Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides, that said, we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Michael aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Before I get started, make sure to check out the latest new DFS website. SuperDraft is an innovative new DFS site that does not have salaries but instead uses a multiplier system and better yet, THEY HAVE LATE SWAP! Check out more on how it works below!

Full Court Press:

Chicago Bulls @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total: 220.5

Vegas Spread: Bkn -6.0

Starting with the Bulls, Zach LaVine is considered questionable here so keep an eye on his status. If he’s able to go, make sure he’s not on any kind of minutes restriction before you launch him into your lineups. If he’s out again, we can go right back to Coby White who has a great matchup and has scored at least 34.5 DraftKings points in seven straight games. Tomas Satoransky makes sense for cash games but he really doesn’t have the upside for tournaments. Thad Young is in that boat as well with Wendell Carter and Lauri Markkanen both being back. Markkanen and Carter aren’t playable for me until they get back up to their full minutes, however. Lastly, if LaVine sits it would open up minutes for guys like Denzel Valentine and Shaq Harrison as value options. From the Nets, Caris LeVert went bananas again last time out against the Spurs, he will continue to have a massive upside with Kyrie out. His floor is a little lower than I’d like but he’s getting huge usage in this offense and is an elite GPP option at the very least. Spencer Dinwiddie has taken the backseat between the two guards and feels like one of them will have a big night on most nights, but not both of them, so do not pair the two! That about wraps up my interest from this team unless you want to take a GPP dart on Joe Harris or Taurean Prince.

5-star play: Zach LaVine (if active), Coby White (if LaVine is out), Caris LeVert

4-star play: Spencer Dinwiddie, Tomas Satoransky

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Joe Harris, Taurean Prince

New Orleans Pelicans @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Vegas Total: 247

Vegas Spread: Nop -7.0

This is the game on the early slate that you’re going to want to target, as it has a massive 247 implied total which might be the highest we have seen this season. Starting with the Pelicans, Jrue Holiday is playing huge minutes right now and I would expect that to continue, his price has come down as well putting him firmly in play in a great matchup. Zion Williamson scored 49 DraftKings in this matchup last time these two played, there won’t be anyone on the Wolves side that can stop him, he’s an elite play and feels too cheap. Brandon Ingram has gone back to playing nearly 40 minutes per game, I don’t love the price on him but anyone playing that kind of minutes that has the talent that he has is worth a GPP look at the very least. Lonzo Ball is really the only other guy I have an interest in here. He has at least 50 DraftKings points in three of his last four games but has seen his price come up, and most of those 50 point outings are due to shooting 80% from three. I don’t expect that to continue, it’s hard to say, but I’ll likely take my chances and fade him at this price. From the Wolves, D’Angelo Russell isn’t in the best form, but with Towns still out he has a 28% usage rate and 1.32 fantasy points per minute, you can make a case for him in GPPs especially in such a fast-paced game environment. Malik Beasley continues to play great basketball, I would expect this to continue making him a great cash option in his price range, I love him here for all formats, he feels too cheap. Juancho Hernangomez is also in good form and has at least 32 DraftKings points in three of his last five games, he’s worth a look here as well. Naz Reid has back-to-back 40 points fantasy nights and is worth a look here, they’ll need his size for Zion.

5-star play: Jrue Holiday, Zion Williamson, Malik Beasley

4-star play: Brandon Ingram, D’Angelo Russell, Naz Reid, Juancho Hernangomez

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Lonzo Ball

Los Angeles Lakers @ Los Angeles Clippers

Vegas Total: 225.5

Vegas Spread: Lac -2.5

Starting with the Lakers, it’s really just LeBron James and Anthony Davis here for me, both guys are elite plays but I would tend to lean Davis here as he’s cheaper with similar upside. That said, LeBron went banana’s last game against the Bucks on only 1-7 shooting from three. Davis was in foul trouble in most of that game, however, and we have seen the Clippers struggle all season with big men. From the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard is averaging 55.3 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Lakers this season, he’s an elite play on the early slate. Paul George has seen his minutes come back up to the 30’s range, he makes sense as a secondary option here as well. Montrezl Harrell is doing a lot with little minutes right now, he’s more of a secondary GPP option. Lastly, Lou Williams is more of a GPP option as well, but certainly playable on a short slate.

5-star play: LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard

4-star play: Montrezl Harrell

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, Danny Green

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Boston Celtics

Vegas Total: 217.5

Vegas Spread: Bos -4.0

This game kicks off the early slate, it’s not the best game on the slate but here we go. Starting with the Thunder, Chris Paul is a fine option here, I don’t love the price or matchup, I just think there are better options out there. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a bit all over the place right now, that said he should be able to rack up the ancillary stats in this one that helps him push the scales. This is a phenomenal matchup for Steven Adams, although the minutes are very funky as of late, I would guess due to blowout but still something to monitor. Lastly, Dennis Schroeder and Danilo Gallinari make sense as GPP options as well. From the Celtics, Jaylen Brown is out for this game while Gordon Hayward is questionable. Here is how the rest of the team works out with those two off the court…

  • Jayson Tatum – 36.4% usage rate; 1.42 fpm
  • Kemba Walker – 30.1% usage rate; 1.29 fpm
  • Marcus Smart – 19.1% usage rate; 0.85 fpm

These are the three guys I would be biggest on from this team, particularly Tatum if we see that Kemba is still on a minutes limit (he played 23 and 27 the two games he’s been back).

