NBA Full Court Press Breakdown, Advice, and Picks for FanDuel and Draftkings – Nov. 13th, 2019

Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides, that said, we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Michael aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Before I get started, make sure to check out the latest new DFS website. SuperDraft is an innovative new DFS site that does not have salaries but instead uses a multiplier system and better yet, THEY HAVE LATE SWAP! Check out more on how it works below!

Full Court Press:

Memphis Grizzlies @ Charlotte Hornets

Vegas Total: 220

Vegas Spread: Cha -1.5

This game will be one of the faster ones on the slate as the Hornets want to run and gun and the new-look Grizzlies do as well. Starting with the Grizzlies, Ja Morant has two stinkers over his past two games but has nearly a 30% usage rate on the season. I wish he was a little cheaper but in a fast-paced game, he makes sense. Jonas Valanciunas should play around 27-30 minutes here and has been elite from a per-minute basis on the season, I don’t see the Hornets putting up much of a defense on him. Brandon Clarke and Jae Crowder are both secondary GPP plays, while Jaren Jackson Jr. has had two straight great games and is far too cheap if he’s going to perform like that, he’s an elite GPP play. From the Hornets, Devonte’ Graham is having an incredible season and I like him here in a pace-up spot. Terry Rozier is playing second fiddle to Graham this season and has seen his Draftkings price come all the way down to $5.6k, he’s more of a GPP play than anything but wanted to bring him up here. Cody Zeller and PJ Washington’s size will be needed to guard Jonas Valanciunas and are finally priced where we can get some value on them.

5-star plays: Devonte’ Graham, Jaren Jackson (GPP)

4-star plays: Ja Morant, Jonas Valanciunas, Jaren Jackson (Cash), Cody Zeller, PJ Washington

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Jaren Jackson, Terry Rozier

Philadelphia 76ers @ Orlando Magic

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ben Simmons rested here for the Sixers on the back end of a back-to-back after returning from injury. However, that is just reckless speculation so keep an eye on that Breaking News Tab for updates before lock. Starting with the 76ers, this is a massive pace down spot for them and I have really been fading a lot of the Magic games this season because they play so slow and play pretty decent defense. That said, you can always make a case for guys like Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, and Ben Simmons while guys like Al Horford and Josh Richardson are more secondary GPP plays. The same can be said for the Magic side, Nikola Vucevic is the guy you want on this team as he has gone over 48 Draftkings points in each of his last three games. This is a difficult matchup for the Magic as well as the Sixers are incredibly long on defense if you want exposure to this game you can make a case for Jonathan Isaac and Aaron Gordon but I don’t love either of them.

5-star play: Joel Embiid, Nikola Vucevic

4-star play: Tobias Harris, Ben Simmons, Jonathan Isaac

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Aaron Gordon, Al Horford, Josh Richardson

Los Angeles Clippers @ Houston Rockets

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

This game should be a lot of fun and could be a Western Conference Final preview. That said, the Rockets play very little defense so any game they are a part of stands out to me and will have a high total going in. Starting with the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard is an elite play as usual as he is rocking nearly a 37% usage rate on the season and is still too cheap here. That said, we do need to keep an eye on the availability of Paul George as it sounds like he could be in for a return here if he plays he will likely be limited but still noteworthy. Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell are elite GPP plays coming off the bench here and you can also make a case for Patrick Beverley as he should be able to rack up some very nice peripheral stats in this one. From the Rockets, it’s the James Harden show right now as he has a 39.5% usage rate on the season and has at least 60 Draftkings points in each of his last four games. Russell Westbrook doesn’t have quite the usage rate of Harden but still very solid at 29%. At under $9k on Draftkings and under $10k on FanDuel, he makes a lot of sense here. Clint Capela is a solid play in all formats as well and Danuel House and PJ Tucker can be lumped together as nice secondary plays to round out a roster.

5-star play: Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, Russell Westbrook

4-star play: Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, Clint Capela

Deeper Value: Danuel House, PJ Tucker

GPP Sleeper: Danuel House, PJ Tucker, Ivica Zubac

Washington Wizards @ Boston Celtics

Vegas Total: 227

Vegas Spread: Bos -9.0

Starting with the Wizards, Bradley Beal has a 32% usage rate on the season and is the guy for me on this team. Thomas Bryant’s price has come down a bit and makes sense as a GPP play here. The guy I think that is very sneaky here is Isaiah Thomas who gets to return to Boston and should draw the start. I would think he jacks up a ton of shots in this one and is an elite GPP play with his 25% usage rate. Rui Hachimura and Mo Wagner make sense as deep value GPP options as well. From the Celtics, this is an elite spot for most everyone on this team as the Wizards are one of the worst defensive teams in the league. Kemba Walker continues to produce and is probably too cheap here. Jayson Tatum struggled in the first game without Gordon Hayward, but I would expect a nice bounceback here. Marcus Smart drew the start for Hayward and has dropped at least 30 Draftkings points in two straight. Finally, Jaylen Brown is on a heater and has scored 45+ Draftkings points in two straight games and going back to him in hopes he can keep it going makes a lot of sense here.

