Homestead-Miami Speedway

The Cup Series heads to Homestead-Miami Speedway for the first intermediate track race of the year. Homestead is a wide 1.5-mile track with multiple grooves and extreme tire wear. Long-run speed is vital. We see very long green flag runs here which is a product of the multiple grooves. The races here are usually fairly straightforward due to their lack of accidents. The biggest mix ups in running order will happen on pit road.

DFS Outlook

Dominators

On DraftKings I will look to play 2-3 dominators in every lineup. Last year here we saw Blaney, Hamlin, and Chase Elliott all score incredibly well and finish 1st-3rd. Having the top 2-3 drivers speedwise who will rack up fast laps and laps led finish top 3 isn’t abnormal here. Because we super long green flag runs, there isn’t much in terms of craziness that shakes up the running order. Passing is also much easier here than every other 1.5 mile track due to the multiple grooves. This allows the best cars to stay up front or race their way back there if they do happen to have an issue. On FanDuel I will be more focused on playing 1 dominator and focusing on the place diff plays after that. There is some viability in a 2 dominator lineup if both drivers lead over 90 or so laps.

Lineup Construction

On both sites the key will come down to finding leverage on the field. Most people will be on the likes of Hamlin, Elliott, Blaney, and Larson as top dominators and they will also be on the top place differential plays like Reddick and Briscoe as well. Look for anything that might separate yourself from the pack. This feels like it might be a bit chalky of a race and as a result you can get some really solid leverage. You will want to stay away from the back of the field teams for this race as they will hold very little value.

You may have seen me state that the DFS Army are the absolute best when it comes to NASCAR DFS. Well we once again proved it last week. We delivered Two $50k+ winners. There were numerous big winners in all 3 races last week and we plan on continuing the domination this week as well. Top Plays

Kyle Larson: We all know by now that Larson is amazing here. He has been the best at riding the high line and maximizing long run speed as a result. He is now in the best car he has ever had and I believe that will make all the difference. Starting 17th he will offer good place diff potential plus I expect a large amount of fast laps as well. He might not win but I do expect him to be a top contender for the optimal lineup.

Chase Briscoe: Chase is a fantastic value play with tons of place diff upside. He is one of those drivers who can drive any lane on the track and has fantastic long run speed. He won here last year in the Xfinity Series and also won the truck race here in 2017. I expect a top 10 finish from him.
