NBA Full Court Press Breakdown, Advice, and Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Feb. 20th, 2020

Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides, that said, we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Michael aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Before I get started, make sure to check out the latest new DFS website. SuperDraft is an innovative new DFS site that does not have salaries but instead uses a multiplier system and better yet, THEY HAVE LATE SWAP! Check out more on how it works below!

Full Court Press:

Milwaukee Bucks @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total: 224

Vegas Spread: Mil -13.5

Ladies and gentlemen the all-star break is over and we are back to NBA DFS, let’s dig right it! Starting with the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo will be back here after missing the past few games due to his firstborn arriving. He’s averaged 51.6 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Pistons this season. This is definitely a game where I worry if the Pistons will keep it close enough for Giannis to get fourth-quarter run, for that reason, he’s a GPP guy for me. Khris Middleton is priced as if Giannis is still out, so he’s pretty much a fade for me. Eric Bledsoe’s price is a little more appealing but still nothing that I’m overly thrilled about. The same can be said for Brook Lopez, although he has a nice matchup down low with Wood, Henson, and Maker. From the Pistons, Reggie Jackson was bought out by this team so don’t play him even though he’s listed as available. I would expect Derrick Rose and Bryce Brown to absorb his minutes and usage. Keep an eye on Rose, if he doesn’t have a minutes limit he is far too cheap. We saw both Thon Maker and Christian Wood in four games without Drummond since the deadline, but it seems as if Wood will be the more consistent producer. That said, they have both had two good games with one dud game. I was expecting John Henson to take more of Maker’s minutes than he has, but Maker has held strong and has at least 25 fantasy points in three of his last four games. Wood is seeing 1.27 fantasy points per minute with Drummond off the court this season and makes a lot of sense as the new starting big man for this team and gas gone for at least 40 fantasy points in three of those four games.

5-star play: Derrick Rose (if not limited), Christian Wood, Giannis Antetokounmpo

4-star play: Brook Lopez, Thon Maker, Bryce Brown

Deeper Value: John Henson

GPP Sleeper: Thon Maker, Eric Bledsoe, Khris Middleton, Donte DiVincenzo

Miami Heat @ Atlanta Hawks

Vegas Total: 230.5

Vegas Spread: Mia -6.0

Starting with the Heat, Jimmy Butler is averaging 48.2 DraftKings points in three matchups with the Hawks this season, he should be able to do what he wants here and is a great play given his success against this team. Bam Adebayo is also no stranger to big games against the Hawks, he’s averaging 49.3 DraftKings points per game in three games against them making him an elite option as well. Jae Crowder is playing great for his new team and I don’t hate going right back to him here, he’s playing big minutes and doing a lot with them. Lastly, Goran Dragic and Kendrick Nunn are more of a GPP option now that Butler is back. From the Hawks, Trae Young gets a very difficult matchup with one of the best teams in the league against opposing guards, however, he has shown he’s matchup proof this season, he’s a great GPP option. John Collins is averaging 40.5 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Heat, with Capela still out for this team his rebound equity is still fairly large. Kevin Huerter is playing all the minutes he can handle right now and makes for a great play in all formats although his price is starting to get up there.

5-star play: Trae Young, Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo

4-star play: Kevin Huerter, John Collins, Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: John Collins, Kevin Huerter, Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn

Charlotte Hornets @ Chicago Bulls

Vegas Total: 209.5

Vegas Spread: Chi -5.0

Starting with the Hornets, Devonte’ Graham is averaging 38.3 DraftKings points in three games against the Bulls this season. I don’t love the pace in this game, but he has scored at least 45 fantasy points in three straight games. Terry Rozier isn’t in the best form but he is averaging 29.9 DraftKings points per game against the Bulls this season, he makes sense as a secondary option. Miles Bridges was on a bit of a heater before the all-star break and actually performed quite well in the Rising Stars Challenge, he’s playing a lot of minutes right now and isn’t a bad GPP option. Marvin Williams was bought out by the Hornets and led PJ Washington to see more minutes, that said, he has not been all that productive with Williams gone. Lastly, Malik Monk has seen good minutes lately and makes sense as a secondary option as well. From the Bulls, Zach LaVine went into the All-Star break with a 63 point fantasy outing against the Wizards. This game has a lower total than that game but he’s playing huge minutes and in great form. Thad Young still isn’t priced at a great spot for me, he has very little upside even in a great matchup. Tomas Satoransky has scored at least 28 DraftKings points in two straight games, again, don’t love the pace which makes him a secondary play. Coby White is playing pretty big minutes and has at least 35 DraftKings points in two of his last three games and makes sense as a nice GPP option.

