Full Court Press:

Milwaukee Bucks @ Washington Wizards

Vegas Total: 240.5

Vegas Spread: Mil -13.5

This game has a massive 240 implied total on it but the Bucks should have no issue winning it. That said, there will be plenty of points to go around where I don’t really concern myself with the blowout here. Starting with the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo has scored at least 66 DraftKings points in each of his two games since the all-star break and should be able to do whatever he wants in this matchup. Khris Middleton is priced as if Giannis is still out, so he’s pretty much a fade for me although he still has shown a decent ceiling even at this price tag. Eric Bledsoe’s price is a little more appealing but still nothing that I’m overly thrilled about. Brook Lopez has been ruled out for this one, keep an eye out for who starts in his place. I would expect Ilyasova, Robin Lopez, or Marvin Williams to get the start and I’ll have interest in whoever that is as a value. From the Wizards, I love this spot for Bradley Beal, he’s coming off a 70 point fantasy night last night and scored 60.5 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season. The Bucks give up big games to his type of playstyle, love him here. Rui Hachimura continues to play well and I like the price on him still, solid secondary play. Davis Bertans should get some open looks from deep here and makes for a nice GPP play in case he can get hot and knock a few down. Lastly, Ish Smith makes sense as a secondary option as well.

5-star play: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bradley Beal

4-star play: Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe, Rui Hachimura, Davis Bertans

Deeper Value: Whoever starts at center for the Bucks

GPP Sleeper: Eric Bledsoe, Khris Middleton, Donte DiVincenzo, Ish Smith

Atlanta Hawks @ Philadephia 76ers

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Hawks, Trae Young gets a pretty good matchup here with Ben Simmons out. He’s averaging 59 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Sixers this season, the minutes he’s playing right now is insane as well, tough not to like him here. John Collins is coming off a 67 point fantasy outing last time out and I would expect his rebound equity to stay increased while Clint Capela is still sidelined. Kevin Huerter is playing all the minutes he can handle right now and makes for a great play in all formats although his price is starting to get up there. From the Sixers, both Tobias Harris and Ben Simmons will be out for this game, here is how the rest of the team grades out…

  • Joel Embiid – 36.9% usage rate, 1.64 fpm
  • Josh Richardson – 27.4% usage rate; 1.05 fpm
  • Al Horford – 22.4% usage rate; 1.04 fpm

These would be the three guys that I expect I’ll get the most exposure to while guys like Alec Burks or Glenn Robinson are tough to trust until their roles become more solidified.

5-star play: Trae Young, Joel Embiid

4-star play: Kevin Huerter, John Collins, Al Horford, Josh Richardson

Deeper Value: Furkan Korkmaz

GPP Sleeper: John Collins, Kevin Huerter, Alec Burks, Glenn Robinson

Miami Heat @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Heat, Jimmy Butler has been ruled out for this game, here is how the rest of the team grades out with him off the court…

  • Bam Adebayo – 24.2% usage rate; 1.38 fpm
  • Goran Dragic – 27.6% usage rate; 1.17 fpm
  • Kendrick Nunn – 24.2% usage rate; 0.93 fpm

These are the three guys I would expect to get the most interest in, Adebayo really sees a huge boost with him out as does Dragic. From the Cavaliers, Andre Drummond is not getting the minutes that he was in Detroit and has played no more than 25 minutes in three straight games. I can’t play him until either his price comes down or his minutes go up, his upside is just too limited in such a small amount of minutes. Kevin Love’s minutes have been all over the place as well, maybe we chalk this up to a new coach, but this is a situation I’m avoiding until we get some clarity. Collin Sexton is the one guy playing consistent minutes right now and will avoid Butler’s defense which is an upgrade for him. Tristan Thompson has been getting more minutes than newly acquired Drummond which makes zero sense, but performing well nonetheless, you can make a case for him in deep GPPs.

5-star play: Bam Adebayo

4-star play: Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn, Andre Drummond, Collin Sexton

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn, Andre Drummond, Kevin Love, Collin Sexton, Tristan Thompson

Orlando Magic @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total: 212.5

Vegas Spread: Bkn -3.0

Starting with the Magic, this is a spot where I will like Nikola Vucevic. Centers against the Nets is a real thing and he has scored at least 50 DraftKings points in four straight games and 48 in this matchup earlier this season. Aaron Gordon is playing great basketball as well, he’s scored at least 42 DraftKings points in three straight games. Markelle Fultz scored 40.25 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season, he makes for a nice GPP guard option here. Lastly, Evan Fournier makes for a nice secondary option and is in better form as of late. From the Nets, Kyrie is out again here meaning Caris LeVert and Spencer Dinwiddie will pick up the slack in the backcourt. Dinwiddie didn’t do so hot in this spot earlier this season, but I do like the price on him as he has a 31.8% usage rate and 1.22 fantasy points per minute with Kyrie out this season. LeVert is right there with Dinwiddie with a 31% usage rate and 1.09 fantasy points per minute, that said, I prefer Dinwiddie for cash and LeVert for GPP due to volatility. That pretty much concludes my interest in this team outside of GPP darts on Joe Harris and Taurean Prince.

