Clipping Coupons for NFL Week 4

Another week is in the books and now we start this puzzle all over again for week 4. This is the best time of the year for me and there is a ton of money to be won in Daily Fantasy Football every single week. Somebody can win a million dollars each week on DraftKings and FanDuel and there are tons of other contests that can fit your personal DFS goals. However, if a player is a good play on one site, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are a good play on the other site. Salaries are everything in DFS and in this article I am going to point out the best deals on each week on each site and help you clip some coupons if you are looking to bargain shop around the DFS industry. Here are some of the best deals this week at each offensive position:

Dec 29, 2019; Los Angeles, California, USA; Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff (16) reacts at the line of scrimmage Arizona Cardinals during the first quarter in the final Rams home game at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum before moving to SoFi Stadium for the 2020 season. Quarterbacks

Jared Goff on FanDuel $7,500. Goff is the 7th highest priced QB this week on DraftKings. On FanDuel, he has 10 people priced the same or above him. That makes it easier for me to decide which site I want to get my Goff exposure on. He is coming off back to back big games with 24 and 28 FD points and those games were both on the road where he typically has under performed in the past. Now he is at home against the Giants who just allowed the backup SF QB to put up 343 yards and 36 real life points for the team that is completely banged up. I do want to get some Goff investment this week and this is an offense that should have a big season. However, I might just clip the coupon and use him on FanDuel only this week. We have Goff projected as the 3rd highest value play at QB on our Domination Station Optimizer over at DFS ARMY, so I like clicking on him and making a rule to stack him with at least 1 of his weapons when building my MME lineups on there.

Drew Brees on DraftKings $5,800. This one seems like a mistake. Especially if Michael Thomas is back this week. Brees is usually priced about $1k more than this and he is coming off a 20+ point game and averaging 300 passing yards the last two weeks, without Thomas. If Thomas is back, I might end up making Brees one of my higher owned QBs this week on DraftKings where they have 17 other guys priced the same or above him, compared to FanDuel where he is the 9th highest priced guy on the main slate. If I am making a rule with Brees in the Domination Station I am making it stack with at least 1 of Kamara or Thomas in every lineup and I like them all 3 together as well if I can afford it.

Running Backs

Kareem Hunt on FanDuel $5,900. DraftKings has Hunt priced like he is a starter this week as the 13th highest RB on the slate. FanDuel has Hunt priced as the 20th RB and since he is the backup, I don’t think anybody will be rostering him. He is getting a lot of work in this offense though and if Chubb ever goes down early in a game then Hunt would probably end up being one of the best plays on the slate. Through the first 3 weeks, Hunt has 39 rush attempts for 204 yards and 1 TD. He also has 11 receiving targets on the year and two of those he has caught for TDs. I think we can play Hunt even with Chubb as the #1 but if I am going to use him it will be on FanDuel.

Chris Carson on DraftKings $6,300. Carson might not even play this week so we will need to keep an eye on that. However, if he does play, then DraftKings is the site to use him on. FanDuel has him priced as the 7th highest RB and with the injury I wouldn’t want to pay that price even if he is good to go. On DraftKings, he is the 12 highest priced guy and only $100 more than Hunt. If he plays, I think the injury will scare people away from using him so he could be a good GPP option in this explosive offense that should be playing with the lead against the Dolphins. They do use him in the passing game as well which is what we love on DraftKings. He has 12 receptions and 3 TDs through 3 games, and he could always eat at the goal line as well. Keep an eye on the injury news though and if he is out then Carlos Hyde and/or Travis Homer can come into play.

Wide Receivers

DK Metcalf on FanDuel $6,900. FanDuel always has a lot of coupons to clip at WR. Marquise Brown, Michael Gallup, and Tyler Boyd were three others that are priced right next to each other on DraftKings but a good bit lower on FanDuel, so those are three other coupons you can clip on FD with big upside. I wanted to talk about Metcalf, mostly so I could say to use DK on FD. JK, mostly because I am completely sold on this kid and I think he is going to have a monster year and career. I think towards the end of the season we will see DK priced in the high $7k salary range and we might not get him for under $7k again. If he didn’t drop the long TD last week, he would have scored over 20 points, but he has had 17-points in all 3 weeks so far and that is only with 4 catches in each game. I think he will have that big 10 game catch soon and maybe it’s this week against the Dolphins. DK has DK priced as the 5th highest WR on the slate and I think that makes sense. FD has 13 other WRs priced the same or above DK though so that is a coupon I will be clipping, and he might be a core play for me this week on FD. DFS ARMY has DK Metcalf as the 3rd highest Fpts/$ play this week and two of those other guys I mentioned are right behind him.

Mike Williams on DraftKings $4,200. Since FD usually prices their WRs lower than DK does, it is hard to find the WR coupons over on DK. I did notice one that I have interest in though and that is Mike Williams. This is a tough matchup against the Bucs. FanDuel has Williams priced as the 31st highest WR on the slate this week but we are getting a big discount on him over on DraftKings as the 61st highest priced WR. We need to make sure he plays but he is always a big play ability guy when he is out there, and he can pay off that salary with just 1 catch. I will have zero exposure to Williams on FD this week, but I can see me clipping that coupon over on DK if he suits up.

Tight Ends

Tyler Higbee on FanDuel $6,000. Higbee is the 3rd highest priced TE this week over on DraftKings but he is the 6th highest priced on FanDuel. We are also getting the Goff discount on FanDuel as well so this is a coupon stack, we can click this week, and one I don’t think will get much ownership. He hasn’t been a huge part of this offense yet, but he did have 3 TDs in week 2 for more than 25 FD points, so the upside is there, and I think the targets could increase as well. I don’t think Higbee is a guy I will click on if I don’t have Goff, but I do think this is a decent stack this week and you can add in Woods or Kupp along with a run it back player or two and hope for a shootout.

Darren Waller on DraftKings $5,200. Waller is tied for 6th in the league for highest target share for receivers and he is the only TE listed in the top 10. He is coming off a bad week so I am hoping people will be off him this week because of it. I want to pay up for TE where I can, and Waller is a guy with 30-point upside so I do like rostering him when I can. This isn’t much of a coupon since he is a top TE, but FD does have Waller listed as the 3rd highest TE on the slate compared to 5th on DK.
