Race Info

After a week off the Xfinity Series makes it’s way to the ultra fast 1.5 mile of Texas Motor Speedway. Texas usually has very long green flag runs meaning long run speed is important. That means pay attention to the 10 and 20 lap averages in practice. This also usually results in only 10 to 12 cars being on the lead lap and having 1 dominator leading the majority of the laps. There are a few driver changes to note for this week. Jeb Burton is back in the #8 for JRM and Ross Chastain is back with the #10 for Kaulig Racing. Stefan Parsons is in the #15, and Ronnie Bassett in the #90 are low tier plays to keep an eye on. Track History and practice speeds are even more important than most tracks this week so be sure to utilize our Research Station to help with lineup construction.

The DFS Army destroyed DFS in October with double digits 1st place wins $5,000+. This is simply down to the unbelievable content provided by our top flight coaches and research tools. Come join the winning culture with access to elite content for EVERY DFS sport.

Lineup Building

Dominator/Top Tier

For this race you will look to use 1-2 dominators. Most races here see one main dominator leading the bulk of the race. There is also usually a secondary dominator who leads 30-40 laps usually. Usually both of these drivers also end up inside the top 5 and both being needed for the optimal lineup. Christopher Bell should be the favorite heading into this race having led 127 laps here in the spring. Outside of Bell the usual suspects of Reddick, Custer and Allgaier will be his biggest competition. Pay close attention to practice to see if anyone has the speed to match Bell.

Mid to Low Tier

At $9,000 and below we see a lot of drivers with strong position upside. Jones, Nemecheck, Haley, Burton, Sieg and Burton will all offer top 10 upside. There will also be a couple of these drivers who offer a solid amount of place differential in the process. I fully expect the key to the winning lineup being picking the right driver from this group. In the lower tier there is always tons of solid options. Weighing place differential vs finishing position upside is important. We will have to wait for qualifying to see what is available from this group.

Punts

This race has had a rather high DNF rate over the last couple years. This of course adds value to those punts who run the full race. There are still a few start and parks to avoid this week. For information on who to avoid check out our Xfinity Series VIP article breaking down every driver. There has been some shake up within the punt teams for this week as well. As always we will look to find the 2-3 drivers in this range who can possibly sneak into the top 20 scoring a solid point total on DK.

I will also answer any questions you may have in the VIP Slack!
