NASCAR Cup Series Setup Top Plays for FanDuel: Las Vegas

Welcome to the NASCAR Cup Series Setup for Fanduel. Here we will be breaking down the best plays for Fanduel purposes. My name is Ryan Larkin and you can follow me @Larkin8 on twitter. This week the Cup Series is at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The VIP Member Research Station and Domination Station will be ready to go for you to help create your lineups so be sure to check that out. Also, jump in the NASCAR VIP Slack and get some great insight into this week’s race.

Top Tier

Joey Logano

Logano has finished inside the top 10 in his last 8 Vegas races including a win in this race last year. He has led 25 or more laps in 7 of those 8 race and led 191 laps in the two races in 2019. I believe a top 5 is 100% in the cards for him this week and he definitely has that ability to dominate.

Kevin Harvick

Two wins in here in the last seven years. More importantly, though he was 2nd and 4th here last year and led 88 & 47 laps in the two races. He was one of the best speedwise with the 550 hp package in 2019 and I expect him to contend for the win this week. Best 10 lap average in final practice.

Brad Keselowski

Hasn’t finished worse than sixth here in the last nine races and has 3 wins in that time. 2nd and 3rd here last year under the current rules package as well. A little concern with the Crew Chief change but this is a great Penske track overall. I think Kes will finish top 5 and contend for the win late.

Value Plays

Alex Bowman

Bowman Looked incredible in practice, especially on the long run. Ranked inside the top 5 in 5, 10 and 15 lap average and fast actually fastest in 15 lap average. He was really strong on this track type in 2019 and I expect him to be a real threat for the win tomorrow. My favorite play on the slate and should be a top threat for the win at low ownership.

Kurt Busch

Finished 5th in this race last year and ran top 10 in the fall before an accident. He looked great in practice and is one of the most consistent drivers in the field. I expect him to finish inside the top 10 and has a shot at a top 5 this week.

Low Tier/Punt

Tyler Reddick

Reddick comes in with only a little Cup experience but he did score a 9th place finish at Kansas with this package last year. RCR finished 12th (Dillon) and 17th (Hemric) here in the fall and I believe Reddick is a better driver than both. Starting 25th I believe he has top 15 upside and can be a great pick to fill out a lineup at only $6,200

Christopher Bell

Last year the 95 team did not have up to date Gibbs equipment for the 550 hp package. This hindered their performance overall. Now with Bell moving over Gibbs has put more effort into making this team succeed. I believe they will have much more speed this year overall.  He should have a top 15 car this week and can possibly sneak into the top 10.
