Full Court Press:

Indiana Pacers @ Milwaukee Bucks

Vegas Total: 222

Vegas Spread: Mil -11.0

Starting with the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is coming off a down game last time out but is averaging 59.5 DraftKings points per game in two matchups with the Pacers this season. The Pacers are a tough matchup on most everybody, but Giannis is matchup proof, he’s an elite play per usual. Khris Middleton has seen his price come down but was smothered by this Pacers team before the break, I likely won’t get a whole lot of him here. Eric Bledsoe is in pretty bad form and in a bad matchup, no thank you. Lastly, Brook Lopez is averaging 35.7 DraftKings points per game in three games against the Pacers this season, I like him as a GPP option at a very nice price point. From the Pacers, Domantas Sabonis draws a tough matchup here and will likely have to deal with Giannis on the offensive end, he’s averaging 41.5 DraftKings points per game in three games against the Bucks this season and makes for a secondary GPP option. Malcolm Brogdon has played well as of late and playing big minutes as well, he’s the type of guy that the Bucks will surrender big games to and I like him at this price tag. Both TJ Warren and Victor Oladipo are GPP options and Warren would draw some cash consideration from me if Oladipo were to sit again. Lastly, Myles Turner is always on my GPP radar due to his ability to rack up blocks, he’s also in great form as of late.

5-star play: Giannis Antetkounmpo

4-star play: Domantas Sabonis, Malcolm Brogdon, Myles Turner

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Eric Bledsoe, Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, TJ Warren, Victor Oladipo

Boston Celtics @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Cavaliers, Andre Drummond has been ruled out already for this one and Tristan Thompson is questionable. This is a situation we will have to monitor going into lock as the Celtics are not a good team against opposing bigs and would be a spot we want to attack. If Thompson is forced to miss again, Larry Nance would become a great play and would likely see all the minutes he can handle. Kevin Love would also slide over and play some center minutes as well. He scored 40.75 DraftKings points against the Jazz last time out. If Thomson is able to go and doesn’t have any kind of restriction I think you can go right back to him as well. Collin Sexton is coming off a 50 burger against the Jazz, I don’t love the spot or the price on him but he’s going to play big minutes with Garland still banged up. From the Celtics, it’s extremely hard to break this team down right now until we get more news. At the moment we know Kemba Walker will be out while Jayson Tatum is highly questionable. Both Jaylen Brown and Gordon Hayward were injured in last night’s game and this team is now a walking ER unit. For now, my best advice is to keep an eye on that Breaking News Tab as news comes out because this could get real sloppy as Marcus Smart, Daniel Theis, Brad Wanamaker and the rest of the reserves would have to pick up the slack.

5-star play: TBD

4-star play: TBD

Deeper Value: TBD

GPP Sleeper: TBD

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Thunder, Chris Paul isn’t in the best of form but scored 41 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season. I would expect the Thunder to take care of business in this game especially with Rose out for the Pistons now and Paul would be one of the first guys off the court in a blowout, so he’s more of a secondary play. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a bit all over the place right now, that said he should be able to rack up the ancillary stats in this one that helps him push the scales. This is a phenomenal matchup for Steven Adams, although the minutes are very funky as of late, I would guess due to blowout but still something to monitor. Lastly, Dennis Schroeder and Danilo Gallinari make sense as GPP options as well. From the Pistons, this team is a mess right now. Derrick Rose and Luke Kennard are for sure out, while Bruce Brown is doubtful and Brandon Knight is questionable. If Brandon Knight plays he would be one of my favorite options in this game, he would likely start and is soaking up a lot of usage even with Rose active over the last few games. He has at least 28 DraftKings points in three straight games. Christian Wood draws a tough matchup with Adams and never really a guy that I try to attack as he’s a great defender, Wood is more of a GPP option than anything. Keep an eye on the starting lineup for this team, there will likely be some value to be had here, but it depends on who misses. Lastly, I know we’ll get this question… no, Tony Snell is not in play, Tony Snell is never in play, the guy runs around for 30 minutes doing nothing (last game was an outlier).

