Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Michael aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

I want to give a quick shoutout to VIP Member “Irzarl29” on a $40k win recently, congrats!!

Indiana Pacers @ Boston Celtics

Vegas Total: 219

Vegas Spread: Bos -3.0

We’ll kick this Monday slate off with the Boston Celtics, these two teams have played a couple of times already this season so we have something to work off of. Jayson Tatum is averaging 50.8 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Pacers this season. I never love targeting the Pacers on defense, but I don’t have an issue with it here. Jaylen Brown came down to Earth last game with a 30 point fantasy outing, the price on him is getting a bit too high for my liking in a lower total game. Kemba Walker should be back for this game as he continues to rest on the back end of back-to-backs, I think the price tag is viable here making him a secondary option in my book. The rest of this team is GPP flyers at best with guys like Daniel Theis and Tristan Thompson owning the frontcourt duties. From the Pacers,  Domanatas Sabonis dropped a 50 burger last time out and now has at least 50 DraftKings points in three straight games. The Celtics can be beaten in the frontcourt, but I just have a hard time paying this price for Sabonis. Malcolm Brogdon has at least 52 DraftKings points in two of his last three games as well and makes for a solid secondary option. Myles Turner was solid last time out and has at least 30 DraftKings points in three of his last four games, no issue with taking a shot on him in tournaments here. Then we round this team out with secondary GPP options in guys like TJ McConnell, Jeremy Lamb, and Justin Holiday.

5-star play: Jayson Tatum

4-star play: Kemba Walker, Domantas Sabonis, Malcolm Brogdon, Myles Turner

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown, Daniel Theis, Tristan Thompson, TJ McConnell, Jeremy Lamb, Justin Holiday

Houston Rockets @ Toronto Raptors

Vegas Total: 220.5

Vegas Spread: Tor -7.5

Starting with the Rockets, DeMarcus Cousins was officially released on Tuesday, so he is no longer in the picture. Expect guys like Jae’sean Tate, PJ Tucker, and Justin Patton to run the big man minutes going forward. Patton saw his minutes come down last game to 12, he’s probably not a guy we should expect to see 30 minutes out of but is in play as a deep GPP dart throw. I’m not going to play PJ Tucker, I called this out in our VIP Coaching forum on Monday when Tucker was chalky, the guy is averaging like 0.5 fantasy points per minute this season, so he’s giving you zero ceiling, pivot to someone else in his price range. Both Victor Oladipo and Eric Gordon should both be active for this one, Oladipo played 32 minutes in his first game back on his way to 36 DraftKings points and makes for a solid GPP option. Gordon probably isn’t a guy I’ll get a ton of, I generally want one of Wall or Oladipo to be out for me to feel confident in playing him. He’s fine for tournaments, however. Then guys like Danuel House and Jae’sean Tate are GPP guys as they piece together this frontcourt. From the Raptors, Kyle Lowry returned last game to play 35 minutes which was good to see, his price tag is fair enough as well, I like him a good amount here. Norman Powell still saw 33 minutes even with Lowry back which was interesting, but I don’t want to pay this price tag for him now that this team is pretty close to fully healthy. Fred VanVleet has at least 10 DraftKings points in three straight games, however, I think he’s priced pretty much where he should be in relation to his median upper-end outcome, so not a guy I want a ton of but I’m okay getting some shares of him. Pascal Siakam came spiraling down last game going for just 12.5 DraftKings points, but this is a great bounce-back spot against a team that doesn’t really have any sort of true center option. The same can be said for Chris Boucher, I think the Raptors decide they can go small here and match the Rockets pretty well between OG and Boucher at the four while Siakam runs the five. I don’t see a reason that Aron Baynes needs to play at all in this one, he will, but I love the upside on Boucher. Lastly, OG Anunoby is a fine GPP option, but not a guy I’m prioritizing by any means.

5-star play: Kyle Lowry

4-star play: Victor Oladipo, John Wall, Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam, Chris Boucher

