Full Court Press:

Chicago Bulls @ Indiana Pacers

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: IND -8.0

From the Bulls, Lauri Markkanen sat last night, and is a GTD again tonight, if he suits up he’s in play for me tonight, but I don’t love the matchup here. Zach LaVine is firmly in play here, as he should be able to do whatever he wants in this game as Indiana has been weaker against wing players like him, and he’s playing at a high level right now with all their injuries. Wendell Carter is still out for this game, and if Lauri sits as well that puts both Thad Young and Luke Kornet in play and Daniel Gafford would be in play for value as well if he suits up. Lastly, Tomas Satoransky has come down a bit over his past couple of games but I don’t hate the idea of going to him for GPPs if you land in that price range. Kris Dunn is also in play for value as he’s really stepped up his game the past 2 weeks.

Starting with the Pacers, this is a pretty nice matchup for Domantas Sabonis he’s been a bit volatile as of late but I’ll chalk that up to difficult matchups, I like him here as the Bulls are one of the worst defensive teams against bigs this year. Malcolm Brogdon is a GTD decision again tonight, which would be a boost to TJ McConnell who will likely get the start who has been in great form. TJ Warren gets a nice little boost as well and is in great form coming off of a 53 point Draftkings outing. Myles Turner is a GTD here as well, and if he sits its a major boost to Sabonis and makes Goga Bitadze playable. Victor Oladipo is also expected to return here, but he’ll be on a strict minutes limit throughout the All-Star break, so I’ll take a wait and see approach with him.

5-star plays: Domantas Sabonis, Zach LaVine

4-star plays: Kris Dunn, Thad Young, TJ Warren, Jeremy Lamb

Deeper Value: Goga Bitadze, Luke Kornet

GPP Sleeper: Luke Kornet

Detroit Pistons @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: BKN -8.5

From the Pistons, Andre Drummond is a premier play here as Blake has basically been shutdown for the year so Drummond will handle the load offensively, and we all know the cheat code is to play bigs against the Nets, and he should be able to do whatever he wants here. He just crushed in this same matchup a few nights ago. Derrick Rose has been playing well recently, and he gets a solid matchup here, and that will be boosted with Luke Kennard out again tonight, and if Morris is out as well so we have some value opening up here from the Pistons in the form of Christian Wood and Sekou Doumbaya, although Doumbaya’s price has come up across the industry. Reggie Jackson makes sense as a deeper GPP play as well, but he is risky as he is scoring dependent but with Kennard out he sees a nice boost, and he has been playing pretty well since coming back from injury. If he sits then that puts Langston Galloway in play, Galloway is actually in play either with with Kennard out, as he’s been seeing solid minutes off the bench.

For the Nets, Kyrie Irving is an elite play here, as he’s playing big minutes and the Pistons have been horrible at defending opposing PGs. He should be playing with fire here as well, as he was devastated by the passing of Kobe Bryant and he’ll want to show out here tonight. However, with him and LeVert back that backcourt is now very crowded and limits Spencer Dinwiddie’s upside as well, but I do like Dinwiddie’s usage with the 2nd unit here. Jarrett Allen has been pretty up and down over the past week or so, but I like him as a GPP option here as the Pistons have no interest in playing defense, and he gets a boost if DeAndre Jordan sits again. Taurean Prince is always a GPP option at the very least due to the amount of stats he can produce across the board. I expect this matchup to play out very similarly to how it did just a few nights ago.

5-star play: Andre Drummond, Kyrie Irving

4-star play: Spencer Dinwiddie, Jarrett Allen, Derrick Rose, Reggie Jackson

Deeper Value: Langston Galloway, Reggie Jackson

GPP Sleeper: None

Memphis Grizzlies @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 214.5

Vegas Spread: MEM -2.0

Starting with the Grizzlies, Ja Morant has looked incredible over his two weeks or so. He’s also priced down for whatever reason, and the Knicks have been one of the worst teams at defending the PG position since Elf took over the starting role, I like the upside here for GPPs. Jonas Valanciunas draws another solid matchup here, and he went off last night. I expect the Knicks will slow this game down again and if these two teams get into a more half-court offense type of battle JoVal will smash again. Lastly, Jaren Jackson and Dillon Brooks make sense as secondary plays as both have been playing really well as of late. Brandon Clarke also makes for a solid GPP play on the 2nd half of a B2B, which means the Grizz may limit their big mens minutes here.

From the Knicks, Julius Randle draws a decent matchup here, and he’s been playing really well for the Knicks over the past few weeks and anchoring their offense. Mitchell Robinson has been starting as of late as well, and I’ll have a little interest there. RJ Barrett has been ruled out, so that’ll be a nice boost to Marcus Morris who has been picking it up as of late as well. Lastly, Elfrid Payton has been starting and playing well. Not much else I’m going for on the Knicks outside of these guys.

