Full Court Press:

Milwaukee Bucks @ Orlando Magic

Vegas Total: 218.0

Vegas Spread: Mil -9.0

This game is the lone early game so if you want pieces of this one you’ll have to get some showdown action. That said we will get started with the Magic, Nikola Vucevic has been pretty average in this matchup this season averaging 39.9 DraftKings points in two games, he’s a fine play here. Evan Fournier has seen his price come down a good amount and is still getting 30+ minutes and is the type of player that the Bucks will let try to beat them, they’re more than willing to let other teams shoot the three. He’s averaging 32.6 DraftKings points in three games against them this season. Really the only other player I have interest in here is Aaron Gordon who’s coming off a couple of big games the past few times out, however, he’s struggled in this matchup this season and Milwaukee’s length gives him some issues. Markelle Fultz is also priced fairly here and makes sense as a GPP guy. From the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is the stud you will want on the showdown slate, he’s averaging 63.1 DraftKings points in two games in this matchup this season and has the highest upside in this game, you’ll want to try and jam him in your captain/MVP slots. Khris Middleton is in great form and has 40+ DraftKings points in four of his last five games, he’s a solid option here as well and is probably too cheap. Eric Bledsoe is also a solid option, he’s more for GPPs, but I won’t talk you off of him for cash games. Both Brook Lopez and Donte DiVincenzo make sense as GPP options as well.

5-star play: Nikola Vucevic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Evan Fournier

4-star play: Aaron Gordon, Markelle Fultz, Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe

Deeper Value: Pat Connaughton

GPP Sleeper: Terrence Ross, Brook Lopez, Donte DiVincenzo

Dallas Mavericks @ Charlotte Hornets

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Mavericks, Luka Doncic is still out here and at this point, we have a pretty nice sample size on how the rest of the team is performing with him off the court.

  • Kristaps Porzingis – 29.6% usage rate; 1.45 fpm
  • Jalen Brunson – 22.5% usage rate; 1.02 fpm
  • Delon Wright – 17.8% usage rate; 1.06 fpm
  • Tim Hardaway – 24.6% usage rate; 0.84 fpm
  • JJ Barea – 28.1% usage rate; 1.31 fpm – not really an option unless starting due to his minute volatility.

Porzingis has been the guy you want on this team with Doncic out, he has 50+ DraftKings points in three of his last four games and should be able to do what he wants against this Hornets frontcourt. Jalen Brunson is at a price that I don’t love but the opportunity is there for him. Tim Hardaway also has at least 38 DraftKings points in two of his last three games but is more of a GPP option. From the Hornets, Devonte’ Graham scored 54 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season but has seen his production come down since then, it feels like the league has figured out a better way to guard him which is causing for a decrease in productivity. Terry Rozier also dropped a 50 burger in this matchup and I would actually prefer him if I’m deciding between the two. Miles Bridges is on some kind of heater over the past four games scoring at least 40 DraftKings points in three of them. Marvin Williams will be bought out by this team so it will be interesting to see if PJ Washington sees a bump in minutes, but that’s something we can look for here and use going forward.

5-star play: Kristaps Porzingis

4-star play:  Jalen Brunson, Tim Hardaway, Devonte’ Graham, Terry Rozier, Miles Bridges

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Delon Wright, PJ Washington

New York Knicks @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Knicks, RJ Barrett returned last game to play 18 minutes, I would expect him to get up over that 20-minute mark, but still, not someone that I’ll have interest in unless they come out and say his minutes won’t be monitored. The other big news on this team is that Marcus Morris was traded to the Clippers which will open up minutes and usage in that frontcourt, here is how the team performs with him off the court this season;

  • Julius Randle – 30.5% usage rate; 1.31 fpm
  • Bobby Portis – 21.1% usage rate; 0.95 fpm
  • Mitchell Robinson – 12.2% usage rate; 0.92 fpm

Julius Randle is the only guy that sees over a fantasy point per minute and is an elite play going forward especially against a Pisonts team that is now without Andre Drummond. Taj Gibson and Reggie Bullock picked up Marcus Morris’s minutes on Thursday, but I’m not huge on either of them, I wish they would just run Bobby Portis out there for 30 minutes. Elfrid Payton is in incredible form and has scored 44+ DraftKings points in three straight games, he’s a great play here. Lastly, Mitchell Robinson is expected to play here, he’s more of a deep GPP guy as he’s been pretty volatile as of late. From the Pistons, Andre Drummond was traded to the Cavs which opens up a ton of usage and minutes in that frontcourt. We saw both Thon Maker and Christian Wood have big games last night as they both started, I would think the same starting lineup will hold true tonight. Wood is seeing 1.27 fantasy points per minute with Drummond off the court this season and makes a lot of sense as the new starting big man for this team. If Maker gets the start again he’s a great value play but keep an eye out for John Henson’s availability as he’ll cut into those minutes. Reggie Jackson is in pretty good form but has gotten to a price where I really don’t love him especially if Derrick Rose plays, he’s currently questionable.

