Xfinity Series
Road America
Road America marks the second Xfinity road course race of the year. At 4.048 miles long it is by far the longest race track the series races on. Due to its length, the number of laps per stage and for the entire race is incredibly small. Fuel mileage has always been crucially important here and this becomes even more important if and when there are late race cautions leading to G-W-C (Green-White-Checkerd or Overtime period) finish. With only 45 laps and roughly 30 Dominator points available, this race will all about nailing the top place differential plays and the highest finishing drivers. We will, of course, focus on the top tier drivers like Cindric and Allmendinger who should be the top threats for the win.

Race Procedure
Pit selection:
- Pit selection order for the race is based on finishing position from the July 25th race at Kansas, followed by new entries in order of points.
Starting lineup:
- Starting Positions 1-12: Random draw from charter teams in those positions in owner points
- Positions 13-24: Random draw from charter teams in those positions in owner points
- Positions 25-36: Random draw from charter teams in those positions in owner points
- Lastly, Positions 37-40: Open teams in order of owners points
Favorite Xfinity Series Play: AJ Allmendinger
This is a no brainer. You have to play heavy on AJ this week. He is guaranteed to start 25th or worse and will be a top threat for the win. He should rack up the place differential points. Road America is super technical which plays perfectly into his hands. I expect him to be the highest scorer on the slate.
Truck Series
Michigan Preview
The Truck Series will be running at Michigan this week. Michigan is a big, high banked 2-mile track. The Trucks run close to wide open around this track and the draft is massive for them. The lead changes hands here often with numerous drivers leading double-digit laps. We shouldn’t necessarily look for one main dominator but more of 4-5 guys leading 10-20 laps each. Because of this and the short lap total, you should focus more on place differential points and simply playing as many top finishers as possible. Because of the higher then normal DNF rate here, some of the cheap punt drivers are in play if their starting position and price makes sense.

Favorite Truck Series Play: John Hunter Nemechek
Nemechek will start at the back of the field and has top 5 upside. This is a no brainer for me this week. Give me all the JHN. The biggest issue is likely to be a high price and he does have a history of being a chalk bomb. If he stays clean all race then I believe he ends up on the optimal lineup.
