Clipping Coupons for NFL Week 7
Another week is in the books and now we start this puzzle all over again for week 7. This is the best time of the year for me and there is a ton of money to be won in Daily Fantasy Football every single week. Somebody can win a million dollars each week on DraftKings and FanDuel and there are tons of other contests that can fit your personal DFS goals. However, if a player is a good play on one site, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are a good play on the other site. Salaries are everything in DFS and in this article I am going to point out the best deals on each week on each site and help you clip some coupons if you are looking to bargain shop around the DFS industry. Here are some of the best deals this week at each offensive position:
Quarterbacks
Russell Wilson on FanDuel $8,700. Wilson is having an MVP year and he still isn’t priced as the top QB on FanDuel. He is in the #1 spot this week over on DraftKings, but FD has him priced below Mahomes and Allen. Wilson has averaged more than both those guys this season, and he has a slightly higher team total this week as well. He is also in a paced-up game against the Cardinals and he has two of the best WRs in the league that he can throw to. Wilson has 3 games with over 30 FD points this season and this is a game I want to stack up. I think he should be the top-priced QB this week, so I am looking to clip that FanDuel coupon this week.
Joe Burrow on DraftKings $5,500. Burrow has had over 20 DK points in half of his games so far and he finally got some effort out of AJ Green last week. He has a lot of weapons in this offense and the defense is not good so it could lead to a lot of shootouts this season. This is also a sneaky stack game this week with a total of 50-points and a lot of options for stacking. I prefer taking Burrow if I am stacking this game and if I am doing that, I will be clipping the coupon and taking him on DraftKings where he is the 5th cheapest QB on the slate. It isn’t much of a coupon this week with him being priced as the 7th cheapest on FD, but I am more likely to pay up at QB on that site.
Running Backs
Jerick McKinnon on FanDuel $5,500. Raheem Mostert is doubtful this week which puts McKinnon back in play as the top RB on the team. Jeff Wilson Jr. is questionable as well, so if he sits then McKinnon becomes an even better play. He is priced as the 25th highest RB on the main slate this week over on FanDuel and if he is getting a lead role that is too hard to pass on. He also helps us pay up at QB if that is what we are looking to do. DraftKings only has 12 other guys priced above him this week so he is a much better play on FD with that discount and he is a guy I am looking to click this week. He scored double-digit FD points the first 4 weeks of the season and in two of those games, he saw less than 20 snaps. Now he should be back to around 2/3 of the snaps and he gets a lot of work in the passing game as well.
Ezekiel Elliott on DraftKings $7,800. Everybody saw Zeke fumble two times in a primetime game and with no Dak, this entire Cowboys team probably goes overlooked now. Especially Zeke being priced as the highest RB on FanDuel and a full $1k above Aaron Jones. He is hard to get to at that price in an offense led by Andy Dalton. However, I am willing to click on him over on DraftKings where they have him priced as the 3rd highest RB on the slate and only $600 more than Jones. He did still score 14 DK points last week and that was his worst game of the season. He saw 11 targets from Dalton and caught 8 of them. I think he is a decent pay up to be contrarian play this week and I wouldn’t expect to see him fumble 2 times in a game again this season.
Wide Receivers
CeeDee Lamb $6,300 on FanDuel. Lamb has been solid this year but with Dalton under center, people are much less likely to click on his name. He did see 10 targets from Dalton though and we are getting a nice discount on him on FanDuel this week, so I am not willing to count him out personally. DraftKings has Lamb priced as the 12 highest WR on the slate. That is too high for me to get to and I would rather have a few other guys for cheaper this week. FanDuel has him priced down as the 23rd highest though and those guys I wanted for cheaper on DK are more expensive on FD. That is where I am willing to click on Lambs name this week. There is still a ton of talent on this Cowboys team and Zeke losing 2 fumbles last week really killed the team. I expect a much better game from them this week, but Lamb is a guy that I will only be using on FanDuel this week because of the nice discount we are getting. You can see in our new Research Lab over at DFS ARMY that Lamb is the clear number 2 WR on this team and he has played more snaps than Gallup in every week and had more targets in every game but 1.
Tyreek Hill on DraftKings $6,400. I just said how Lamb had guys priced below him on DraftKings that I was more interested and one of them is Tyreek Hill. I have no idea why Hill is only $6.4k this week and he is a guy who can break a slate in the first half of a game. If Hill put up 50 in any game, I wouldn’t be surprised. His speed is unmatched and Mahomes has the arm and accuracy to hit him with multiple long bombs. FanDuel has Hill priced where he should be as the 6th highest WR on the slate. DK decided to price him as the 13th highest WR and at $6.4k it makes him the cheapest he has been since 2017. This might end up being a core play for me this week just because of this nice coupon. Last week was his first bad week of the season and it was the only week he didn’t score a TD. I hope that takes away from his ownership, but it won’t keep me away.
Tight Ends
TJ Hockenson on FanDuel $5,900. DraftKings has Hockenson priced as the 3rd highest TE on the main slate this week and this is a great game to target with a 55.5-point total. I like Hockenson on both sites this week and I think this is one of the best games to stack. FanDuel has Hockenson priced down as the 7th highest TE on the slate and that is going to make him one of my favorite stacking options on that site. In 5 games so far this season, Hockenson has been targeted 9 times in the Red Zone and 3 of those were caught for TDs. The Falcons have not been good against TE’s this season and people will be down on Stafford after being burned by him last week. This is going to be one of my favorite games of the week and I plan on clipping the coupon on FanDuel and getting a lot of Hockenson this week.
Jared Cook on DraftKings $4,300. Cook is priced as the 4th highest TE on FanDuel this week and that is going to price him out of my lineups over there. I am willing to click on him over on DraftKings though and they have him priced as the 9th highest TE. Michael Thomas should be back this week which will take attention away from Cook and this is a team we should be looking at with their 29.25-point team total, at home in the dome. Cook caught a TD last week and he has 1 Red Zone target in every game he has played this season. I think he is a sneaky TE option this week, but I am only willing to click on his name over on DraftKings where we are getting a solid discount.
