Full Court Press:

Sacramento Kings @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

We will kick off tonight’s slate with the Kings traveling to Detroit to take on the Pistons. Starting with the Pistons, the big news is that Andre Drummond is questionable here, if he plays he’s a nice play as he’ll be able to do what he wants down low. If he misses, it will open up a ton of minutes for guys like Christian Wood and Thon Maker, so we will need to keep an eye on this situation as we approach lock. Derrick Rose has scored 40+ Draftkings points in two of his last four games and is really getting the minutes he’s been asking for. The price is higher than I would like but this is a great matchup. Svi Mykhailiuk came back down to Earth last game, he’s a GPP guy only, as he needs to shoot well to be a viable piece. Sekou Doumbouya has two straight stinkers, I don’t mind going right back to him here in GPPs in hopes that he gets in turned around, he’s 19, so lack of consistency isn’t all that shocking. From the Kings, De’Aaron Fox has at least 56 Draftkings points in three of his last five games, but I don’t love the price tag or the matchup. He’s an elite GPP play at the very least. Nemanja Bjelica has at least 35 Draftkings points in five of his last six games and really playing nice minutes, he’s a secondary option. Buddy Hield dropped a 50 burger last game and will have these ceiling games every now and then, I like him as a GPP option as well. Harrison Barnes is a guy that I rarely get to because he has pretty much zero upside. Marvin Bagley is made of paper mache apparently but returned to play a solid 38 minutes last game, he’s too cheap if he’s going to get that kind of run. Lastly, Bogdan Bogdanovic is priced too high for his role right now.

5-star play: Andre Drummond, De’Aaron Fox

4-star play: Derrick Rose, Nemanja Bjelica, Buddy Hield, Marvin Bagley

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Svi Mykhailiuk, Sekou Doumbouya, Bogdan Bogdanovic

Philadelphia 76ers @ Toronto Raptors

Vegas Total: 218.5

Vegas Spread: Tor -6.0

Starting with the Sixers, Ben Simmons is playing huge minutes and coming off his best game of the season in which he scored 84 Draftkings points. I wouldn’t expect that same outcome but if you think he stays hot here, I have no issue going right back to him. Tobias Harris has come back to Earth after his massive game a few games ago, this isn’t the greatest spot now that the Raptors are getting healthy in the frontcourt. He’s averaging 35.4 Draftkings points per game in this matchup this season. Al Horford continues to play consistent basketball, he’s similar to Tobias in that it’s not a great matchup. I would play Horford in cash and Tobias in GPPs. Lastly, Josh Richardson is a secondary cash option on a big slate. From the Raptors, Pascal Siakam saw his minutes come back up last game but still isn’t back to the production point he was before his injury. I still like him at this price, but it’s worth noting and maybe holding out for GPPs. Kyle Lowry currently leads the league in minutes but has seen them come down over the past three games, but I’m relating a lot of those to blowouts, he’s in a good spot here. Serge Ibaka has been held under 27 fantasy points in four straight games and with Siakam and Gasol back he’s not my favorite option. Lastly, Fred VanVleet returned to score 48 and 34 Draftkings points, there isn’t any rust when it comes to him, this is a nice price point for him.

5-star play: Ben Simmons, Pascal Siakam

4-star play: Kyle Lowry, Tobias Harris, Al Horford, Fred VanVleet, Josh Richardson

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Serge Ibaka, Fred VanVleet

Los Angeles Clippers @ Atlanta Hawks

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Clippers, it sounds like Paul George is getting close to returning here, I will operate under the assumption that he is playing. If he is out, be sure to check out the Breaking News Feed for updates. He’s an elite play here as long as he’s not on any kind of minutes limit. Kawhi Leonard has scored 60+ Draftkings points in three of his last four games but his price is representative of George missing. If George plays I don’t think I’ll be playing Leonard at this price tag. The same can be said for Lou Wiliams and Montrezl Harrell, they’re too expensive if George is active here, but you can make a case for GPPs due to an elite matchup with a bad team. From the Hawks, Trae Young struggled in this matchup earlier this season, it’s a tough one for all players as he’ll have to deal with a combination of Beverley and Kawhi defense I would assume. He’s a GPP play at best. John Collins isn’t in the greatest form and this is a pretty bad matchup for him as I would expect either Kawhi or George to guard him. Kevin Huerter’s price has come down to a more playable level, I like him for GPPs here if you land on him. Lastly, Jeff Teague dudded after a nice first game with the Hawks, he can be avoided until further notice.