Deeper Value: Justin Patton

GPP Sleeper: Danuel House, Jae’sean Tate, Norman Powell, Eric Gordon, OG Anunoby

Phoenix Suns @ Chicago Bulls

Vegas Total: 228.5

Vegas Spread: Pho -5.5

Starting with the Suns, Devin Booker was fine last game and gave us a game we’ve kind of come to expect with Paul in the picture. I do like this matchup for this team, but when the Suns are at full health I have a tough time getting to anyone a whole lot. Chris Paul bounced back nicely last game against the Hornets going for 50 DraftKings points and the two games prior were both blowouts, this guy is crushing when he’s getting fourth-quarter run. DeAndre Ayton has been pretty unimpressive this season but he should do what he wants in this matchup and has at least 33 DraftKings points in three of his last four games. Lastly, these wings like Mikal Bridges and Jae Crowder are fine filler pieces to round out the back-end of your roster but not anyone you should make as a priority. From the Bulls, Zach LaVine has been held under 40 DraftKings points in two straight and gets another tough matchup here, I don’t see myself making him much of a priority. The same can be said for Coby White who has looked pretty good over his last three games and is a guy I think you can get to in GPPs, he’s too volatile to trust in cash games though. Thad Young continues to put up really nice numbers in limited minutes, I have trouble playing him because he’s only getting around 20 minutes per night, but he’s certainly producing. Wendell Carter Jr. has back-to-back 40 point fantasy games, Ayton has a long way to go on defense, so Carter Jr. might be my favorite option on the Bulls tonight. Lastly, Patrick Williams is soaking up a bunch of minutes on the wing and is a guy you can get to in GPPs if you’re looking for a cheaper option from this team.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Devin Booker, Chris Paul, DeAndre Ayton, Coby White, Wendell Carter Jr.

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Mikal Bridges, Jae Crowder, Zach LaVine, Coby White, Patrick Williams, Thad Young

Sacramento Kings @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total: 224

Vegas Spread: Sac -1.0

Starting with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox dropped a 50 burger on the Knicks last night and is a guy I like again tonight at a nice price tag under $8k on DraftKings. Tyrese Haliburton continues to put up nice numbers but the price has come up, for good reason though, I don’t have any issue with him in this matchup either. Marvin Baley and Richaun Holmes have been pretty good as of late and should both see a slight minutes boost with Hassan Whiteside off the court. Buddy Hield is never a guy I can get right, he’s just so scoring dependent that I have a hard time playing him in cash games, but his price has come down to a more playable level. Lastly, Harrison Barnes looked great last night and is a guy I like for cash games in particular, but someone you can get in all formats. From the Pistons, Dennis Smith Jr. should continue to start here and saw 26 minutes last game and now has at least 25 DraftKings points in two straight. I like him a lot for tournaments in the best matchup you could ask for. Saben Lee had his minutes go down to 22 last game, it’s truly a hot-hand situation in this Detroit backcourt, both guys are solid options due to their price tags. Jerami Grant missed last game but should be back here and is priced nicely, he should be able to get you there in this matchup fairly easily. Mason Plumlee damn near dropped a 50 burger on the Pels last time out and the Kings may just be the worst team in the league against opposing big men from a DFS perspective. Love me some Plum Dog here. Then you can round this team out with guys like Saddiq Bey and Josh Jackson as GPP options.

5-star play: De’Aaron Fox, Mason Plumlee

4-star play: Tyrese Haliburton, Marvin Bagley, Richaun Holmes, Dennis Smith Jr., Saben Lee, Jerami Grant

Deeper Value: Saben Lee

GPP Sleeper: Buddy Hield, Saddiz Bey, Josh Jackson

Los Angeles Clippers @ Memphis Grizzlies

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

We saw these two teams play last night, so we have something to work off of here. The Clippers have said they don’t plan on resting anyone here, so they should be a full go, we’ll start with them. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both struggled in a blowout loss last night, but I would expect a bounce-back here. The Grizzlies give up the most fantasy points to opposing small forwards on the season. Outside of those two I have a hard time loving anyone from this team, you can make a case for guys like Serge Ibaka, Nic Batum, and Marcus Morris in tournaments, but nothing I’m looking to prioritize. From the Grizzlies, Ja Morant was fine last night, it’s a tough matchup for him but the price tag is nice. I’ll consider him a tournament option for now. Jonas Valanciunas put up 40 DraftKings points in just 25 minutes, you can beat the Clippers with a good big man so I like his upside here. Kyle Anderson looked good last night in 24 minutes, he and Brandon Clarke are fine options. Then we round things out with Dillon Brooks, who had 26.5 DraftKings points last night and the more I write about this game the more I want to be done writing about this game… I don’t see myself liking a whole lot of anything here.

5-star play: Kawhi Leonard

4-star play: Paul George, Ja Morant, Jonas Valanciunas

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Serge Ibaka, Marcus Morris, Brandon Clarke, Kyle Anderson, Dillon Brooks

Utah Jazz @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

Starting with the Jazz, they’re similar to the Suns in that I really don’t have much interest in this team when they’re at full strength especially in a pretty average matchup like this one against the Heat. They always seem to be priced as they should, so guys like Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, and Mike Conley make for fine secondary options while the ancillary guys like Jordan Clarkson, Joe Ingels, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Royce O’Neale are mostly secondary tournament options. From the Heat, both Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro are listed as questionable here, so keep an eye on that Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding them. I’ll operate under the assumption that they’re both in here for now. Tyler Herro played just 14 minutes last game and seems to be bothered by that hip injury he has, so even if he plays I don’t see myself with much interest. Jimmy Butler went for 62 DraftKings points last time out and has commanded more usage since returning from the Covid list. I don’t love the matchup, but I get it for GPPs. Bam Adebayo has been really consistent as of late and has at least 43 DraftKings points in six straight games, but it’s a tough matchup against Rudy Gobert and company. Kendrick Nunn has at least 45 DraftKings points in two of his last three games and is playing massive minutes, he’s a guy I like if Herro and Dragic continue to be out here. Then guys like Kelly Olynyk and Duncan Robinson are always in play for tournaments for me due to their ability to get a bucket.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley, Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Jordan Clarkson, Joe Ingels, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Royce O’Neale, Kelly Olynyk, Duncan Robinson, Kendrick Nunn

