PITCHERS

This slate is a bit better in terms of pitching, as we get some nice options here tonight as opposed to last night which was just an overall dumpster fire.

Erik Jokisch ( $9,500/$21)

Jokisch gets a prime time matchup here against a Hanwha team that really struggles at the plate. They have a team ISO of .103 and a team wOBA of .315, along with a team OPS of .688 which means when they are putting the ball in play, they aren’t doing much damage. Jokisch has been outstanding so far this year, check out his stats: 0.90 ERA/0.87 WHIP/ 8.1K/9/ and an average of 23.2 DK FPPG. The matchup doesn’t get much better for Jokisch than it does tonight, I’m going to be locking him in on FanDuel at that price. Jokisch is in play for ALL formats tonight and a borderline lock on FanDuel.

Aaron Brooks ($8,000/$27)

Brooks has been really good so far this year, over his first 5 starts he has a 3.23 ERA/1.24 WHIP/7.7K/9/ and averages 15.9 DK FPPG. He gets to face off early tomorrow morning against a Lotte team that has really been struggling offensively over the past 2 weeks. Currently they have a .111 team ISO, .307 wOBA, and .676 OPS. All of these numbers tell us they aren’t doing much damage, and to boot they’re also striking out at the highest rate in the league to RHPs which is at a 20% clip. Brooks should do just fine here tonight and makes for a great pairing with Jokisch on DK that doesn’t break the bank. Brooks is in play for ALL formats tonight, although I like his price better on DK.

Raul Alcantara ($7,500/$25)

Alcantara comes into this start posting 3 consecutive quality starts, along with 4 straight wins as well. On the year he has a 3.90 ERA/1.47 WHIP/ 6.9K/9/ and averages 15.1 DK FPPG. The KT team hasn’t been hitting with a ton of power as they have an overall team ISO of .107. Alcantara also comes at a nice discount on DK from the other top end guys and has just as much upside. Doosan also comes into this game as a -208 favorite which is 3rd highest behind Kiwoom and NC. Alcantara is in play for GPPs tonight as he does carry some risk as his weakness is giving up the long ball.

Drew Rucinski ($9,700/$27)

NC comes in as heavy favorites tonight, as of writing this they are currently sitting at -245. Rucinski averages 8.3K/9 and he had success in his first start against SK earlier this year. However, I’m not as high on him tonight as many others will be, as this SK team has been swinging hot bats since Choi came back from the injured list. I’ll be underweight on the field on him tonight due to both the matchup and price. Rucinski is in play more for cash games as he is priced up on both sites but has a really good chance at a win. I much prefer Jokisch on FanDuel though.

Hitting STACKS

Here are several of my favorite hitting teams for tomorrow. For the purposes of this article, our hitter focus will revolve around teams to stack. You can also see a detailed look at individual hitters by gandering over to at our KBO Cheat sheets! The cheat sheets have core plays highlighted in blue as well as other cash and tournament options.

Tonight’s Cheatsheets are coming alive!  You have time to jump in, save hours of tedious research, and apply our help for the overnight slate.  You unlock core plays to build around, key pieces to stacks, great 4 and 5 star one-offs, and detailed coaching notes providing the why behind the play.

DOOSAN (vs Min Kim) – Doosan ranks out as the top stack of the night again today, as they have an IRT of just under 7 and they get to face a pitcher who they demolished earlier in the year to the tune of 7 ERs and 2 home runs in just 4 innings. Kim is in trouble again tonight but Doosan will likely be chalky, so you may want to try a wraparound stack approach with some of their players that are lower in the order and mix in the chalk.

KIW (vs Min-Woo Kim) – Kiwoom also grades out very well here in very own CeeGee’s Today’s Stacks tab in our ever evolving Research Station. They have an IRT of just under 6 which comes in only behind Doosan on the night. They also have some of the best power hitters in the KBO (cough…Byung-Ho Park…cough) and they’ve been collectively on fire as a team over the past week.

NCD (vs Tae-Hoon Kim) – Going back to the well again here tonight, as this NC team is well overdue for an explosion as they’ve been too quiet over the past week. I’ll be stacking their right-handed bats tonight against this soft-tossing LHP.

KTW (vs Raul Alcantara) – This is going to be my hedge stack team of the night. KT has been swinging hot bats as a team (specifically Mel Rojas!) and as we saw with last night’s slate, it can’t hurt to throw in a few shares of a few extra teams, because when the chalk fails it can lead to huge nights. I’d use them more as a secondary stack than a primary one.
