PITCHERS

This slate is really ugly in terms of pitching. There are really only 2 options that I like, and that may even be a bit of a stretch. Tonight should be a slate to load up on bats.

Casey Kelly ($8,800/$25)

The price and matchup don’t get any better on this really ugly pitching slate than they do for Kelly. The once heralded MLB prospect has been pretty good so far in this KBO. Look at his line: 4.05ERA/1.40 WHIP/ 9K/9 and 14.6 DK PPG. That ERA is also a bit high as he’s only thrown 20 innings on the year, and he gave up 5 ER’s in his first start of the year. He also gets to face this Samsung team that has been very cold. LG is also a massive favorite tonight, as of writing this they are a -263 favorite which is by far the highest on the slate. I don’t see a way he doesn’t pitch well here tonight. He is an ALL format type of play here tonight.

Warwick Saupold ($9,500/$22)

Saupold has been very hot and cold in his second year in the KBO,  but he’s your second best option on tonight’s slate. Check out his line in 5 starts this season – 2.65 ERA/1.15 WHIP/4.5 K/9 and 15.8 DK PPG. Kiwoom has been swinging it well over the past few weeks, but I see Saupold getting back on track here tonight as they matchup better against LHPs. Earlier this year he went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs and K’ing 5 in a no-decision against this same Kiwoom team as well.  He makes for a really good GPP play here tonight, but there is definitely some risk here.

Sung-Young Choi ($6,500/$27)

He’s more in play on DraftKings tonight, as he is dirt cheap over there and makes sense as an SP2 on this slate. The Dinos are also a -200 favorite on the slate which is the second highest favorite on the night. He only went 3 1/3 in his first start, so I think we’ll see him get extended out a bit more here tonight, but I don’t see him going more than 6 innings and that’s only if he’s cruising. In a slate with pitching as bad as it is tonight, he’s one of the safer options for SP2 on DK. SP2 range on DK, likely fading on FanDuel at that price point.

Geon-Wook Lee ( $6,300/$25)

Another GPP play here, as NC has a very powerful lineup, however, they’ve been scuffling a bit over the past week as they will live and die via the long ball this year. Lee has been solid in a limited sample size this year, with a 1.04ERA/0.69 WHIP/8.79K/9/ and 11.3 DK FPPG. He got extended a bit in his last start, going 5 1/3 and I think they’ll extend him out even a bit more tonight if he’s pitching well. If you’re looking to go cheap at pitching on DK given the sub-par options on this slate and load up on bats, pairing him with Choi gets you a lot of bats. GPP only play as NC has a solid offense with big time power, so there is definitely risk here.

Those are all of the guys that I am comfortable endorsing tonight, as it is a pretty sub-par pitching slate.

Hitting STACKS

Here are several of my favorite hitting teams for tomorrow. For the purposes of this article, our hitter focus will revolve around teams to stack. You can also see a detailed look at individual hitters by gandering over to at our KBO Cheat sheets! The cheat sheets have core plays highlighted in blue as well as other cash and tournament options.

Tonight’s Cheatsheets are coming alive!  You have time to jump in, save hours of tedious research, and apply our help for the overnight slate.  You unlock core plays to build around, key pieces to stacks, great 4 and 5 star one-offs, and detailed coaching notes providing the why behind the play.

DOOSAN (vs Hyeong-Jun So) – Doosan is one of, if not the premier offenses in the KBO, sporting a 0.369 team wOBA and .146 team ISO which is one of the highest in the KBO as well. They can put up runs in a hurry and they’re hot right now putting up an 11 spot last night.

KTW (vs Yong-Chan Lee) – Lee has a 8.72 ERA over 21.2 IPs and has already faced this KT Wiz team and allowed 6 runs and a HR to KTW already this year. Rojas has also been swinging a hot bat and carrying this offense.

NCD (vs Geon-Wook Lee) – Going back to the well here tonight as NC disappointed everyone in a smash spot last night. Lee has been solid so far in a limited sample size, but the power this NC team has is too hard to ignore.

LG (vs Yoon-Dong Heo) – This LG team is scary, and Roberto Ramos is a one-man wrecking crew. Even given the L/L matchup it doesn’t scare me here as Heo isn’t an overpowering lefty, and he also isn’t projected to go deep into this game, which would allow Ramos and Co. to feast off of their bullpen.