5-star play: Zach LaVine

4-star play: Devonte’ Graham, Terry Rozier, Miles Bridges, Tomas Satoransky, Thad Young

Deeper Value: Luke Kornet

GPP Sleeper: PJ Washington, Malik Monk, Coby White

Brooklyn Nets @ Philadelphia 76ers

Vegas Total: 217

Vegas Spread: Phi -8.0

Starting with the Nets, Kyrie is out again here meaning Caris LeVert and Spencer Dinwiddie will pick up the slack in the backcourt. Dinwiddie is averaging 38.4 DraftKings points per game in three games against the Sixers this season, that said, I do like the price on him as he has a 31.8% usage rate and 1.22 fantasy points per minute with Kyrie out this season. LeVert is right there with Dinwiddie with a 31% usage rate and 1.09 fantasy points per minute, that said, I prefer Dinwiddie for cash and LeVert for GPP due to volatility. That pretty much concludes my interest in this team outside of GPP darts on Joe Harris and Taurean Prince. From the Sixers, big men against the Nets right? This is a great spot for Joel Embiid who is hopefully healthier after a long break, love him here and is a guy that cracks my Core 4 Article. Ben Simmons is also in a great spot and has scored 55.9 DraftKings points per game in three games against the Nets this season. It’s worth noting that Embiid missed all those games, however. Tobias Harris is averaging 38.5 DraftKings points per game in three games against the Nets and went into the break scoring at least 41 fantasy points in three of his last four. Lastly, Al Horford and Josh Richardson are both secondary GPP options.

5-star play: Joel Embiid, Spencer Dinwiddie, Ben Simmons

4-star play:  Caris LeVert, Tobias Harris

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Jarrett Allen, Taurean Prince, Joe Harris, Al Horford, Josh Richardson

Memphis Grizzlies @ Sacramento Kings

Vegas Total: 228

Vegas Spread: Sac -1.0

Starting with the Kings, I like De’Aaron Fox here in a nice paced game with a 228 total. He’s averaging 48.4 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Grizzlies this season. Nemanja Bjelica is also a great play here at a very nice price with Bagley and Holmes out again, he’s scored at least 33 DraftKings points in three of his last four games. The same can be said for Buddy Hield who is pretty volatile which is why I’ll leave him for GPPs. Lastly, Bogdan Bogdanovic has his minutes all over the place, he’s a deep GPP option at best. From the Grizzlies, I like Jonas Valanciunas here at a very fair price tag. He scored 37.5 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season and with Bagley and Holmes out they really don’t have a true center to stop him. Ja Morant scored at least 40 DraftKings points in two straight heading into the break and feels like a great option here as well and seems to be making the rookie jump. Jaren Jackson is priced a little too high for me but I won’t talk you off of him if you want to go there in GPP. Brandon Clarke and Dillon Brooks are fine deep GPP guys as well in a fast-paced game with a close spread.

5-star play: De’Aaron Fox, Jonas Valanciunas, Ja Morant

4-star play: Buddy Hield, Nemanja Bjelica, Jaren Jackson

Deeper Value: Harry Giles

GPP Sleeper: Jaren Jackson, Buddy Hield, Brandon Clarke, Dillon Brooks

Houston Rockets @ Golden State Warriors

Vegas Total: 232

Vegas Spread: Hou -10.0

This game has the highest implied total on the slate but also has one of the better chances of blowing out. We will start with the Rockets, James Harden is averaging 66 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Warriors this season and is a great GPP option that I will not talk you off of. Russell Westbrook has scored 55+ DraftKings points in three straight games and is averaging 46 per game against the Warriors this season, he’s a great GPP option as well in hopes this game either stays close or he’s the reason for the blowout. Lastly, Robert Covington makes a lot of sense as well as he’s gotten at least 35 minutes in each of his games as a Rocket. From the Warriors, Andrew Wiggins draws a pretty good matchup here and went into the break with a 50 burger, he’s a bit too volatile for cash games but he’s a great GPP option. Draymond Green scored 41.25 fantasy points on the Rockets earlier this season and will see more ball-handling duties now that Russell and Burks are out of the picture. He’s a triple-double threat every time he takes the court. Marquese Chriss went into the break on a heater scoring at least 43 DraftKings points in two of his last three and the Rockets are still without a legit big man, I like him here. Lastly, Damion Lee has seen his minutes go up with Burks and Robinson out of town, he makes sense as a secondary option in a fast-paced game.

5-star play: James Harden, Russell Westbrook

4-star play: Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, Marquese Chriss

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Damion Lee, Robert Covington, PJ Tucker