5-star play: Jayson Tatum

4-star play: Chris Paul, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kemba Walker, Marcus Smart, Steven Adams

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Danilo Gallinari, Dennis Schroeder, Marcus Smart, Kemba Walker

Milwaukee Bucks @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total: 225.5

Vegas Spread: Mil -6.5

Starting with the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is doubtful here as he gets his knee checked out, not believed to be serious but no need for them to push him here. Here is how the rest of the team grades out with him off the court…

  • Khris Middleton – 33.6% usage rate; 1.44 fpm
  • Eric Bledsoe – 32.9% usage rate; 1.45 fpm
  • Brook Lopez – 22.1% usage rate; 1.06 fpm

Both Middleton and Bledsoe are two of the best plays on the slate. We haven’t seen Giannis out since Marvin Williams joined the team, so it will be interesting to see who gets the start as Ersan Ilyasova has essentially been phased out of the rotation. But, at min price, I’m willing to consider him a great value option here. From the Suns, Devin Booker is playing massive minutes as of late and makes for a great play as this game likely won’t blowout with Giannis not in there, but ya never know. DeAndre Ayton is out here meaning a combination of Aron Baynes and Dario Saric will pick up the slack. Aron Baynes had one of the more incredible games of the season as he went for 69 DraftKings points in a spot start at min salary. His price has come up but he played 36 minutes, so he should get around 30 again here. Ricky Rubio continues to play basketball and is priced fair, I like him as a secondary option.

5-star play: Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe, Marvin Williams, Devin Booker

4-star play: Ricky Rubio, Aron Baynes, Dario Saric

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Ricky Rubio, Brook Lopez

Orlando Magic @ Houston Rockets

Vegas Total: 233.5

Vegas Spread: Hou -9.0

Starting with the Magic, I don’t know how much I like Nikola Vucevic here. The Rockets have done great against opposing centers by going small. The one guy that has been able to succeed against them is Ivica Zubac of all people, but I think the Rockets were worried about other people in that game. I’ll call Vucevic a GPP play as he has three straight games of at least 50 fantasy points. Aaron Gordon seems to have come back down to Earth a bit over his fast couple games. That said, this is a perfect spot for him in a game that will be fast, he could play some center in their small-ball lineup. Terrence Ross is a professional bucket-getter, no he won’t shoot 80% from three again here but in a good matchup, I have no issue going here in GPPs. Markelle Fultz is priced right about where he should be, I don’t see myself getting a whole lot of him on a bigger slate. Lastly, Evan Fournier makes for a nice secondary option and is in better form as of late. From the Rockets, I need to do a little James Harden rant quickly. So he goes out and calls out Giannis for not having any kind of skill and is only good because he’s tall. Well guess what James Harden, you just turned the ball over 10 times in a game that you lost against the CHARLOTTE HORNETS, good work my man, good work, rant over. That said, he is one of the most ball-dominant guys in the NBA, he scored 84.3 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season. He’s an elite play in all formats. Russell Westbrook is benefitting massively from their small-ball lineups as it’s allowing him to do a lot of driving to the hoop pretty easily. He’s an elite play as well. Robert Covington is the final guy on this team that I have interest in, he has seen his rebound equity skyrocket on this team and is really playing well as a power forward.

5-star play: James Harden, Russell Westbrook

4-star play:  Aaron Gordon, Robert Covington

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Markelle Fultz, Evan Fournier, Nikola Vucevic

Miami Heat @ Washington Wizards

Vegas Total: 231.5

Vegas Spread: Mia -5.0

Starting with the Heat, Bam Adebayo is averaging less than 40 fantasy points per game in three games against the Wizards this season. That said, this is a great matchup for him, I like the price tag and the upside. Jimmy Butler finally showed a bit of a ceiling last game going for 50 fantasy points. The Wizards won’t be able to stop him making him a nice GPP play and secondary cash option. Guys like Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn, and Duncan Robinson are secondary GPP plays with Crowder out for this game which should free up some minutes. From the Wizards, Bradley Beal has a huge price tag right now, but it doesn’t come without warrant. He has at least 50 DraftKings points in seven of his last eight games and is averaging 50.9 DraftKings points against the Heat this season. He’s playing all the minutes he can handle right now and in this spot, he’s an elite option here. Davis Bertans has at least 31 fantasy points in three of his last four games and if he can get hot from behind the arch always has a chance to hit GPP value. Rui Hachimura is getting good minutes and performing better as of late, I like him as a secondary GPP option in a neutral matchup. With Ish Smith still out, Shabazz Napier should start at point guard and play some productive minutes against this Heat team.

