NBA Full Court Press Breakdown, Advice, and Picks for FanDuel and Draftkings – Nov. 7th, 2019

Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides, that said, we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Michael aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Before I get started, make sure to check out the latest new DFS website. SuperDraft is an innovative new DFS site that does not have salaries but instead uses a multiplier system and better yet, THEY HAVE LATE SWAP! Check out more on how it works below!

Full Court Press:

Boston Celtics @ Charlotte Hornets

Vegas Total: 218

Vegas Spread: Bos -6.5

Starting with the Celtics, Kemba Walker (PG) has gone over 40 Draftkings points in each game after putting up a dud in the opener. He gets a #RevengeGame against his old team that has not been good defensively, this is a great spot for him. Jaylen Brown (SG) is expected to return here so we can expect Gordon Hayward (SF) and Jayson Tatum (PF) to lose a little usage. That said, Hayward is starting to look like his old self this season and all these guys draw great matchups. Marcus Smart (SG) sees the biggest downgrade with Brown back in my opinion, but this is just because he’s priced as if Brown is out. The big man situation is a little hectic at the moment with Enes Kanter (C) questionable and both Daniel Theis (C) and Robert Williams (C) listed as probable. If Kanter is out again, we can go right back to Theis in a strong matchup.

From the Hornets, Terry Rozier (PG) feels like the type of guy that would get up for a revenge game against his old team. He’s been playing near 40 minutes per game over his last five or so games, I like him here especially for GPPs. Devonte’ Graham (PG) is having one heck of a season and is coming off a huge 56 point Draftking night, I expect he draws some ownership because of this and it really isn’t a great matchup, so I may hold him for GPPs. PJ Washington (F) is expected to play here but has only gone over 30 Draftkings points once in his past six games, I’ll wait for his price to come down a bit. Cody Zeller (C) has come back down to Earth after opening the season on a tear, I don’t mind him here as a mid-range option.

5-star plays: Kemba Walker (PG), Gordon Hayward (SF)

4-star plays: Terry Rozier (PG), Jayson Tatum (PF), Devonte’ Graham (PG), Jaylen Brown (SG)

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Terry Rozier (PG), Devonte’ Graham (PG), PJ Washington (F), Dwayne Bacon (SF)

Oklahoma City Thunder @ San Antonio Spurs

Vegas Total: 215.5

Vegas Spread: SA -4.5

Starting with the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (PG) continues to be my favorite DFS play on this team simply due to his consistency and ability to stuff the stat sheet. He has a 25.6% usage rate on the season and feels a bit underpriced for me. Chris Paul (PG) seems like he has started to figure it out, going for at least 35 Draftkings points in each of his last three games. Danilo Gallinari (SF) just isn’t doing it for me and feels too expensive, I’ll wait for his price to come down or production to go up. This is a tough matchup for Steven Adams (C) as the Spurs rank second in defense against opposing big men. Finally, Dennis Schroeder (PG) is a GPP play due to the volatility that comes with him.

From the Spurs, Dejounte Murray continues to lead the team in points per minute at 1.48. I wish he played more minutes but is a GPP play nonetheless. DeMar DeRozan (SG) and LaMarcus Aldridge (PF) are really the guys you want on this team. They are the most consistent options with the most upside, both are very solid. Rudy Gay (SF) is never really a guy I seak out to play, but a guy that I won’t talk you off of if you land on him to finish out your lineup. Derrick White (PG) is currently questionable if he is out Bryn Forbes (PG) and Patty Mills (PG) will see a bump and maybe a few more minutes for Murray.

5-star play: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (PG), DeMar DeRozan (SG), LaMarcus Aldridge (PF)

4-star play: Chris Paul (PG), Rudy Gay (SF)

Deeper Value: Patty Mills (PG)

GPP Sleeper: Dennis Schroeder (PG), Danilo Gallinari (SF)

Miami Heat @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total: 218

Vegas Spread: Pho -1.5

Starting with the Heat, Jimmy Butler (SG) is who the offense will run through for the Heat here and makes for a solid play against a poor Suns D. However, I think Bam Adebayo (C) is my favorite play on this team as the Suns rank dead last in defense against opposing centers. Tyler Herro (SG), Goran Dragic (PG), and Kendrick Nunn (SG) all feel relatively similar to me in that they’re more GPP options than anything, my favorite of the three would be Nunn. You can probably throw Justise Winslow (PG) into that category as well.

From the Suns, Devin Booker (SG) has a 27.8% usage rate on the season but will likely draw Jimmy Butler defense which is less than ideal. Ricky Rubio (PG) has scored at least 30 Draftkings points in every game this season and has been very consistent, he makes a lot of sense for cash games. Kelly Oubre (SF) has taken a step back after starting the season off on a heater, that said I think he makes sense as a GPP play here. Aron Baynes (C) has been crushing as a fill-in for DeAndre Ayton and makes sense as a solid play in all formats. Dario Saric (PF) and Frank Kaminsky (PF) are both GPP guys who will get minutes around 25 as well.

5-star play: Jimmy Butler (SG), Bam Adebayo (C)

4-star play: Ricky Rubio (PG), Kelly Oubre (SF), Aron Baynes (C)

Deeper Value: Dario Saric (PF), Frank Kaminsky (PF)

GPP Sleeper: Tyler Herro (SG), Goran Dragic (PG), Kendrick Nunn (SG), Devin Booker (SG),

Portland Trail Blazers @ Los Angeles Clippers

Vegas Total: 225.5

Vegas Spread: Lac -5.5

Starting with the Blazers, Damian Lillard (PG) has a 29% usage rate on the season but will draw Patrick Beverley on defense. Lillard shows up for these type of big games and I love him at this price in a game with the highest implied total on the slate. Hassan Whiteside (C) returned last game and continues to perform well, he shouldn’t have any issue with this undersized frontcourt from the Clippers. CJ McCollum (SG) is never really a guy that I get to, but considering the pace of this one, he’s certainly in play.

Given that the Clippers are favored here I would expect that Kawhi Leonard (SF) plays here after sitting last night with a “knee injury” cough … rest… cough. He’s an elite play here given his price tag. Both Lou Williams (SG) and Montrezl Harrell (C) have proven to be big pieces off the bench and are nice plays on this slate. Patrick Beverley (PG) is similar to Dame in that he brings extra attitude when his competition is as high as Lillard, I like him here. Landry Shamet (SG), Ivica Zubac (C) and JaMychal Green (PF) all make sense as GPP plays.

5-star play: Damian Lillard (PG), Kawhi Leonard (SF)

4-star play: Hassan Whiteside (C), Montrezl Harrell (C), Lou Williams (SG), CJ McCollum (SG), Patrick Beverley (PG)

Deeper Value: JaMychal Green (C), Landry Shamet (SG)

GPP Sleeper: Landry Shamet (SG), Ivica Zubac (C) and JaMychal Green (PF)
