KBO Top Plays – June 25th

🙌 This KBO Slate locks at 2:00 am EST as we had multiple rain outs last night and a bunch of teams will be playing double headers tonight. This will make you test how bad you want to win, as the fish won’t wake up/stay up and edit lineups like the rest of us. Reserve your entries, read this article, check out some of our other tools below and win da monies 💰 It’s as simple as that 😊

PITCHERS

A lot of these names will be familiar from yesterday, as we only had 1 game actually play in the KBO last night. It looks like the Samsung/Hanwha game is not included in the DraftKings slate, so we have a bit of a loss as we won’t get to use Buchanan in a great spot on DraftKings, but FanDuel has included that game in their slate.

Dan Straily ($9,500/$23) – As I said yesterday, Straily has gone from being a human pitching machine in the MLB, to an absolute stud in the KBO as his ability to pitch to contact actually works really well for him overseas. Over his last 5 starts, he’s thrown 33 2/3 innings allowing only 4 ERs which is an ERA of 1.07, he has a WHIP of 0.87, 37K’s which averages out to 9.9 K’s/9. He has to face off against this Kia team that has lost 4 of their last 6 and they are scuffling at the plate outside of Tucker and Ryeong-Ho. He shouldn’t have any difficulty here tonight in that department. Vegas hasn’t released any odds for this game yet, but I’d estimate they’ll be in the -180 to -200 range like it was last night. Straily is an ALL format type play here tonight, as he’s been on fire lately with that 1.07 ERA over his last 5 starts.

Mike Wright ($9,000/$31) – NC has gone up as a favorite from last night, as they are currently sitting a -204 to win, and Wright has already shut down this KT squad once already this year. He has some decent K upside in this spot, and if he can get by Rojas and Kang he should cruise in this spot here tonight. I like Straily as your #1 option here tonight, but Wright isn’t too far behind. I expect them to be heavily owned in cash on both DraftKings and FanDuel, especially with all the rainouts tonight and people on DK not being able to roster Buchanan. Wright is an ALL format type play here tonight, as he has some solid K upside but he’s been pretty consistently safe outside of his last start.

David Buchanan ($28) – Buchanan is going to be a FanDuel only play here tonight, as DraftKings has elected to leave the Samsung/Hanwha game off of their main slate. However, he is still available on FanDuel and is in a great spot! Buchanan has been basically lights out over his last 5 starts, going 4-0 and his stats include: 31 2/3 IPs/ 5 ERs allowed for a 1.42 ERA/ with 23K’s and a WHIP of 1.18, throw in the matchup against Hanwha who can’t hit anyone and are at the bottom of the KBO in basically every offensive category and you have a dream spot for Buchanan here tonight. Buchanan is an ALL format type play on FanDuel, just wish we could use him on DraftKings as well.

Tyler Wilson ($8,200/$25) – I’m not too high on Wilson here tonight, but he makes for a really interesting GPP play once again here tonight. However, it appears that Kiwoom is starting to get it together offensively over their past few games. The bright side with Wilson is that Kiwoom does most of their damage via the longball, and he’s allowed only 1 HR over his last 37 IPs. He doesn’t have as much K upside as the two guys listed above here, but he makes for a really strong GPP play if you are looking to save some salary on both sides and to get a little bit different. He’s had some success against Kiwoom as well, going 6 1/3 while K’ing 6 and allowing only 2 ERs in his first start against them. Wilson is a GPP only play here tonight, as Kiwoom has been hot, but if he can keep the ball in the park he should have success again here tonight.

Hui-Kwan Yu ($6,700/$22) – Here’s your cheap GPP special of the night again as this game got rained out as well. They were heavy favorites last night, and while the line hasn’t come out for this game yet either, I’d expect Doosan to be heavily favored here once again tonight. He has a 5-1 W-L record to go along with a 3.68 ERA and he should get plenty of run support again here tonight. He was also lights out in his first start against SK earlier this year, going 7 innings and K’ing 5 while allowing only 1 ER. He doesn’t have as much K upside as other guys on this slate, but he’s cheap, especially on DK. He makes for a really solid GPP option here tonight, especially on DraftKings where he is dirt cheap.

Hitting STACKS

Here are several of my favorite hitting teams for tomorrow. For the purposes of this article, our hitter focus will revolve around teams to stack. You can also see a detailed look at individual hitters by gandering over to at our KBO Cheat sheets! The cheat sheets have core plays highlighted in blue as well as other cash and tournament options.

Tonight’s Cheatsheets are coming alive!  You have time to jump in, save hours of tedious research, and apply our help for the overnight slate.  You unlock core plays to build around, key pieces to stacks, great 4 and 5 star one-offs, and detailed coaching notes providing the why behind the play.

NC (vs Je-Song Bae) – NC has the best offense in the league and they have guys from top to bottom that have massive power (see Aaron Altherr batting usually 7th or 8th). The matchup isn’t as juicy as it was last night, as KT will elect to use one of their better starters in Je-Song Bae tonight and skip over Kim as he was likely to get blasted again last night. Still, they’re going to be a top option on the slate once again here tonight.

DOO (vs Jong-Hoon Park) –  Doosan has scored 38 runs over their last 4 games and get to face off against Park who has been a bit up and down this year. Doosan has the 2nd best record in the league, behind only NC and the 2nd best offense to boot. Doosan actually gets a slightly better matchup than NC here tonight, as KT has upgraded their starter to one of their better guys and SK will stick with Park it looks like. I’ll have more Doosan than NC here tonight for that reason.

KIW (vs. Tyler Wilson) – This is my hedge stack of the night here, as I recommended Wilson earlier in this article, but this Kiwoom team has been getting it together offensively, and Byung-Ho Park is long overdue for some positive regression as he his hitting around the Mendoza line. I mentioned them in this spot last night as well, but that game ended up getting rained out. I believe most people will flock to NC and Doosan here again and they should go overlooked again here tonight.

LG (vs. Seung-Ho Lee) – LG gets a solid spot here, as while I do like Samsung they’re not going to be on DK’s main slate, only FanDuels. Roberto Ramos is long overdue for a HR here as he has been passed by Mel Rojas for the lead league in HRs. LG won’t kill you with power outside of Ramos but they can string a lot of hits together, make the starter throw a lot of pitches, and get into bullpens early which makes for a solid under-owned stack here tonight.