5-star play: Julius Randle, Jonas Valanciunas, Ja Morant

4-star play: Jaren Jackson Jr., Marcus Morris, Dillon Brooks

Deeper Value: Brandon Clarke, Elfrid Payton

GPP Sleeper: Brandon Clarke

Utah Jazz @ San Antonio Spurs

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: UTH -4.0

For the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell is way too cheap still, and even with Conley back he’s been starting at PG. It’s an elite matchup for him here against a Spurs team that can’t defend PGs. Rudy Gobert continues to play 37-38 minutes per game and could be in store for another 20/20 game here, as the Spurs don’t the physical ability down low with Aldridge already ruled out, and he should feast on the boards.  Both Joe Ingles and Bojan Bogdanovic are playing well with Mike Conley coming off the bench and Royce O’Neale is also a decent value play as he’s been playing big minutes. I’ll have more interest in Conley is when he gets his starting role back.

Starting with the Spurs, DeMar DeRozan is on a tear right now and gets a tougher matchup against a tougher Utah defense. But with Aldridge not playing I certainly won’t talk you off of DDR here. LaMarcus Aldridge has already been ruled out, so that opens up both Jakob Poeltl and Trey Lyles for value here. Derrick White has surpassed Dejounte Murray in a sense and really playing good basketball. I do like the price on Murray as a GPP option, however, but I prefer White more.

5-star play: Donovan Mitchell, DeMar Derozan, Rudy Gobert

4-star play: Bojan Bogdanovic, Derrick White, Joe Ingles, Dejounte Murray, Jakob Poeltl

Deeper Value: Jakob Poeltl, Trey Lyles, Derrick White

GPP Sleeper: Jakob Poeltl

Houston Rockets @ Portland Trail Blazers

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: EVEN

We will start with the Rockets where we have a bit of a mess on our hands. Russell Westbrook is going to be back for this game, and draws an elite matchup here against a Blazers defense that bleed FPs to opposing PGs. James Harden and Clint Capela are both GTDs again and if they sit then Westbrook will be the top pay up option on the night. If Harden sits, I would also expect Ben McLemore to get good run and be nice play at his price point, Danuel House as well. If Capela sits again, I’ll go back to Isaiah Hartenstein for value, mostly because I enjoy getting hurt, but I found it bizarre he played only 6 minutes against the Jazz, and Whiteside presents a size problem for the Rockets again here.

From the Blazers, CJ McCollum is back, but that hasn’t slowed down Damian Lillard as the bucket seems to be as big as an ocean for him right now. They are both elite plays against a Houston team that refuses to play defense against guards. Hassan Whiteside has been a bit volatile as of late but I don’t mind going right back to him in GPPs, especially if Capela is out. Lastly, Carmelo Anthony and Trevor Ariza are fine GPP options.

5-star play: Russell Westbrook, Damian Lillard, James Harden (if he plays)

4-star play: Hassan Whiteside, Clint Capela (if he plays), Carmelo Anthony

Deeper Value: Danuel House, Ben McLemore, Trevor Ariza

GPP Sleeper: Danuel House

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Sacramento Kings

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: EVEN

From the Thunder, Chris Paul continues to be a consistent producer and makes a lot of sense for cash games here, and he’ll go a little overlooked in the late game and I expect him to be back for this game after sitting out last game, likely due to the passing of Kobe Bryant. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is in a great spot here tonight as well and has been playing really well, the Kings play fast and loose which fits his style as well. Steven Adams should be a solid play here as well, as he is pretty cheap and draws a nice matchup against an undersized Kings frontcourt with Richaun Holmes and Marvin Bagley already ruled out. Lastly, Nerlens Noel will be another great value play if Adams ends up sitting again. Dennis Schroder and Danilo Gallinari also makes sense as GPP plays here, but I like Schroder more when Gallo or CP3 are out.

Starting with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox has been tearing it up over the past few games, and while the matchup isn’t great, he should draw some serious usage here with all the injuries the Kings have. Marvin Bagley and Richaun Holmes are out again here which opens the door for Nemanja Bjelica to have a good amount of opportunity here, he crushed last game and draws a decent matchup here, but I’m not expecting another 50 burger. Buddy Hield is playing great basketball as of late and this is the game environment I like targeting him in, fast-paced and little defense, as the Thunder play faster than a lot of people realize. He makes for a great GPP play as he has over a 30% usage rate with all the injuries the Kings have.

5-star play: De’Aaron Fox, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

4-star play: Chris Paul, Dennis Schroder, Buddy Hield, Nemanja Bjelica, Danilo Gallinari

Deeper Value: Nerlens Noel

GPP Sleeper: Dennis Schroder