5-star play: Julius Randle, Elfrid Payton

4-star play: Thon Maker, Christian Wood, Reggie Jackson, Bruce Brown

Deeper Value: Taj Gibson, Thon Maker, Sekou Doumbouya

GPP Sleeper: Mitchell Robinson, Sekou Doumbouya

Brooklyn Nets @ Toronto Raptors

Vegas Total: 221.5

Vegas Spread: Tor -7.0

Starting with the Nets, Kyrie is out again here but Spencer Dinwiddie is in pretty bad form even with him out the past few games, I’m going to need to see it before I go back to him here. Caris LeVert has taken advantage of that Irving usage and has at least 39 fantasy points in two straight games and has 20 field goal attempts in both those games, he’s a nice play here. This is a tough spot for Jarrett Allen, I’m not all that big on him here. Joe Harris is in solid form as well, scoring at least 32 fantasy points in two of his last three. The only issue with him is he’s pretty scoring dependent. From the Raptors, both Kyle Lowry and Norman Powell are out here which opens up a ton of minutes. Fred VanVleet should play all the minutes he can handle here and I would expect him to be up near that 40-minute mark in a great matchup against a Nets team that doesn’t play much defense. He has a 27% usage rate and 1.19 fantasy points per minute with Lowry and Powell out this season. This is a great Pascal Siakam spot, targeting big men against the Nets has been profitable all season and with these guys out for the Raptors he sees 1.26 fantasy points per minute and he scored 64 DraftKings points against them earlier this season. Serge Ibaka is in play if Gasol is out again, but if Gasol is in I’ll likely fade both. Lastly, Terence Davis should see minutes in the 30’s here with Lowry and Powell out and has at least 37 DraftKings points in two of his last three games and makes a lot of sense as a value option here.

5-star play: Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam

4-star play: Spencer Dinwiddie, Caris LeVert, Serge Ibaka, Terence Davis

Deeper Value: Terrance Davis

GPP Sleeper: Jarrett Allen, Joe Harris, Taurean Prince

New Orleans Pelicans @ Indiana Pacers

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Pelicans, Zion Williamson is just too expensive for me here and really hasn’t shown a ceiling yet. Until we see that game from him, I don’t know that he’s worth this price, that said, I know the ceiling is in there somewhere, so I won’t talk you off of him for GPPs. Brandon Ingram has at least 48 DraftKings points in two of his last three games but is questionable here so keep an eye on news on him. Jrue Holiday is not in great form, so I’ll wait for him to bounce back, but more than likely one of these starters is going to have a dud game every night because they simply all can’t hit value. Lonzo Ball is still playing a ton of minutes and makes a ton of sense here for GPPs, especially if Ingram ends up sitting. Derrick Favors screwed me on Tuesday night but bounced back against the Bulls, he’s a fine filler option. Lastly, Josh Hart and JJ Redick both make sense as GPP fillers. From the Pacers, Domantas Sabonis is a great option in a huge pace up game for the Pacers, he scored 43 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season. Malcolm Brogdon is priced where he should be but in a great matchup it’s hard to overlook him, he has at least 36 DraftKings points in two straight games. TJ Warren’s minutes have been all over the place lately, he’s questionable, but if he plays I like him for GPPs. Lastly, Victor Oladipo is getting very close to that 30-minute mark and is starting to see his production come back, I actually love this spot for him at a very cheap price tag and a past paced match up with a bad defensive team.

***UPDATE*** – Victor Oladipo will be rested tonight, don’t play him

5-star play: Domantas Sabonis, Victor Oladipo

4-star play:  Zion Williamson, Jrue Holiday, Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Malcolm Brogdon