5-star play: Bradley Beal, Isaiah Thomas (GPP), Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum

4-star play: Isaiah Thomas (Cash), Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown,

Deeper Value: Mo Wagner

GPP Sleeper: Rui Hachimura, Mo Wagner, Enes Kanter

San Antonio Spurs @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Vegas Total: 228.5

Vegas Spread: Min -2.0

Starting with the Spurs, DeMar DeRozan continues to get around 30-40 Draftkings points and just feels like he’s priced where he needs to be, but the upside does feel like its there in a matchup against a bad Twolves defense. LaMarcus Aldridge still feels like he’s underpriced particularly on Draftkings. The matchup with KAT doesn’t scare me one bit, I like going back to the well again. Dejounte Murray’s per-minute production has come down over the past three games, that said I still like this matchup for him and the price has gone down. Rudy Gay and Derrick White make for fine end of your roster plays, while Bryn Forbes and Trey Lyles are solid values. From the Twolves, Karl-Anthony Towns’ price has come down yet again and I’ll go right back to the well and ride his 27% usage rate to victory. Andrew Wiggins has been ELITE with Teague out, if Teague misses again here I will be all over him, however if he’s back, I may completely jump off due to the amount he’ll have the ball in his hands.

5-star play: DeMar DeRozan, LaMarcus Aldridge, Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins (If Teague is out)

4-star play: Dejounte Murray, Rudy Gay, Derrick White, Robert Covington

Deeper Value: Jarrett Culver (If no Teague), Bryn Forbes, Trey Lyles

GPP Sleeper: Derrick White, Trey Lyles

Toronto Raptors @ Portland Trailblazers

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Raptors, I’m going to continue to go back to Pascal Siakam here, he’s playing right around 40 minutes per game and has a 29% usage rate with Ibaka and Lowry off the court. Fred VanVleet has also proven himself as a very consistent option with these guys off the court as well. I really never play Marc Gasol, but I guess I won’t talk you off of him here against Hassan Whiteside. We can also fire up Norman Powell, Chris Boucher, and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson with OG Anunoby also out along with Lowry and Ibaka. From the Trailblazers, Damian Lillard continues to play well and is still too cheap in my opinion. Hassan Whiteside had a bit of a rough night and I don’t expect this to be much better as Gasol and Siakam play great defense. CJ McCollum is one of those guys that I really never get to but I’ll never talk you off of him if you want to go there in GPPs. Keep an eye on Rodney Hood, if he is out again, I would expect Kent Bazemore to get the start and would become a nice value play as well.

5-star play: Pascal Siakam, Damian Lillard

4-star play: Fred VanVleet, CJ McCollum, Norman Powell, Chris Boucher, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson

Deeper Value: Norman Powell, Chris Boucher, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson

GPP Sleeper: CJ McCollum, Marc Gasol

Golden State Warriors @ Los Angeles Lakers

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Warriors, D’Angelo Russell is the man on this team right now and has a 32% usage rate on the season. He’s an elite play in all formats considering his price. Draymond Green is also too cheap considering they will need him on defense to help guard both LeBron and AD. I like Alec Burks as a bounceback candidate as well here, he’s blowout proof and I really don’t think they can keep this close unless the Lakers decide to rest one of their superstars. Willie Cauley-Stein is starting to see his minutes ramp up and I would expect him to be around 30 here, I love him at this price. With Green back and the difficult matchup, I think we can fade Eric Paschall fairly comfortably. From the Lakers, it is LeBron James and Anthony Davis, both are elite plays, I’m not going to try and say one is better than the other here. That said, they did get Rajon Rondo back last night, I don’t know if he’ll play on the second half of the back-to-back, but he may take some of those point guard duties from LeBron.

5-star play: LeBron James, Anthony Davis, D’Angelo Russell, Willie Cauley-Stein

4-star play: Alec Burks, Draymond Green, Rajon Rondo

Deeper Value: Kyle Kuzma, Jordan Poole

GPP Sleeper: Alec Burks, Rajon Rondo, Kyle Kuzma
