker has the best matchup of any of the Suns here, as Chris Paul will likely be very restricted by Simmons’ height advantage, and Embiid is one of the better post defenders, so that makes me shy away from DeAndre AytonMikal Bridges is in play here as well, and if Crowder and Saric both miss once again tonight that’ll put Frank Kaminsky in play as well. This should be a competitive game so there are a few options I do like for this one.

5-star play: Joel Embiid

4-star play: Devin Booker, Tobias Harris, Ben Simmons, Mikal Bridges

Deeper Value: Frank Kaminsky, Furkan Korkmaz, Seth Curry

GPP Sleeper: Seth Curry, Frank Kaminsky

Indiana Pacers @ Atlanta Hawks

Vegas Total: 224.5

Vegas Spread: Ind -1.5

For the Pacers, this is a nice matchup here after having a solid game last night. Domantas Sabonis draws a great matchup here as he should be able to get whatever he wants against Collins and Gallo, neither of them can contain him. Myles Turner should also be able to take advantage of his matchup against Capela, as that should be a battle down low, and Malcolm Brogdon has a great matchup against Trae Young as well. Jeremy Lamb is also back up to his normal minutes, so he’s firmly in play here but he takes away mostly from Brogdon here. Doug McDermott has also been playing really well off the bench, and if you’re looking to get really different, T.J. McConnell has been playing really well with the 2nd team. If you’re looking to get really deep then Justin Holiday is in play as well if he continues to start.

For the Hawks, Trae Young is the premier play, but the matchup isn’t great for him going against Brogdon who has been solid this year. Cam Reddish and Kevin Huerter are both in play as well given that Hunter is out for the next two-ish months. John Collins has been solid, but as long as Capela and Gallo are both in his upside is limited. Speaking of which, Danilo Gallinari should see more minutes off the bench here after crushing lineups the other night, he has some nice upside here against the Pacers 2nd team defense. Clint Capela doesn’t have the best matchup here against Turner, but he’s in play here as well given that this should be a battle down low and those are the games that he really thrives in.

5-star play: Domantas Sabonis

4-star play: Trae Young, Clint Capela, Myles Turner, Malcolm Brogdon

Deeper Value: Cam Reddish, Kevin Huerter, Danilo Gallinari

GPP Sleeper: Danilo Gallinari

Houston Rockets @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 213

Vegas Spread: EVN

For the Rockets, it looks like they will be a bit limited here, but they should be able to hang with this Knicks team. We’ve been disappointed by DeMarcus Cousins over the past week, but with Oladipo out we know he’s going to be firmly in play here once again. John Wall also is in play here, as he is probable and Oladipo has already been ruled out. He has a great matchup going up against Elf and he should be able to get whatever he wants here Eric Gordon is in play as well, especially with Oladipo out here tonight. Danuel House would be a decent value as well if he draws the start once again but the Rockets have a solid matchup here tonight against the Knicks who make every game seemingly competitive.

For the Knicks, Julius Randle is likely a core for me tonight, as the Rockets can’t defend big men and Mitchell Robinson also broke his hand last night, so that just means that Randle will see even more usage and minutes. Nerlens Noel will likely slide into the starting role and play 30ish minutes here and he is my favorite value play on the day as long as he starts. Obi Toppin should also see some more minutes here as well and he’s dirt cheap as well. Elfrid Payton and RJ Barrett should also see some more usage here with Robinson out of the starting 5, overall this is a great team to attack for value tonight on a small slate.

