PITCHERS

We have another horrible pitching slate tonight, as no one on this list is “safe” but we have a few guys that are better than others. Well lets dig into it!

Eric Jokisch ($9,100/$28) – Jokisch is going to be your leader of the pack again here tonight on what is a pretty bad pitching slate once again. However, he showed some cracks in his armor in his last start as he got the loss while only giving up 2 ERs on what was a rare HR allowed. The matchup is really good for him here tonight, as SK ranks 9th out of 10 teams in the KBO and Kiwoom is the 2nd highest favorite according to Vegas at -196. He’ll be chalky but for good reason as his price is actually a bit low on DraftKings. Jokisch is an ALL type format play here tonight. He’ll be chalky as the SP1 on DraftKings but I think if you go over the field on ownership on him in GPPs there is still some upside there, he’s my favorite SP on FanDuel as well.

Hyun-Jong Yang ($9,700/$28) – Don’t really understand his price on DraftKings, but he’s going to be one of the better options on what is another pretty lackluster pitching slate here tonight. Yang has been solid so far this year, keeping that ERA under 4, and he’s had success already this year against Samsung, going 6 innings, allowing 2 ERs and K’ing 3. He’s priced up a bit due to the fact that he K’ed 10 in his last start, but his career numbers still tell us he’ll strike out less than a guy per inning, so I wouldn’t be banking on that happening again tonight, however, it does help with his ceiling on a night like tonight with sub-par pitching. Yang is going to be an ALL format type play here tonight, as he is relatively safe given Kia’s recent success and Kia is a heavy favorite here tonight at -192.

Raul Alcantara ($8,300/$28) – Alcantara has a nice 6-1 record, however that is a bit misleading as he does have an ERA in the mid 4’s as he relies heavily on that run support the Doosan bats often provide for him. The good thing about this matchup is that the only real power threat that LG has is Robert Ramos, whereas the rest of this team will base hit you to death and with a WHIP sitting around 1.38 Alcantara’s weakness has really been the long ball. I think if he can keep the ball in the park and pitch around Ramos, he should do just fine here tonight, however, I don’t think he goes unscathed. Alcantara is a GPP format type play for me here tonight, as the blowup potential is real but he has a really good chance at getting a W which is a major boost on both sites.

Min-Ho Lee ($7,200/$27) – Lee is my GPP special of the night, as he gets to face off against one of the best offenses in the league in Doosan, but he’s been pitching very well so far this year. Over his last two starts he has gone 7 innings in each, averaging 9Ks/9IP and only 3 ERs over 14 innings with a WHIP of under 1.00. I think he’s way too underpriced on DraftKings, and makes a lot of sense as your SP2 over there in order to fit in more bats. Lee is going to be a GPP only type play for me tonight, as he’s been pitching really well but Doosan is still one of the better offenses in the league, so the blow-up potential is there tonight, but I love him in GPPs.

Hitting STACKS

Here are several of my favorite hitting teams for tomorrow. For the purposes of this article, our hitter focus will revolve around teams to stack. You can also see a detailed look at individual hitters by gandering over to at our KBO Cheat sheets! The cheat sheets have core plays highlighted in blue as well as other cash and tournament options.

Tonight’s Cheatsheets are coming alive!  You have time to jump in, save hours of tedious research, and apply our help for the overnight slate.  You unlock core plays to build around, key pieces to stacks, great 4 and 5 star one-offs, and detailed coaching notes providing the why behind the play.

NC (vs Min-Woo Kim) – Hanwha’s pitching staff and bullpen are just flat out bad aside from Saupold. They’ve replaced a ton of their major leaguers with minor leaguers as well, and I don’t see a way that NC doesn’t bounce back here tonight after losing last night, especially against a guy with an ERA of over 5.

LG (vs Raul Alcantara) –  Hedge stack here as I also recommended Alcantara above, don’t get me wrong, Alcantara has been solid, but this LG team is just too hot right now despite their lackluster performance last night. They’ve got Ramos back and healthy and this offense can put up a ton of runs in a hurry. Alcantara is 6-1 on the year but that W-L record is a bit mis-leading as he usually gets a ton of run support as his ERA is in the mid 4’s. I like LG here tonight quite a bit and they may go a bit overlooked because people will see Alcantara’s record.

KIW (vs. Ricardo Pinto) – Maybe Kiwoom’s back on track after last night? All I know is that when they are clicking they are one of the best offenses in the KBO and that was on full display last night. They’ve got big time power from top to bottom including the reigning KBO home run king in Byung-Ho Park who homered last night. Hopefully last night was just the start of a hot streak for this deadly offense.

KIA (vs. Jung-Hyun Baek) – Kia has quietly been producing a lot of runs over the past two weeks, and Tucker and Ryeong-Ho are the anchors of this offense. It also helps that Tucker has killed this Samsung team this year as well, hitting .647 against them with 3 home runs already this year. I like them as my favorite secondary stack here tonight.