Atlanta Hawks @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Vegas Total: 223

Vegas Spread: Atl -4.5

Starting with the Hawks, John Collins seemed to have cleared concussion protocol pretty seamlessly and should be back to his usual run here. It’s a great matchup and someone I always like for GPPs due to the ceiling he has. Trae Young has at least 50 DraftKings points in five straight games and should be able to continue that here in a great matchup against the Thunder. Clint Capela is a fine option, I don’t love the price tag but I also don’t hate it, more of a secondary option. Kevin Huerter wasn’t able to carry over that 30 point fantasy game against the Celtics where he struggled, I don’t mind getting to him in tournaments hoping he can get things going. Then guys like Cam Reddish and Danilo Gallinari are solid GPP options, but I’m not playing Tony Snell, I do need to eat some crow as he’s dropped back-to-back 20 point fantasy nights, but I just can’t do it. From the Thunder,  Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dropped a huge game on the Spurs last time out and in a matchup with a smaller guard in Trae Young, I’ll go right back to the well even at an elevated price tag. Al Horford being out helps this as well, as he can take over as a facilitator at points. Isaiah Roby should draw the start for Horford here, he only saw 17 minutes last game due to foul trouble, but you can go right back to him in this one. Then Darius Bazley and Lu Dort round this team out as tournament options.

5-star play: Trae Young, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

4-star play: John Collins, Clint Capela, Isaiah Roby

Deeper Value: Tony Snell

GPP Sleeper: Danilo Gallinari, Cam Reddish, Lu Dort, Darius Bazley

Charlotte Hornets @ Golden State Warriors

Vegas Total: 232

Vegas Spread: Gsw -6.5

Starting with the Hornets, LaMelo Ball is pretty much matchup-proof at this point, but this is a great matchup against a fast-paced Warriors team, he should excel in this one. Devonte’ Graham is listed as doubtful here so we can go right back to the well on Terry Rozier who is crushing right now, he’s come down to Earth a bit over his past two games and the price has come up, however. I don’t mind getting to Gordon Hayward here either he’s been pretty consistent this season and with Graham out it will help that cause. Lastly, PJ Washington and Cody Zeller are fine GPP options, the James Wiseman-led frontcourt doesn’t exactly scare me. From the Warriors, Steph Curry missed this game last weekend when these two teams played but is a nice play tonight. He’s under $10k on DraftKings and has at least 50 DraftKings points in four of his last five games, love Curry tonight. Draymond Green has at least 45 DraftKings points in two straight games. The Hornets are another team that struggles with opposing big men so he’s in play here. Both Kelly Oubre and Andrew Wiggins are solid GPP options in a great matchup, I would slightly prefer Oubre if I had to choose. Lastly, James Wiseman has seen his minutes trend in the right direction playing 18 last game. He should get to around 20 in this one, but I don’t think he’s playable in DFS on a 9-game slate.

5-star play: LaMelo Ball, Steph Curry

4-star play: Terry Rozier, Gordon Hayward, Draymond Green, Kelly Oubre

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Terry Rozier, PJ Washington, Cody Zeller, Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman

Portland Trailblazers @ Los Angeles Lakers

Vegas Total: 222.5

Vegas Spread: Lal -5.0

Starting with the Lakers, LeBron James has seen his price come up near $11k on DraftKings which is more than warranted due to the production he’s had as of late. With Anthony Davis off the court, all the usage is his in this offense. He scored 55 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season and is a guy I like here. Kyle Kuzma has at least 30 DraftKings points in 8 of his last 10 games and makes sense again here, it’s a nice bounce back spot after a tough matchup against the Jazz. Montrezl Harrell would be your GPP pivot from him for about $300 cheaper. He’s been pretty solid with Davis off the court, volatile though. From the Blazers, Damian Lillard has at least 50 DraftKings points in five of his last six games and is going to carry the usage in this offense. I like the price on him and is a guy I’ll get to here. Enes Kanter draws a tough matchup but was still able to score 33 DraftKings points in this spot last time out. The rest of the Blazers are just GPP guys due to the volatility they come with. These guys are Robert Covington, Gary Trent Jr., and Derrick Jones Jr.

5-star play: LeBron James, Damian Lillard

4-star play: Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, Enes Kanter

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Robert Covington, Gary Trent Jr., Derrick Jones Jr.