5-star play: Julius Randle, DeMarcus Cousins, John Wall

4-star play: RJ Barrett, Nerlens Noel, Eric Gordon, Elfrid Payton

Deeper Value: Nerlens Noel, Obi Toppin, Danuel House

GPP Sleeper: Nerlens Noel

Brooklyn Nets @ Golden State Warriors

Vegas Total: 246

Vegas Spread: Bkn -4

This is the game we’re going to want to target tonight as the total sits at 246 which is by far the highest on the slate. Kevin Durant looks like he’ll be back so that takes the shine off of Kyrie Irving and James Harden as the big 3 are hard to predict when all of them are healthy. Of the 3 I’m likely taking Durant as he has some of a revenge factor here against the Warriors. For other options, Joe Harris is also in play as well, and with DeAndre Jordan out that’ll open up some more minutes for Jeff Green at the 5. He’s a great value here as he should play a ton of minutes.

Its the usual cast for the Warriors here tonight, Steph Curry is going to lead the offense here and has the highest upside of anyone on this slate as he gets a matchup against Kyrie, who is basically a swinging door on defense, he’ll be a core play from me tonight. Kelly Oubre is starting to heat up over the past 2 weeks but consistency is the main issue there, so he’s a great GPP play especially with his price driven up due to that one massive game, but the matchup doesn’t get much better against the Nets as they suck on defense. Andrew Wiggins is also in play here but I don’t love his price tag on FanDuel. James Wiseman has been out, but if he is back he would be a solid value play here. Lastly, Draymond Green does it all here, as he can rack up rebounds and assists here and his price is pretty cheap with some upside as he showed he can go for 40+ without even scoring an actual point, especially if Looney is out. If he happens to be out as well for any reason, that’ll open up a lot of things for Eric Paschall as he’ll be a really solid value play as he’ll be one of their only bigs. Love attacking the Warriors here tonight.

5-star play: Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant

4-star play: Kelly Oubre, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green

Deeper Value: Eric Paschall, James Wiseman

GPP Sleeper: Eric Paschall, Kelly Oubre

Miami Heat @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: 215.5

Vegas Spread: TBD

For the Heat, Goran Dragic has already been ruled out today, so that’ll open up a few things for both Tyler Herro, and Jimmy Butler. Both are really solid plays here as this should be a competitive game, but the Jazz are one of the better defensive teams in the NBA. Bam Adebayo also draws a favorable matchup here against the likes of Gobert, but I think his upside is a bit capped with both those guys in today, but I still think he can get you 40-45 FPs, Gobert has been giving up a lot of FPs to opposing bigs this year. Kelly Olynyk and Duncan Robinson both makes for interesting GPP values on a slate like this, especially if Olynyk continues to start. Kendrick Nunn is also viable today with Dragic out, but I’d rather play Herro as long as he continues to come off the bench.

For the Jazz, the big news will be if Mike Conley plays, as he is a GTD right now. I’m assuming for this article that he is out, and that’ll make Donovan Mitchell a great play as he’ll have the ball in his hands a lot if that is the case. Jordan Clarkson would also be a prime value as well, as would Joe Ingles who has been playing great the past 2 games. Rudy Gobert also has a solid matchup here, as he’ll need to do more to contain Bam, I like him more on FanDuel. Bogdan Bogdanovic is also in play, but I don’t love his price on FanDuel. If you’re looking for deep value, on a 4 game slate Royce O’Neale is in play if Conley is out. Obviously if Conley is in, it takes the shine off of all of those guys, especially Ingles.

5-star play: Jimmy Butler, Donovan Mitchell

4-star play: Joe Ingles, Jordan Clarkson, Bam Adebayo

Deeper Value: Royce O’Neale, Joe Ingles, Tyler Herro, Kendrick Nunn

GPP Sleeper: Kendrick Nunn, Joe Ingles

NBA Lock of the Day:

Nerlens Noel (FD: $4,000 DK: $3,900)

The Knicks are on the 2nd half of a B2B, and Mitchell Robinson broke his hand last night so that’ll open up a ton of minutes at the 4 and 5 for Noel who should take the majority of those minutes along with Obi Toppin. Obviously you want the guy who starts here but I think Noel is the guy you’re going to want here. Add in the matchup in a fast paced environment and you have a value lock for me here tonight.