5-star play: Paul George

4-star play: Kawhi Leonard, Montrezl Harrell, Lou Williams, Trae Young, John Collins

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Kevin Huerter, Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, Kawhi Leonard, Trae Young

Washington Wizards @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Wizards, Bradley Beal has played very limited minutes since returning from injury but was able to get back over 30 last game. I don’t love the matchup with Jimmy Butler on the other end, but he put up 43 Draftkings points in this spot earlier this season so I won’t look too hard into it. With Beal back in, I think Jordan McRae is a bit too expensive and I’ll wait for that price to come down a bit. Troy Brown has seen his minutes and production fluctuate over the past week with this team starting to get healthy, he’s more of a GPP option for me. Ish Smith continues to play well but with Bradley Beal back I would expect his shots and usage to go down, more of a deep GPP option for me. Davis Bertans has seen his minutes increase slowly over his past few games but the production hasn’t caught back up to him yet, he’s a GPP play until he starts to find his groove again. Lastly, Ian Mahinmi has played some pretty good basketball as of late, but I don’t think it’s anything that is sustainable so he’s just a deep GPP option at best. From the Heat, Bam Adebayo has been kind of volatile as of late but has scored 40+ Draftkings points in three of four games and gets an elite matchup against a weak Wizards frontcourt. Jimmy Butler is averaging 54.1 Draftkings points per game in two games against the Wizards this season, he’s a great play here. Justise Winslow didn’t waste any time getting back on the injury report, he’s going to go see a specialist on his back, but will be out for this one. This means a boost for Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn, and Tyler Herro. Dragic and Nunn are GPP options while I’ll likely fade Herro. Duncan Robinson is questionable here and has been playing a ton of minutes, if he is forced to miss we may see some more James Johnson who scored 40 Draftkings points in his last game, making him a very nice GPP option.

5-star play: Bradley Beal, Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo

4-star play: Ish Smith, Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Duncan Robinson, James Johnson, Ish Smith, Davis Bertans

Denver Nuggets @ Houston Rockets

Vegas Total: 228.5

Vegas Spread: Hou -8.0

Starting with the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic is averaging 40.5 Draftkings points per game in two matchups with the Rockets this season. I never love picking on Clint Capela, so he’s a GPP only play for me. Jamal Murray will be out again here and Will Barton has stepped up accordingly in his three games with Murray off the court, I love the matchup as well. He will take on a much bigger role in this offense and is a nice play again here. Monte Morris and Malik Beasley will take over the point guard minutes, they’ve been pretty volatile in their bigger roles, they’re both GPP plays in a good matchup. Michael Porter Jr’s price tag has skyrocketed but for good reason, he’s scored at least 47 Draftkings points in two of his last three games and showing why people were so high on him coming out of college. He will see a minutes bump with Murray off the court as well, but makes for an intriguing GPP fade as they are careful with the youngster’s minutes. From the Rockets, James Harden is really in pretty bad form, he shot 1-17 from three-point range last game… let that sink in. That said, he’s one of the more high upside players in the league, it’s a tough matchup but you can make a case for GPPs. Russell Westbrook has been the guy in better form as he has 60+ Draftkings points in three straight games and is still under $10k. Clint Capela has been fine in two games against Jokic this season, but not someone that I’m prioritizing.

5-star play: James Harden, Russell Westbrook

4-star play: Nikola Jokic, Will Barton, Michael Porter Jr., Clint Capela

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Monte Morris, Malik Beasley

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Orlando Magic

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is in great form here and scored 35.8 Draftkings points in this matchup earlier this season, loving the consistency out of him. Steven Adams is banged up and I really don’t like the matchup as well, he’s a pretty easy fade for me here. Him being out would open up minutes for Nerlens Noel who is also questionable, definitely news to keep an eye on. Chris Paul has scored 46+ Draftkings points in three of his last four games and seems to found his consistency, I don’t love the game flow here but you can make a case for him. Danilo Gallinari makes sense as a secondary play in all formats while Dennis Schroeder is more of a GPP play as he’s not in the best of form. From the Magic, Nikola Vucevic bounced back last game with a nice 46 point outing, however a matchup with Steven Adams is not a good one, I’ll like Vuc much more if Adams is inactive. Markelle Fultz has seen his price come up to a point where I don’t love him in a slow-paced matchup. Lastly, Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier are fine secondary options, but nobody that I’m in love with.

