NFL Top Onslaught Stacks for Fanduel and Draftkings Week 14

Welcome back to the NFL TOP ONSLAUGHT STACKS article here at DFS Army. Each week I will dive into a few teams that I think will be some of the best stacks of the week. My goal here will be to narrow down the list of teams I feel we can use and gain an edge vs the field in Large Field Tournaments. Lesser versions of these stacks can easily be used in single entry tourneys, small league play, and even hybrid lineups in head-to-head competitions as well. My hope is that we can have the same success here, with the NFL TOP STACKS article, that we had all season in MLB with the MLB TOP STACKS article.

If you have any questions hit me up in the DFS Army VIP chat shoot me a DM @CeeGee and we can chat one-on-one about your process.  If you prefer, I’m also easy to find on Twitter.

I appreciate you taking time out of your day to check out the article 🤟❤💯

What Is an “Onslaught Stack?”

If you have read our tournament strategy pieces this year, NFL Shark Autopsy Report and NFL Showdown Breakdown, you are already aware that we have reverse-engineered the Milly Maker and many of the single-game Showdowns going back several years in search of winning trends. If you haven’t read these two articles, I highly suggest you check them out.

A few interesting tidbits stood out in our research.

☑ Game Stacking Mattered – any combination of a QB with his same team, then coupled with a skill player on the opposing team

☑☑ Casual Players Don’t Stack Enough – Most of us know about stacking a QB/WR combo, but people still aren’t doing it frequently enough across all entries of tournament play.  We still have a leveraged edge by using even a small stack of some sort.

☑☑☑ Secondary Stacks Yield Even Better Finishes – The common combo of QB/WR + Opposing WR can be coupled with a completely different game stack, or secondary stack, from a different game altogether. Perhaps the second game’s RB on the favored team + WR on the underdog.  Secondary stacks serve to differentiate your lineup further while still focusing on correlation and leveraging fantasy production.

When it comes to stacking your lineups, we also found a lot of room to exploit the competition by going WAY Overboard.  We don’t need to simply use a QB/WR combo + an opposing WR.  We can ramp it up more!  QB/WR/TE + opposing WR/WR is an example of a 3+2 “onslaught stack.”  We can run 4+2, or 2+2, or even 3+1… literally anything that has more than 3 total players from a game can be called an “Onslaught Stack.”  And, these onslaughts are proving to capitalize on extreme leverage.  The casual and even intermediate player just doesn’t go that overboard in games that will possibly shoot out on both sides.  THIS IS OUR EDGE!!!  When people back off, we step on the gas!

Caveat – Now, onslaughts still don’t pan out with great frequency.  You are simply taking advantage of the times they do pan out.  You have the uniqueness and access to the points that drive you well into the top 0.1% of the payouts (where the money starts to happen).  The goal is not to finish with a 2x or 3x multiplier to our money.  The goal is to finish with 20x or 100x or more.  Onslaughts definitely do that for you.  But, they still shouldn’t be 50% of what you do in your MME or multi-entering structures.  Keep it toned down some.  But, plan to use them at least some when opportunity arises.

Operation Onslaught NFL Top Stacks Week 14

The highest team totals this week belong to the Vikings, 28.25 vs the Lions, the Packers 27.25 vs the Redskins and the Texans, 26.25 vs the Broncos. You could conceivably stack up each of these 3 teams if you think they are going to reach their point totals, the problem is the spreads in these games are rather large so it may be tough to “bring back” your stack with someone from the other side.

This is just a simple table I set up to quickly view how many Fantasy Points each team allows to each position. A chart like this give us a very vague picture of each teams’ Defense, but, it helps me narrow down some of my favorite stacks each week. As a quick example, above you see the Cardinals are the worst team in the league against QBs, allowing the most fantasy points per game at 24.62. This week however they take on the Steelers and 3rd string QB Devin Hodgers so I’m not sure if we can truly take advantage of that, but, it’s still good info to know.

Panthers @ Falcons 47 total ATL -3

ATL 30th vs QB

ATL 25th vs WR

CAR 32nd vs RB

The Falcons rank 30th in the league vs QB’s allowing 21.62 fantasy points per game. Panthers QB Kyle Allen is coming off two very good games against the Redskins and on the road against the Saints. He threw for 278 yards and 2 TD vs the Skins and 256 yards and 3 TD vs the Saints, which was good enough for 25.32 and 23.14 fantasy points. This is a good spot for him here, in a Dome against an awful Defense in Atlanta

The obvious pairing with Kyle Allen is going to be WR DJ Moore who has been a target MONSTER for this team all year. Over his last 5 games, he has seen target totals of 12, 9, 15, 11, 10 and he has 6 rec and at least 75 yards in all of those games. I expect another big game from him here this week. Another play we can obviously include in our Panthers stack is Christian McCaffrey. We know he’s a beast on the Ground but the Passing game is what we want to attack and he’s heavily involved each week. In his last 3 games, he has target totals of 13, 9 and 14.

