PITCHERS

Tonight we get a decent, but not great pitching slate, as we get to go back to Koo and Gagnon tonight whom are both in better spots than they were last night!

Chang-Mo Koo ($9,400/$26) – Happy Chang-Mo Koo day again! We got a rainout last night so he’ll be on the bump here for us tonight. This guy is an absolute stud and he’ll be chalk around the industry, but for good reason. I’ll re-iterate why I liked him last night, and once again here tonight: He gets an even better matchup than he did last night against this Hanwha team that has been absolutely terrible so far this season. Koo is 5-0 with a 0.75 ERA/ 9.8K/9IP/ 0.69 WHIP/ and he’s only allowed 2 ER’s over his last 19 IPs which actually made his ERA go up, which is mind-boggling. The guy is absolutely the best pitcher in the KBO and I’ll be going heavy on him here, even more-so than the field. There are options to differentiate yourself here, but on both sites I think you eat the chalk as he’s still under priced on DraftKings. Koo is an ALL format type play, and borderline lock in play on FanDuel where you only get 1 SP and his price dropped $4 compared to last night. Love him here tonight and he’ll be chalky but for good reason, I’ll be getting a ton of ownership on him, even going above the field for exposure.

Drew Gagnon ($7,800/$26) – Kia and NC got rained out last night, so we can go back to two guys that I liked last night in Gagnon and Koo. Gagnon has the highest K upside of anyone on the slate as he averages 10K/9IP, and he draws a more favorable matchup tonight against this Samsung team that K’s at just over 21% on the year. He becomes a better play than he was last night due to the matchup, and I actually like both pitchers in this game as I’ll have exposure to both here. Gagnon is going to be an ALL format type play here tonight, as the matchup is more favorable for him and he has the highest ceiling of any SP on the slate with his ability to strike people out.

David Buchanan ($7,600/$27) – Buchanan has been ON FIRE lately, let’s just jump into his stats over his last 4 games: 4-0, a 1.01 ERA, to go along with a WHIP of under 1.00 and 16 K’s over 26 2/3 innings. This Kia team has been hitting better as of late, but they’re still not an offensive-minded team and he should do just fine here as long as he gets by Ho-Ryeong and Preston Tucker. Buchanan is going to be a GPP play here, as most people will flock to Koo and Gagnon in cash, and he should go under-owned. He has a ton of upside here but he’s a bit riskier than both of the guys mentioned above.

Je-Seong Bae ($6,600/$27) – This guy is going to be my favorite SP2 for GPPs on DraftKings, as he is simply way too underpriced in this spot. This slate isn’t great for pitching outside of Koo and Gagnon. Bae has been a bit up and down this year, as he is either really good or really bad, and there is no in between. He makes a lot of sense as an SP2 in GPPs as he can help you afford some better bats. Bae is going to be a GPP only play, as the blowup potential is very real here, but he makes for a great salary saving option on tonight’s slate that really lacks decent pitching outside of the top 2 guys.

Hitting STACKS

Here are several of my favorite hitting teams for tomorrow. For the purposes of this article, our hitter focus will revolve around teams to stack. You can also see a detailed look at individual hitters by gandering over to at our KBO Cheat sheets! The cheat sheets have core plays highlighted in blue as well as other cash and tournament options.

Tonight’s Cheatsheets are coming alive!  You have time to jump in, save hours of tedious research, and apply our help for the overnight slate.  You unlock core plays to build around, key pieces to stacks, great 4 and 5 star one-offs, and detailed coaching notes providing the why behind the play.

DOOSAN (vs Woo-Chan Cha) – Doosan is in another solid spot here tonight, and they’re starting to heat back up as well. They’ve won us a ton of money this year and when they have another great matchup like this I’m going to always have shares of them. Fernandez, Choi, and Kim are a wrecking crew in the middle of that order.

NC (vs Bum-Soo Kim) – NC gets a nice bounce-back spot here, as they’ve cooled off a bit over the last week, but it was unrealistic of us to expect them to keep putting up 10+ runs games consistently like they had been a few weeks ago. This Hanwha team is in shambles and they have Koo on the mount so I expect NC to cruise in this game and beat the brakes off of Hanwha.

LG (vs Young-Ha Lee) – LG got a major boost last night getting Ramos back. He’s the most feared hitter in the KBO and despite missing a few games he’s still leading the KBO in home runs. He also has a league high .395 ISO and the rest of this LG team has been on fire as well as they were still putting up runs even without him the last few games. I’m going to be heavier on them here as I think most people will flock to NC and Doosan again.

KIWOOM (vs Seung-Won Moon) – This Kiwoom team is due to break out in a big way, as they have one of the best overall offenses in the league, but they just can’t seem to put it together over the last few weeks. Their order has big time power from top to bottom and Byung-Ho Park is going to get going at some point, and when he does, this offense is going to be really scary.