5-star play: Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler, Bradley Beal

4-star play: Duncan Robinson, Rui Hachimura

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn, Duncan Robinson, Shabazz Napier

Indiana Pacers @ Dallas Mavericks

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Pacers, this team is a walking ICU right now so we will need to keep an eye on who plays and who doesn’t. Malcolm Brogdon is out while TJ Warren and Victor Oladipo are both questionable. If they sit again the Holiday’s will get the boost if one of them sits I would assume it’s Aaron Holiday that gets the start but something we will need to watch out for. Outside of the wings, Domantas Sabonis makes sense as a nice option he’s very consistent and scored 59 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season. Finally, Myles Turner makes sense as a GPP option. From the Mavericks, Luka Doncic draws a pretty tough matchup, the Pacers have played great defense on backcourts this season, but if Warren and Oladipo are out this matchup becomes much better. He makes for an elite play in all formats, as usual. Kristaps Porzingis’s knee is obviously feeling much better. He has at least 62 DraftKings points in three straight games and makes for an elite option here even with Doncic in. Seth Curry is out here meaning more minutes and usage for Delon Wright and Tim Hardaway.

5-star play: Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis, Domantas Sabonis

4-star play: Indiana TBD

Deeper Value: Indiana TBD

GPP Sleeper: Delon Wright

Detroit Pistons @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 210

Vegas Spread: Nyk -5

This is the worst game on the slate, plain and simple and I don’t see myself getting much if anything here from this game, but we’ll break it down! Starting with the Pistons, Christian Wood has scored at least 45 fantasy points in three of his last four games and makes for a fine play. Brandon Knight is really the only other guy on this team that I have interest in, he has 25+ DraftKings points in five straight games. From the Knicks, Julius Randle should be able to do what he wants here, people seem to thing Christian Wood is some god because he’s a good DFS producer, but he’s awful on defense. Elfrid Payton bounced back nicely after a dud against the Rockets, I like him here, as his price has come down and is capable of dropping a triple-double every time he takes the court. RJ Barrett has scored at least 27 DraftKings points in five straight games, there’s nothing I love about him here, but he’s playable for GPPs just don’t pair him with Payton. Lastly, Mitchell Robinson is a fine GPP option, just not someone I’ll get a ton of on a big slate.

5-star play: Julius Randle

4-star play: Elfrid Payton, Brandon Knight, Christian Wood

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Mitchell Robinson, RJ Barrett

San Antonio Spurs @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Vegas Total: 224.5

Vegas Spread: Sas -5.0

Starting with the Spurs, it sounds like LaMarcus Aldridge will miss this game again, here is how the rest of the team shakes out with him off the court this season…

  • DeMar DeRozan – 30.6% usage rate; 1.21 fpm
  • Rudy Gay – 23.2% usage rate; 1.06 fpm
  • Trey Lyles – 15.1% usage rate; 0.85 fpm

DeRozan would be favorite play on the team as the Cavs are pretty bad on defense and the offense will run through him. I also love targeting centers against the Cavs, so Trey Lyles makes a lot of sense as well as he’ll play all the minutes he can handle in this one. From the Cavaliers, Andre Drummond is questionable here, if he’s out again we can go right back to Tristan Thompson as he’ll see most of the center minutes. Thompson being back takes the shine off of Larry Nance for me as he won’t see as many center minutes. This is a good spot for Kevin Love although I doubt he plays on a back to back which would boost Nance right back into play for me. Lastly, Collin Sexton makes a lot of sense as the Spurs don’t play a whole lot of defense and is playing all the minutes he can handle right now.

5-star play: DeMar DeRozan, Larry Nance

4-star play: Trey Lyles, Collin Sexton, Matthew Dellevadova

Deeper Value: Matthew Dellevadova

GPP Sleeper: Rudy Gay

Toronto Raptors @ Sacramento Kings

Vegas Total: 228

Vegas Spread: Tor -5.5

Starting with the Raptors, Pascal Siakam scored 50.75 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season and makes for a nice play in his price range. Fred VanVleet is questionable for this game, if he misses Kyle Lowry and Norman Powell will see the boost, if he plays I would assume some sort of minutes limit. OG Anunoby is playing massive minutes right now and is a fine secondary GPP play. Lastly, Serge Ibaka is in the same boat and makes sense for GPPs especially if Marc Gasol sits again. From the Kings, De’Aaron Fox scored 43 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season, it’s a tough matchup but you can go there in GPPs. Richaun Holmes played 17 minutes last night, he may sit on the back end of a back-to-back, but I’m not playing him even if he plays he’ll be limited. Both Nemanja Bjelica and Harry Giles would see the boost if he sits and would make sense. Lastly, Bogdan Bogdanovic went banana’s last night, he’s a fine play here as well.

5-star play: Pascal Siakam

4-star play: De’Aaron Fox, Kyle Lowry, Norman Powell, Nemanja Bjelica

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Harry Giles, Serge Ibaka
