Seattle Storm @ Washington Mystics via the Wubble

The Storm have been coasting so far this short season. On paper, they should face a stiff test tonight against the defending champions. I have some very specific thoughts on this game which will be available in our coaching forums, so if you haven’t joined yet make sure to do so right away. As to the game, Breanna Stewart has been fantastic so far this season and remains a top target on the slate. Natasha Howard, Alysha Clark, and Sue Bird are all good options as well. Jordin Canada could be sneaky off the bench too.

The Mystics are undefeated this season as a result of solid all-around team. All their players are contributing in the absence of their main starters. The problem with this for DFS purposes is that it could make it hard to pinpoint who will perform well on a given day. However, players like Emma Meesseman and Leilani Mitchell stand out here. Meesseman, in particular, has been slowly ramping up her game this season. Myisha Hines-Allen has been the talk of the Mystics so far and will be in play here, although the return of Tianna Hawkins could negatively affect her.

5-Star Plays: Breanna Stewart

4-Star Plays: Emma Meesseman, Natasha Howard

Deep Value: Alysha Clark

GPP Sleeper: Leilani Mitchell

Shout out to RyanNutter (@MortgageGuyRyan) for this excellent takedown of the DK Slam Jam. As you can see from his quote below, the DFS Army notes were fire for him. What are you waiting for? Join NOW!

Chicago Sky @ Minnesota Lynx

The Sky are undefeated this season behind the strength of their frontcourt. They have been playing some very good basketball so far this young season. They get a true test tonight as their amazing frontcourt faces the tough frontcourt defense of the Lynx. Azura Stevens has been playing extremely well and gets the easier matchup tonight making her a solid option. Gabby Williams has been phenomenal off the bench and is in play here. Also, it is hard to root against Kahleah Copper who has been sensational this season. Finally, don’t sleep on Courtney Vandersloot who has been consistent so far and is always ready to explode.

The Lynx suffered a crushing defeat to the Storm last time out, after picking up a nice win in their opening game. The good news for the Lynx is they were in the Storm game until midway through the third quarter. The bad news, they lost Lexie Brown to a concussion and are now even more shorthanded. Sylvia Fowles, Damiris Dantas, and Napheesa Collier will be called upon to do a lot of heavy lifting in this game. I especially love Collier in this matchup as she is not afraid to take shots. We will have to wait and see what the Lynx guard situation ends up being, but Shenise Johnson and Rachel Banham are in line for heavy minutes.

5-Star Plays: Napheesa Collier, Sylvia Fowles, Azura Stevens

4-Star Plays: Gabby Williams, Kahleah Copper, Courtney Vandersloot, Damiris Dantas

Deep Value: Rachel Banham

GPP Sleeper: Allie Quigley

Staying on top of starters are key to success in the WNBA just as is the case in the NBA. Having access to starting lineups and late breaking injury news is a must, making it important to be available before lock in other to factor in any late changes. The DFS Army provides rapid breaking news information on lineup changes and injury as they come up in the coaching forums. Don’t fail to take full advantage of this!

Connecticut Sun @ Los Angeles Sparks

The Sun haven’t won a game yet this season, having played two good teams in the Lynx and the Mystics. They get another tough matchup here against the Sparks. The main problem with the Sun has been the lack of production outside DeWanna Bonner and Alyssa Thomas. These two have been carrying the team but can hardly win the game alone, they need some of their teammates to step up. In this matchup, it’s hard to see anyone else stepping up except for Brionna Jones. These are the three main targets on this team tonight.

The Sparks will look to bounce back tonight in a good matchup for them. Last time the played I was high on Candace Parker over Nneka Ogwumike. Today I’m going to flip the script again. I love Nneka Ogwumike in this matchup. Brionna Jones doesn’t have what it takes to stop her from getting hers. Parker is also a good play here. Chelsea Gray has not done much yet this season, but she is always an option to go off. Riquna Williams and Brittney Sykes make for fine options to round out this Sparks team tonight.

5-Star Plays: Nneka Ogwumike, DeWanna Bonner

4-Star Plays: Candace Parker, Alyssa Thomas, Brionna Jones, Chelsea Gray

GPP Sleeper: Riquna Williams