On the Falcons side of the ball, the most obvious “bring back” option here is going to be Devonta Freeman. As you can see from my chart above, the Panthers rank 32nd in the league vs Running Backs, so, it would make a lot of sense to run this Panthers 3man stack back with Freeman. If you’re looking for a 2nd Falcon, they have plenty of options to choose from. Obviously, Julio Jones is the highest projected, but, Calvin Ridley and Austin Hooper make fine options as well. You’ll just have to see how the rest of your lineup shakes out to see who you can afford

1) CAR3-ATL2
CAR: Allen, CMC, Moore
ATL: bring back with Freman, and one of Julio, Ridley, Hooper

2) ATL3-CAR2
ATL: Ryan, Freem, one of Julio, Ridley, Hooper
CAR: bring back with CMC and Moore

In Week 9 I used a SEA+TB 3+1 Onslaught Stack along with 2 secondary stacks, Bell+Williams from the NYJ/MIA game, and a very common RB+DEF stack with CMC and Carolina Defense to round out the lineup.

Colts @ Buccaneers 47.5 total TB -3

Bucs 32nd vs WR

Bucs 32nd vs TE

Colts 19th vs WR

The Bucs have been getting lit up all year by WR and TE as they currently rank 32nd and 31st in the league against them. The Colts don’t have a terribly explosive Offense, but, I believe they can put up some points this week against the pass funnel defense of the Bucs. Jacoby Brissett has not had a huge passing game since his matchup vs the Texans several weeks back. Since then the Colts have really been leaning on their ground game to grind out wins, but, I don’t expect them to be able to do much on the ground this week against a tough Tampa run defense. The Bucs rank 2nd in the league only allowing 11.35 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. If the Colts are going to score they are going to do it through the air.

The Colts offense centered around TE Jack Doyle (11 targets) and WR Zach Pascal (10 targets) last week with TY Hilton is out. If Hilton is out again this week, I’ll go right back to those two. If Hilton is back, I’ll have plenty of him in this matchup, and it will drop the ownership numbers for Paschal who would become an elite GPP play for me.

On the Bucs side of the ball, we see the Colts have a solid defense, ranking 19th in the league vs WR and ranking 12th in the league vs QBs. That being said, I don’t think you can ignore the other side of this one here as the Bucs have shown plenty of upside all year long (just as BobbyWow how he feels about Mike Evans). Chris Godwin and Mike Evans account for nearly 50% of all the targets on the Bucs offense, so, running your Colts stack back with one or, or both of them makes perfect sense here. Breshad Perriman could be an option as well, if you can’t afford both Evans and Godwin

1) IND3-TB2
IND: Brissett, Paschal, Doyle (if Hilton plays he’s my #1)
TB: bring back with Evans, Godwin (mix in Perriman if you need salary)

2) TB3-IND2
TB: Winston, Evans, Godwin (mix in Perriman if you need salary)
IND: Paschal, Doyle (if Hilton plays he is my #1)

LET’S GET SILLY IN THE MILLY!!!

Dolphins @ Jets 45.5 total NYJ -5.5

The Dolphins rank 31st vs QB, 29th vs RB, 29th vs WR and despite all that the Jets are only 5.5 point favorites here. I love the Jets stack as a sneaky Milly Maker stack and for me I’m all over Sam Darnold, Jamison Crowder, Robby Anderson, and Le’Veon Bell this week. Bringing it back with Devonte Parker, who has seen 10+ targets in 4 straight games seems to make a lot of sense here as well. If you wan to add a 2nd Dolphin, look at TE Mike Gesicki who has seen target totals of 6,6,7,7 the last four weeks.

1) NYJ3-MIA2
NYJ: Darnold, Crowder, Anderson (mix in Lev Bell too)
MIA: bring back with Parker, Gesicki

2) MIA3-NYJ3
MIA: Fitzpatrick, Parker, Gesicki
NYJ: Crowder, Anderson (mix in Lev Bell too)