5-star play: None

4-star play: Chris Paul, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Brandon Knight, Christian Wood

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Danilo Gallinari, Dennis Schroeder

Utah Jazz @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 220

Vegas Spread: Utah -7.5

Starting with the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell has been pretty good as of late, he shouldn’t have any issues doing what he wants here. I don’t necessarily love the price tag but he’s a fine GPP option. Rudy Gobert is coming off a 45 point fantasy outing last time out and scored 47 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season, so he’s tough not to at least look at here. Bojan Bogdanovic went nuts last game going for 48.75 DraftKings points, if you are in the business of riding hot streaks, I could get behind him. Mike Conley is starting to see his price come up and is probably right where he should be now, he’s still viable for cash games, with that being said. From the Knicks, Julius Randle gets a very tough matchup here, much like the rest of the team, he’s a deep GPP option only for me as Gobert is one of the best interior defenders in the league. Elfrid Payton played just 19 minutes against Houston last time out as Barrett was having a huge game. I’m willing to look past that game, but he’s still more volatile than I would like in a tough matchup. RJ Barrett is coming off a big 42 point fantasy outing last time out against the Rockets, this is nowhere near as good of a matchup for them, he’s a deep GPP option as well. Lastly, Mitchell Robinson is considered questionable for this game. If he’s available I would assume he gets good run as they’ll need his size for Gobert and would make a lot of sense for GPPs in hopes he can stay out of foul trouble.

5-star play: Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert

4-star play: Elfrid Payton, Mitchell Robinson, RJ Barrett, Mike Conley, Bojan Bogdanovic

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Elfrid Payton, Mitchell Robinson, RJ Barrett

Orlando Magic @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Magic, Nikola Vucevic is averaging 43.5 DraftKings points per game in three games against the Heat this season, I don’t love the spot but he’s got a big ceiling that I like chasing in GPPs. Aaron Gordon is ruled questionable and is something we will have to keep an eye on. He was playing massive minutes before missing last game so if he’s available he makes sense for GPPs. If he misses, I’ll go right back to the Terrence Ross well, he is playing great basketball and has at least 30 fantasy points in three straight games. Markelle Fultz is priced right about where he should be, I don’t see myself getting a whole lot of him on a bigger slate. Lastly, Evan Fournier makes for a nice secondary option and is in better form as of late. From the Heat, Bam Adebayo is averaging 43.3 DraftKings points per game in three games against the Magic this season, I don’t hate the spot for him here either, nice GPP option. Jimmy Butler has been held under 40 fantasy points in four straight games and just hasn’t shown a big enough ceiling as of late for me to love going here, he’s more of a secondary cash option. Guys like Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn, and Jae Crowder are secondary GPP plays with both Butler and Adebayo active.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Nikola Vucevic, Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler, Aaron Gordon

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Terrence Ross, Goran Dragic, Markelle Fultz, Kendrick Nunn, Jae Crowder

Memphis Grizzlies @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total: 225

Vegas Spread: Bkn -2.0

Starting with the Grizzlies, Jonas Valanciunas has at least 49 DraftKings points in two of his last three games and targeting centers against the Nets is something I will continue to do. He scored 44.75 DraftKings points in just 19 minutes in this spot earlier this season, he’s an elite center option. Both Jaren Jackson and Brandon Clarke will be out again for this matchup. Kyle Anderson will likely continue to start but just never a guy that I will get to, he’s torturous to watch. Dillon Brooks is playing great basketball and hasn’t really seen his price move, he’s a great option here and has shot at least 22 times in three of his last four games. Lastly, Ja Morant scored 50 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season and has at least 40 fantasy points in two of his last four, he’s an elite GPP option at this price tag. From the Nets, Caris LeVert went bananas against the Celtics last night dropping 66.5 fantasy points and 51 real-life points. He’s shown to be volatile but with Kyrie off the court, he is no stranger to touching the ball. He’s an elite play here and is far too cheap. Spencer Dinwiddie has at least 49 fantasy points in two of his last three games. He’s a nice option too, but one of these two guys is likely to have an average game while the other has the better game. That said, do not pair the two! That about wraps up my interest from this team unless you want to take a GPP dart on Joe Harris or Taurean Prince.