5-star play: Nikola Vucevic

4-star play:  Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie, Evan Fournier, Aaron Gordon, Markelle Fultz

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Jarrett Allen, Taurean Prince, Joe Harris, Markelle Fultz

New York Knicks @ Houston Rockets

Vegas Total: 229.5

Vegas Spread: Hou -14.0

Starting with the Knicks, Julius Randle has been a bit all over the place as of late, but I do like this spot for him. The Rockets will go small but I think he’s athletic enough to hang in there and rack up some extra rebounds. Elfrid Payton is questionable here so keep an eye on his status, but if he plays I like him a good amount in GPPs in what is a huge pace up spot for the Knicks. RJ Barrett still isn’t producing quite where I want him to yet, I’ll wait on him a little longer. Lastly, Mitchell Robinson is a fine GPP option, but I don’t think they’ll need him much here especially if they decide to go small to match the Rockets. From the Rockets, James Harden has scored at least 60 DraftKings points in four straight games and should be able to do what he pleases here, although I do worry a bit about the blowout here and at a similar price I would rather go with Giannis in a faster game. Russell Westbrook has come back down to Earth since the break, I think he’s a little too overpriced right now especially in a game that I expect to blowout. Lastly, Robert Covington makes a lot of sense as well as I love his role on this team, they will space the floor and allow him to shoot a bunch of three’s and recover loose balls.

5-star play: James Harden

4-star play: Robert Covington, Russell Westbrook, Elfrid Payton, Julius Randle

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Elfrid Payton

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Dallas Mavericks

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Timberwolves, D’Angelo Russell is expected to return here and should see a ton of usage with Towns out for the near future. The price is elevated and it’s not the greatest matchup which makes this more of a GPP spot for me. Malik Beasley continues to play well but the price is getting to the point where he’s more of a secondary play. Naz Reid will likely continue to start for this team with Towns out, he makes for a nice option against a weak frontcourt. From the Mavericks, this is an incredible spot for Luka Doncic and may be one of the first players in my lineup due to the discount from Giannis and a similarly great matchup. I’m really not big on the rest of this team, Porzingis sees his usage go way down with Doncic on the court, although he has scored 56+ DraftKings points in two straight games. Tim Hardaway is more of a GPP option due to his volatility and since most of the backcourt usage will funnel to Doncic.

5-star play: Luka Doncic

4-star play: D’Angelo Russell, Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway, Malik Beasley, Naz Reid

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Kristaps Porzingis, Seth Curry, Juancho Hernangomez

Phoenix Suns @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: 223

Vegas Spread: Utah -8.0

Starting with the Suns, DeAndre Ayton draws a tough matchup here against one of the best interior defenders in the league in Gobert. That said, Ayton has proven to be matchup proof this season so if you want to go here in GPPs I won’t talk you out of it. Devin Booker struggled in this matchup earlier this season scoring just 27 DraftKings points, in a tough matchup and not one that I will be seeking out. Kelly Oubre is not in good form at all but we know he can pop off for a 50 burger at a moment’s notice which keeps him on my GPP radar. Lastly, Ricky Rubio seems to be getting back up to speed, I still think he’s priced a bit too high but I don’t hate it for GPPs. From the Jazz, Rudy Gobert draws a pretty good matchup here and scored 46 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season. Donovan Mitchell is all over the place right now and not a guy that I can trust in cash games, if you want to go here in GPPs I won’t talk you out of it. This is a great spot for Bojan Bogdanovic as well, although he’s priced pretty much where he should be. Mike Conley returned last game and scored 32 DraftKings points, I still think he’s too cheap for the role he’ll play in this offense.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Rudy Gobert, Donovan Mitchell, Mike Conley, Devin Booker, Ricky Rubio, Kelly Oubre

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Jordan Clarkson, Donovan Mitchell, Devin Booker, Kelly Oubre, Ricky Rubio

Memphis Grizzlies @ Los Angeles Clippers

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Grizzlies, my favorite option on this team is Jonas Valanciunas who is averaging 46.8 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Clippers this season as they continue to struggle with opposing big men. Ja Morant is performing surprisingly well in this matchup averaging 47.9 DraftKings points per game in two games against them this season. Jaren Jackson will miss the next few weeks which will open up minutes for Brandon Clarke who slides in and becomes a solid mid-range play. From the Clippers, I have my hesitations that Paul George will play here, he’s currently questionable so keep an eye on his news, but here is how the rest of the team operates with him out this season…

  • Kawhi Leonard – 36.8% usage rate; 1.62 fpm
  • Lou Williams – 30.3% usage rate; 1.18 fpm
  • Montrezl Harrell – 26.9% usage rate; 1.21 fpm

These are the three guys that will pick up most of the slack and the guys you will want from this team.

5-star play: Lou Williams (if George is out), Kawhi Leonard, Jonas Valanciunas

4-star play: Montrezl Harrell, Ivica Zubac, Ja Morant, Brandon Clarke

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Ivica Zubac
