Full Court Press:

Chicago Bulls @ Indiana Pacers

Vegas Total: 215

Vegas Spread: Ind -2.5

We will start this NBA Sunday off with the Chicago Bulls, as I’ve been saying all season, Lauri Markkanen and Zach LaVine will continue to be priced similar because they are performing similarly. Going forward I’m simply going to play whichever one has the better matchup until one pulls away from the other, that guy today is Markkanen as the Pacers rank 24th in defense against opposing power forwards. Wendell Carter has been playing well and is getting right around 30 minutes per game, with Myles Turner out this isn’t the worst spot for him. Otto Porter is coming off his best game of the season after going for 38 Draftkings points, he makes for a nice mid-range play on the showdown slate. From the Pacers, Malcolm Brogdon continues to dominate and would be my favorite captain play on this slate, he’s averaging 50 Draftkings points per game this season and gets a Bulls defense that doesn’t play a lot of defense. Domantas Sabonis should continue to play well with Turner out, he’s gone over 40 Draftkings points in his past three games. Jeremy Lamb has a nice 25% usage rate on the season and makes for a nice GPP play. Finally, TJ Warren is just too volatile for me to want to confidently target here.

5-star plays: Lauri Markkanen, Malcolm Brogdon, Domantas Sabonis

4-star plays: Zach LaVine, Jeremy Lamb, Wendell Carter, Otto Porter

Deeper Value: TJ Leaf

GPP Sleeper: TJ Warren

Houston Rockets @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total: 233.5

Vegas Spread: Hou -3.0

It’s starting to look like we will want to target any game the Rockets are in because they will bring a high game total with them and a terrible defense. This team runs through Russell Westbrook and James Harden who have completely different usage rights, Harden is at 38% while Russ is at 26%. That said, Westbrook has been the better fantasy producer and is MUCH cheaper. I like them both in this spot, but if deciding on one, give me Westbrook for cash and Harden for GPP. Clint Capela is coming off a bad game against the Nets in which he only played 20 minutes, I don’t hate this as a bounce-back spot. PJ Tucker has played very consistent minutes and put up nice fantasy production all season, he makes sense as a cash play here as well. It seems as if Danuel House has overtaken Eric Gordon, at least from a production standpoint. At a very similar price, give me House over Gordon all day. From the Heat, Jimmy Butler is questionable for this game so be sure to keep an eye on the Breaking News Tab for updates on him. For the purpose of this article, I’ll operate under the assumption that he is in. He’s played well in his two games this season and is actually lighting it up in the blocks and steals department, that said, there should be a ton of steal opportunities here as Harden and Westbrook can be a little careless with the ball. Bam Adebayo continues to perform well, I don’t love the matchup with Capela, but he’s a solid option night in and night out. Justise Winslow is also questionable here, again we’ll say he’s in, but keep an eye on it. Jimmy Butler takes a lot of the ball-handling from him, so until his price comes down I may fade him. Kendrick Nunn continues to play well and is simply too cheap right now, continue to play him with confidence. Tyler Herro and Goran Dragic are GPP plays for me, you can make a case for Herro in cash.

5-star play: James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Jimmy Butler

4-star play: Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, Clint Capela, Danuel House, PJ Tucker

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: James Harden, Goran Dragic

Sacramento Kings @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 215

Vegas Spread: Sac -1.5

These are two of the worst teams in the league, but we should be able to find some solid DFS plays because of how bad they are defensively. Starting with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox now has at least 37 Draftkings points in three straight games and gets a nice matchup here, that said, I just can’t play him at this price in cash games. This feels like a great Buddy Hield spot and he makes for an elite GPP play. Richaun Holmes has played well in his fill-in role for Marvin Bagley. This is a nice spot for him as well and has a 1.11 fantasy point per minute on the season. Harrison Barnes has finally started to pick it up a little bit, but I just don’t see a ceiling for him and the floor is very low. Nemanja Bjelica makes sense as a value play if you need one as well. From the Knicks, I love this spot for Julius Randle, he continues to play huge minutes and has a 24% usage rate on the season, he should be able to do whatever he wants against this defense. RJ Barrett is consistently getting minutes around the 40’s, this is a great spot for him as well especially for GPPs. Bobby Portis is a GPP play simply because his minutes are anything but safe. The same can be said for Mitchell Robinson and Kevin Knox. Marcus Morris is coming off a huge game last time out and makes sense as a cash play.