5-star play: Jonas Valanciunas, Dillon Brooks, Caris LeVert

4-star play: Ja Morant, Spencer Dinwiddie

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Joe Harris, Taurean Prince

Chicago Bulls @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Bulls, Zach LaVine will miss this game, here is how the rest of the team shakes out with him off the court this season (along with Kris Dunn, Luke Kornet, and Chandler Hutchinson)…

  • Coby White – 27.5% usage rate; 0.99 fpm
  • Thad Young – 23.2% usage rate; 1.01 fpm
  • Denzel Valentine – 25.1% usage rate; 1.11 fpm

These are going to be the guys that I have the most interest in. I’m willing to go a little higher on White as well, I don’t think that 0.99 fpm is very representative of what he has done over the past few weeks. In fact, if we take those guys off the court over the past two weeks, Coby White has an insane 38.9% usage rate and 1.46 fantasy points per minute. He will be one of my favorite players on this team in a plus matchup against the Timberwolves. We saw Denzel Valentine start the last game and play 21 minutes on his way to 27.5 fantasy points. I would assume he sees more and more minutes going forward, but we need to keep in mind that Otto Porter is also getting healthy but will also likely be on a minute restriction. From the Wolves, D’Angelo Russell has finally seen his price jump to over $9k which is a scary price to pay on a volatile player like him. He scored just 22.3 fantasy points in an earlier matchup with the Bulls, but with Towns still out he has a 28% usage rate and 1.32 fantasy points per minute. Malik Beasley continues to play great basketball and in a good matchup with the Bulls, I would expect this to continue making him a great cash option in his price range. Juancho Hernangomez is also in good form and has at least 32 DraftKings points in three straight, he’s worth a look here as well. Naz Reid scored 46.5 fantasy points against the Pels last night, I just don’t love him as a player and think you can do better in this price range.

5-star play: Coby White, D’Angelo Russell

4-star play: Malik Beasley, Juancho Hernangomez, Thad Young, Denzel Valentine

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Tomas Satoransky, Thad Young, Naz Reid

New Orleans Pelicans @ Dallas Mavericks

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Pelicans, both Jrue Holiday and Zion Williamson had big nights last night. Zion is more cash viable than Holiday is and visa-versa for GPPs. That said, if I’m picking one it will be Zion against a weak Mavs frontcourt. Brandon Ingram has gone back to playing nearly 40 minutes per game, I don’t love the price on him but anyone playing that kind of minutes that has the talent that he has is worth a GPP look at the very least. Lonzo Ball is really the only other guy I have an interest in here. He has two straight games with at least 50 fantasy points but shot 7-10 from three last night which isn’t sustainable obviously. I don’t hate going back to him here if you think he can keep the heater going. From the Mavericks, I would expect both Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis to play here. In this scenario, Kristaps is just too expensive for me even in a great matchup and great form. Luka is the guy I want from this team, it’s a big pace up spot and he’s averaging 58.3 DraftKings points against them on the season, he’s tough not to like here. Other than that, I suppose you could take a look at Tim Hardaway and Seth Curry but on a slate of this size, I just don’t see myself getting there much.

5-star play: Luka Doncic, Zion Williamson

4-star play: Brandon Ingram, Jrue Holiday, Lonzo Ball

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Seth Curry, Tim Hardaway

Washington Wizards @ Portland Trailblazers

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

This game doesn’t have a total on it yet but I would expect it to be one of the higher scoring ones on the slate, as both teams play very fast. We will start with the Wizards, Bradley Beal has a huge price tag right now, but it doesn’t come without warrant. He has at least 50 DraftKings points in six straight games, he’s an elite option here. Davis Bertans has at least 31 fantasy points in back to back games and if he can get hot from behind the arch always has a chance to hit GPP value. Rui Hachimura finally played a good game last time out and makes sense here as I have been targeting centers against Hassan Whiteside all season long. From the Blazers, it sounds like Damian Lillard will return here, but I would expect him to have a minute restriction. He’s a wait and see guy until he’s off that restriction. Lillard being back takes me off of CJ McCollum at this price tag, i will wait for his price to come back down to where it should be with Lillard on the court. I love Hassan Whiteside in this spot, I don’t love the price tag, but he’s been playing great basketball and the lane should open up a bit more with Lillard back. Carmelo Anthony should lose a few shots but he is still a fine GPP option.

5-star play: Bradley Beal

4-star play: Hassan Whiteside, Rui Hachimura

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Trevor Ariza, Carmelo Anthony, CJ McCollum