5-star play: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chris Paul

4-star play: Nikola Vucevic, Markelle Fultz, Danilo Gallinari, Nerlens Noel (If Adams is out), Evan Fournier

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Steven Adams, Dennis Schroeder, Aaron Gordon

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Chicago Bulls

Vegas Total: 219

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns played 35 minutes last time out and dropped a 50 burger. It looks like he may be fully back from his injury, he should be able to do what he wants here, this is a nice spot for KAT. Andrew Wiggins finally bounced back with a huge 52 point fantasy night two games ago but came right back down last game, he’s a GPP only option until he finds his consistency. Robert Covington is a nice consistent player at his price tag and makes some sense here. Lastly, both Shabazz Napier and Jarrett Culver will continue to see nice minutes with Teague out of the picture. From the Bulls, Zach LaVine has been playing out of his mind and playing a ton of minutes, this is an elite matchup it’s tough not to like him here. Lauri Markkanen has just felt overpriced over the past few weeks, he’s a deep GPP play at best due to his recent form. Lastly, Tomas Satoransky, Kris Dunn, and Thaddeus Young make sense as deep GPP options if you want to get more exposure to this game. Luke Kornet also makes sense as he’ll likely get a lot of the center minutes here.

5-star play: Zach LaVine, Karl-Anthony Towns

4-star play: Tomas Satoransky, Kris Dunn, Thaddeus Young, Shabazz Napier, Andrew Wiggins, Robert Covington

Deeper Value: George Hill

GPP Sleeper: Kris Dunn, Coby White, Luke Kornet, Jarrett Culver

Los Angeles Lakers @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 224

Vegas Spread: Lal -11.5

Starting with the Knicks, Julius Randle gets a revenge game against his old team, however, his old team has been hell on opposing big men this season with Anthony Davis guarding the hoop. Randle scored 35 Draftkings points in this matchup earlier this year, he’s GPP only due to the matchup. RJ Barrett has been ruled out for this game, below are the guys who benefit most from his injury…

  • Julius Randle – 27.7% usage rate; 1.21 fantasy points per minute
  • Marcus Morris – 26.1% usage rate; 1.01 fantasy points per minute

There isn’t a huge sample size on him being out so we will need to keep an eye on this team for future games as it sounds like he’ll miss more than a few games. The biggest benefactor in the backcourt to me would be Elfrid Payton who will take a lot more of the ball-handling duties.

From the Lakers. Anthony Davis is probable for tonight’s game which is certainly better than questionable. That said, he came into the last game with a minute restriction, so be on the lookout for something similar here, I can’t imagine they want to push him in a game they should win fairly easily. LeBron James scored 51.8 Draftkings points in this spot last time these two played, I like him again here but don’t think he’s my favorite superstar on this slate due to the likely blowout. Kyle Kuzma isn’t in play for me with AD back on a big slate. Both Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee are in pretty good form and make sense as decent GPP options.

5-star play: LeBron James

4-star play: Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard, Julius Randle, Elfrid Payton, Marcus Morris

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Mitchell Robinson, JaVale McGee, Dwight Howard

Memphis Grizzlies @ Boston Celtics

Vegas Total: 233

Vegas Spread: Bos -6.5

Starting with the Grizzlies, Ja Morant has looked incredible over his past week or so. He’s also priced down for a tougher matchup against the Celtics, I like the upside here for GPPs. Jonas Valanciunas should be able to do whatever he wants against this undersized Celtics frontcourt, I love him for GPPs at a very good price tag. Lastly, Jaren Jackson and Dillion Brooks make sense as secondary plays. The Celtics are pretty banged up but seem to be getting healthier as Kemba Walker is probable and Jaylen Brown is questionable here, but we will operate under the assumption that they play for the sake of this article. They both make for great plays as the Grizzlies are one of the fastest teams in the league and are really pretty loose on defense. Jayson Tatum has at least 42 Draftkings points in two straight games, I never LOVE going to him because he seems to let me down more times than not, but you can make a case for him here. Marcus Smart followed up his career game with a pretty average game, he’s a gpp option along with Gordon Hayward here.