5-star play: Julius Randle, RJ Barrett

4-star play: De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, Richuan Holmes, Marcus Morris

Deeper Value: Kevin Knox, Nemanja Bjelica

GPP Sleeper: Mitchell Robinson, Bobby Portis, Buddy Hield, De’Aaron Fox, Kevin Knox

Los Angeles Lakers @ San Antonio Spurs

Vegas Total: 217.5

Vegas Spread: LAL -1.5

So we know who this Lakers team is going to run through and that is LeBron James and Anthony Davis. At least one of these guys is going to have a massive night every single night, trying to predict who that will be will be very difficult. Last game it was LeBron who went for a season-high 92 Draftkings points, but I would say more often than not, AD has the higher ceiling as weird as that sounds. Regardless, they are both great plays here, play whichever one you like more tonight or whoever fits your build better. The rest of this team is strictly GPP plays for me with my favorites being Dwight Howard and Avery Bradley. From the Spurs, DeJounte Murray actually leads this team in fantasy points per game at 35.6. He has a massive 1.58 fantasy points per minute I like him a lot at this price tag in hopes that he can start getting near that 30-minute mark. The Spurs will need LaMarcus Aldridge’s size in this one, but its a very difficult matchup against AD. DeMar DeRozan will need to pick up the slack here and is a nice play on this slate.

5-star play: LeBron James, Anthony Davis, DeMar DeRozan

4-star play: DeJounte Murray, LaMarcus Aldridge

Deeper Value: Avery Bradley

GPP Sleeper: Dwight Howard, Avery Bradley

Dallas Mavericks @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Vegas Total: 215

Vegas Spread: Dal -5.5

Starting with the Mavs, this is an elite spot for both Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. Luka is coming off of a massive 75 point Draftkings night but left that game a little injured, he’s considered questionable for today’s slate so keep an eye out for that news. The minutes limit has been lifted from Porzingis meaning we can use him with confidence here, I like him quite a bit. Delon Wright and Maxi Kleber make for nice secondary plays as well on the cheap, Wright would be almost a lock should Doncic sit. From the Cavaliers, it’s really just Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson for me, for cash purposes at least. Love is starting to look like Kevin Love again and has gone for at least 50 Draftkings points in three of his last four games. While Tristan Thompson continues to be a double-double machine, you can play both here with confidence. This team is loaded with uncertainty at the guard position which makes them more GPP plays than anything with guys like Collin Sexton, Darius Garland, and Jordan Clarkson.

5-star play: Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis, Kevin Love

4-star play: Tristan Thompson

Deeper Value: Maxi Kleber, Darius Garland, Jordan Clarkson

GPP Sleeper:Collin Sexton, Darius Garland, and Jordan Clarkson

Utah Jazz @ Los Angeles Clippers

Vegas Total: 212.5

Vegas Spread: Lac -4.0

This is probably my least favorite game on the slate and has the lowest implied total as well. Both teams play great defense so finding solid fantasy options could prove to be difficult. From the Jazz, Rudy Gobert has the best matchup but has been a rollercoaster all season, he’s a GPP play at best for me. Donovan Mitchell leads this team in usage at 28.5%, but I would expect him to get the Kawhi treatment, so again just GPPs for me. Mike Conley is finally starting to play well but gets a tough assignment with Patrick Beverley defense, yet another GPP play. Bojan Bogdanovic actually makes a lot of sense here and is far too cheap for the production he’s putting up, I don’t mind him as a lineup filler for cash games. from the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard has a huge 39% usage rate and is an elite play no matter the matchup and is way underpriced here. Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell are fine options, but I can just find some better plays on this slate, strictly GPP for me. Patrick Beverley is priced at a point where he can be considered as a value option. Landry Shamet and Ivica Zubac are fine GPP values as well.

5-star play: Kawhi Leonard

4-star play: Rudy Gobert, Montrezl Harrell, Bojan Bogdanovic, Mike Conley

Deeper Value: Landry Shamet, Ivica Zubac, Patrick Beverley

GPP Sleeper: Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell
