PITCHERS

We actually have a pretty decent pitching slate here tonight, as we have a few big names pitching tonight in some really solid matchups….now let’s dig in!

Chris Flexen ($8,500/$27) – Flexen has the best price point and matchup on the slate by the numbers and he should be popular but for good reason. Doosan is a heavy favorite here tonight at -212 and SK has really been struggling offensively. They’re on a 6 game losing streak in which they’ve been struggling offensively and they currently rank 9th out of 10 teams in the KBO, behind only Hanwha which is basically a KBO minor-league team at this point. Flexen is safe here with some solid upside, but he’ll be popular. Flexen is an ALL format type play here tonight as he is a bit underpriced but he’ll be popular.

Aaron Brooks ($8,400/$25) – Brooks is one of my favorite pitchers in the KBO, as his pitching style really works well in this league. Lotte has started to cool off a bit after going crazy over the past few weeks, but they are still statistically one of the worst offenses in the KBO and don’t have a ton of power. Brooks does a good job of keeping the ball in the park and he has some solid K upside as well. He’s probably my 2nd favorite option here behind Flexen. Brooks is an ALL format type play here tonight especially as an SP2 on DraftKings and even warrants strong consideration on FanDuel as well.

Won-Tae Choi ($8,900/$24) – Choi has been pretty up and down so far this year, but he had one of his best starts of the year against this LG team earlier this year. They don’t have a ton of power outside of Ramos and Choi’s achilles heel so far this year has been giving up the long ball as he’s already given up 6 on the year. He doesn’t have a ton of K potential though so his upside is a bit limited. If he avoids giving up a bomb to Ramos he should cruise here. Choi is a GPP only play here tonight, but I don’t love his price on DraftKings, but he is a solid value on FanDuel.

Drew Rucinski ($9,200/$28) – Rucinski actually got lit up by the KT team in his last start, giving up 5 ERs over 5 1/3 innings. However, NC is a -147 favorite as of typing this, and Rucinski really has been pitching really well so far this year. He also has the highest K upside of anyone on the slate, as he averages just under 9K/9IP. I like him to bounce back in this spot here tonight as long as he can get around Rojas and Kang. Rucinski is a CASH type play here tonight, as he is relatively safe and has a medium-high ceiling as well.

Hitting STACKS

Here are several of my favorite hitting teams for tomorrow. For the purposes of this article, our hitter focus will revolve around teams to stack. You can also see a detailed look at individual hitters by gandering over to at our KBO Cheat sheets! The cheat sheets have core plays highlighted in blue as well as other cash and tournament options.

Tonight’s Cheatsheets are coming alive!  You have time to jump in, save hours of tedious research, and apply our help for the overnight slate.  You unlock core plays to build around, key pieces to stacks, great 4 and 5 star one-offs, and detailed coaching notes providing the why behind the play.

NC (vs Odrisamer Despaigne) – Despaigne has been Jekyll and Hyde this year, as he either shuts a team down or gets lit up, there’s really no in between. NC has been the best overall offense so far this year in the KBO. I’ll have plenty of shares of them here tonight, but just keep in mind that Despaigne does have the ability to shut them down here as well.

DOO (vs Tae-Hoon Kim) –  Doosan and NC are going to be the top options again here tonight, as it doesn’t change much because they’re the best two offenses in the KBO. Kim has been solid but he hasn’t really faced a good offense yet so far this year. I’ll have plenty of shares of Doosan here once again tonight.

KIW (vs. Yun-Sik Kim) – Kiwoom is starting to get it going again, as they’ve scored 16 runs over their last two games and it appears that Byung-Ho Park is starting to come around. They’re a scary offense when they’re firing on all cylinders and Kim has an ERA hovering around 7.50 on the year. I’ll take Kiwoom all day in this spot here.

SAMSUNG (vs. Chad Bell) – Bell has been getting lit up all over the KBO so far this year, as he has an ERA hovering right around 8.50 and aside from his first start he’s given up a minimum of at least 4 ERs per start and he’s also already allowed 4 HRs in just 21 1/3 IP. Samsung got it going the other night and look for them to keep that momentum going in this matchup.