5-star play: Ja Morant, Kemba Walker

4-star play: Jonas Valanciunas, Jaren Jackson, Dillion Brooks, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Jonas Valanciunas, Jaren Jackson, Jayson Tatum, Marcus Smart, Gordon Hayward

Indiana Pacers @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total: 221.5

Vegas Spread: Ind -1.0

Starting with the Pacers, this is a pretty nice matchup for Domantas Sabonis after coming off of one of the worst in the league against Rudy Gobert. I think you can go right back to the well on him hoping the public buys into his recent game log.  Malcolm Brogdon also had a dud last game but I’m willing to just throw that game out, especially when he gets a nice matchup against the Suns here. TJ Warren gets a nice little revenge game against his old team, as usual, he’s a GPP option for me as he can get hot any night. Myles Turner held his own against Gobert last game and I like his chances of doing the same here. From the Suns, Devin Booker followed up his massive 69 point outing nicely with a 52.75 Draftkings point game. The Pacers aren’t the greatest matchup but he’s matchup proof for GPPs. Ricky Rubio draws the same difficult matchup but isn’t quite as matchup-proof, he’s a fine GPP option if you land here. DeAndre Ayton has 48+ Draftkings points in three straight games, I like him again here for cash as he’s proven consistency. Kelly Oubre returned last game and played 38 minutes, I’ll have at least a little interest in anyone playing that kind of minutes.

5-star play: Domantas Sabonis, Malcolm Brogdon, Devin Booker

4-star play: TJ Warren, Myles Turner, Ricky Rubio, Kelly Oubre, DeAndre Ayton

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: TJ Warren, Myles Turner

San Antonio Spurs @ New Orleans Pelicans

Vegas Total: 236

Vegas Spread: NO -3.5

Starting with the Spurs, DeMar DeRozan is on a tear right now and in a great matchup, he’s an elite play in all formats. LaMarcus Aldridge has bounced back a bit and has scored 35+ Draftkings points in three straight games. Dejounte Murray is a nice play as well in a pace up matchup as the Pels have struggled to guard opposing point guards all season long. From the Pelicans, the big news here is that Zion Williamson is expected to make his debut. He’s priced down on both sites but I don’t think we’ll see him get a full complement of minutes in his first game, but if we don’t hear anything on it before lock… do I hesitate to just say fire him up? The Spurs are one of the worst teams in the league against opposing point guards which makes both Jrue Holiday and Lonzo Ball very playable here. Brandon Ingram has flashed huge upside and nice consistency this season making him a viable play in all formats as well.

5-star play: DeMar DeRozan, Zion Williamson (if no minutes limit), Lonzo Ball

4-star play: LaMarcus Aldridge, Dejounte Murray, Jrue Holiday, Brandon Ingram

Deeper Value: Derrick White

GPP Sleeper: Dejounte Murray, JJ Redick, Josh Hart

Utah Jazz @ Golden State Warriors

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

This might be my least favorite game on the slate simply because the Jazz are so much better than the Warriors and predicting a blowout is never something I like doing… but. Starting with the Warriors, D’Angelo Russell has at least 50 Draftkings points in two straight games, you can make a case for him in GPPs if you really want to. Damion Lee isn’t in great form, the price just doesn’t warrant where he is right now. I do like the price on Draymond Green however, he is always a triple-double threat. Lastly, Alec Burks is a fine GPP option, but nothing that I really love from him although he is coming off a career game against the Blazers. From the Jazz, Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell are both great plays here as they should be able to do what they want, but neither are guys that I’m prioritizing on this massive slate. Both Bojan Bogdanovic and Joe Ingles are secondary GPP options in a good matchup while Mike Conley should begin to see his minutes trending up but is a fade for now.

5-star play: D’Angelo Russell, Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert

4-star play: Draymond Green, Alec Burks, Bojan Bogdanovic, Joe Ingles

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Damion Lee, Alec Burks, Willie Cauley-Stein