Deeper Value: Victor Oladipo

GPP Sleeper: JJ Redick, Josh Hart, TJ Warren, Myles Turner

Los Angeles Clippers @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Clippers, they acquired Marcus Morris at the deadline as another scoring threat, keep an eye out to see if he’s available today. If so, he’s too expensive for what his new role is. Kawhi Leonard has 40+ DraftKings points in all three games since Paul George came back, he’s a nice play in a fast-paced game against a bad defense. Speaking of Paul George, he has back-to-back games of at least 47 fantasy points, I like him here as well. Montrezl Harrell just has not been in good form and is a fade for me even in a great matchup. The same can be said for Lou Williams, although if you want to throw a dart at him in GPPs I won’t talk you off of it in a great matchup. From the Wolves, it doesn’t sound like D’Angelo Russell will be available here as he still needs to complete his physical and is still dealing with a bit of a quad injury, but keep an eye on him in case something changes. The Clippers are struggling against opposing big men this season and Karl-Anthony Towns has taken advantage of that, averaging 60 DraftKings points against them in two games this season. Josh Okogie should continue to see huge minutes here with all the departures from this team, he’s going to see a tough defense, but I don’t hate it. Jordan Mclaughlin will likely see the start if Russell is unavailable, he scored 33 DraftKings points last time out and makes for a nice option here. Jarrett Culver is in terrible form and is a fade for me until he figures some things out.

5-star play: Karl-Anthony Towns, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George

4-star play: Josh Okogie, Jordan Mclaughlin

Deeper Value: Kelan Martin, Naz Reid

GPP Sleeper: Lou Williams, Naz Reid, Kelan Martin

Los Angeles Lakers @ Golden State Warriors

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Lakers, LeBron James and Anthony Davis are both in elite spots here, but this is a game we need to take blowouts into consideration, as the Warriors are without Burks, Robinson, and Russell moving forward. That said, I won’t talk you off of playing either of them due to the incredible matchup.  The only other Laker that I really have any interest in is Kyle Kuzma as he’s played well as of late and is maybe blowout proof, but I wouldn’t hang my hat on it. From the Warriors, we’ve got a lot to dig into, as they’ve traded Russell, Robinson, and Burks at the deadline. It sounds like Andrew Wiggins may be available here and is a guy that I wouldn’t hate getting to as he’ll take a lot of the usage on this team but at this price, I’m more comfortable taking a wait and see approach.Draymond Green isn’t in the greatest form and is pretty expensive, I don’t know that I love him here. Damion Lee should see around 30 minutes going forward with all the open minutes at guard and forward, he’s not the worst option. We saw Eric Paschall get the start last game and will likely be the case again here, he’s scored at least 28 Draftkings points in two straight games, he’s not a terrible GPP option. Lastly, I like Kevon Looney as a value option as they start to increase his minutes.

5-star play: LeBron James, Anthony Davis

4-star play: Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, Damion Lee, Eric Pascall, Marquese Chriss

Deeper Value: Kevon Looney

GPP Sleeper: Kyle Kuzma, Andrew Wiggins

Denver Nuggets @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic is dominating right now and should be able to do what he likes here against Ayton and this Suns frontcourt. He’s playing close to 40 minutes lately and has at least 69 (nice) DraftKings points in three straight games. Will Barton is out again here and Jamal Murray’s minutes are way back as he played 43 minutes last game, I like him quite a bit here. Jerami Grant is probable here after missing last game, he should continue to play all the minutes he can handle and in a good matchup, the price is very nice. Lastly, Jordan McRae was traded to this team and I would expect him to take that Malik Beasley role in this offense, so look out for him, but right now he’s too expensive. From the Suns, DeAndre Ayton had a dud game last night when the whole world was on him, he gets a tough matchup here at an elevated price tag, he’s a fade for me. Devin Booker dropped a 50 burger last night and has a huge upside any time he takes the court, he’s a nice GPP play. Kelly Oubre had one of his better games of the season last night going for 58 DraftKings points, he’s going to play a ton of minutes and is a nice GPP option as well. That basically concludes my interest on this team until Ricky Rubio gets back into form.

5-star play: Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray

4-star play:  Jerami Grant, Devin Booker, Kelly Oubre

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Ricky Rubio, Kelly Oubre, Devin Booker

San Antonio Spurs @ Sacramento Kings

Vegas Total: 224.5

Vegas Spread: Sas -2.5

Starting with the Spurs, this is a pretty good spot for DeMar DeRozan and he scored 43.5 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season, he’s been pretty consistent as of late. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 40.3 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season and is in great form coming off a big game against the Blazers. The only other Spurs player that I have any interest in is Dejounte Murray, but only GPPs as he has been pretty volatile. From the Kings, I like De’Aaron Fox a good deal here as the Spurs have been pretty bad against opposing guards this season. Nemanja Bjelica is also a great play here at a very nice price with Bagley and Holmes out again. The same can be said for Buddy Hield, both guys seem underpriced. Lastly, Bogdan Bogdanovic has played good minutes as of late and is coming off a 41.5 DraftKings point game, I like him here as well.

5-star play: DeMar DeRozan, LaMarcus Aldridge, De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, Nemanja Bjelica

4-star play: Dejounte Murray, Bogdan Bogdanovic

Deeper Value: Harry Giles

GPP Sleeper: Dejounte Murray
