NBA Full Court Press Breakdown, Advice, and Picks for FanDuel and Draftkings – Oct. 31st 2019

Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides, that said, we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Steve aka Mutt18 (@mutt_18) on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started! I’m your FanDuel coach most nights!

Before I get started, make sure to check out the latest new DFS website. SuperDraft is an innovative new DFS site that does not have salaries but instead uses a multiplier system and better yet, THEY HAVE LATE SWAP! Check out more on how it works below!

Full Court Press:

Miami Heat @ Atlanta Hawks

Vegas Total: 216

Vegas Spread: Mia -6.5

I mentioned last game how the addition of Jimmy Butler basically messes up the value we had at the guard position, and it played out that way, as Nunn, Winslow, and Dragic all underperformed from their previous few games, but it didn’t effect our guy Bam Adebayo! He’s firmly in play tonight as the Hawks are bad at defending the post and he should be able to eat once again. Jimmy Butler is definitely also in play tonight as he played well and played over 30 minutes in his first game back. Tyler Herro shot very well from the field, and he looked much better with the second unit than he did starting, he’s a decent value on this small slate. Goran Dragic is also interesting as he is seeing 30ish minutes off the bench. On the other side of the ball, the Hawks will be without their star in Trae Young, as he sprained his ankle but the good news is that he should only be out a few games. This thrusts De’Andre Bembry likely into a starting role, as he was running the point for their second unit, and he gets a big boost here as the ball will be in his hands even more tonight. John Collins also just decimated this Heat team down low, as Bam isn’t the greatest defender and Meyers Leonard is pretty slow to react. I also have some interest in Cam Reddish as he’ll likely have to take on a bigger role in the offense as well, as he’s really cheap across the industry.

5-star plays: Bam Adebayo, John Collins

4-star plays: Jimmy Butler, De’Andre Bembry, Goran Dragic

Deeper Value: De’Andre Bembry, Cam Reddish, DeAndre Hunter

GPP Sleeper: DeAndre Hunter, Bruno Fernando

Denver Nuggets @ New Orleans Pelicans

Vegas Total: 218

Vegas Spread: Den -3.0

The Nuggets have looked solid to start the year, and they really haven’t even gotten Nikola Jokic going yet. He gets a nice matchup here, as none of the Pelicans bigs will be able to hang with him, and he has triple-double potential in any game. He hasn’t been too aggressive on offense so far this year, but I think that will change a bit tonight in a faster paced game. Jamal Murray is also in play here, as the Pelicans have been struggling at defending opposing PGs, and Murray hasn’t popped off for one of his random 50+ FP games yet this season. Gary Harris is also in play, as he seems to always be underpriced, and he’s been shooting well over the past few games, however, I’ll have less interest in him if Holiday suits up, as he’s one of the better defenders in the league. On the other side of the ball, Brandon Ingram has been doing it all for this Pelicans team, and has scored at least 40 FPs in each of their first few games. He’s made some serious improvements over the offseason and even if Holiday is back tonight he’s still one of my favorite plays. Jrue Holiday is also in play here tonight, as he is the undisputed leader of this team while Zion is out, and he does it all on both sides of the ball. Lonzo Ball would see a nice boost here if Holiday is out, but if Holiday plays I don’t have much interest in him as he likely won’t see the floor much in the 4th quarter. Same thing with Josh Hart, he is priced up a bit from where he was to start the season, and if Holiday plays it really kills his ceiling. One guy to look at for value though is my boy #KennyHustle a.k.a. Kenrich Williams, especially if Favors is out again, as they’ll look to play on the smaller side and he does everything and can accumulate FPs in a hurry.

5-star plays: Brandon Ingram, Nikola Jokic

4-star plays: Jrue Holiday (if he plays), Jamal Murray, Lonzo Ball (if Holiday sits), Josh Hart (if Holiday sits)

Deeper Value: Gary Harris, Malik Beasley, Will Barton, Kenrich Williams

GPP Sleeper: Malik Beasley, Gary Harris, Kenrich Williams

San Antonio Spurs @ Los Angeles Clippers

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: Lac: -5.0

Ahh Kawhi against his old team will be the big narrative here and after sitting last night I actually really do like Kawhi Leonard in this matchup, as this is one of those games where the Clippers are probably going to need him to takeover to win this game. He’s probably my favorite play of the night, but he will be popular. Sweet Lou Williams is also firmly in play here, as he’ll return to his normal role off the bench where he is much more comfortable. This is another spot where they’ll need him to score a bunch. Montrezl Harrell is also firmly in play here, as the Clippers will need him to do the dirty work downlow that Ivica Zubac just seems incapable of doing. On the Spurs side of the ball, LaMarcus Aldridge is one of my favorite plays here, as the Clippers don’t defend bigs well, and he should eat Zubac alive to start this game. They’ll lean on him as their main option on offense with Murray still on his minutes limit. Speaking of which, Dejounte Murray has been on fire to start the year, but he has a minutes limit and won’t play more than 22-24ish minutes. But the dude has been super efficient, scoring over 40 FPs in 2 of the first 3 games, it will just come down to whether or not he keeps up that pace, firmly in play in GPPs though. Trey Lyles makes for a decent value play as he has been starting, and Bryn Forbes and Derrick White are both firmly in play for value here with Murray on that minutes limit.

5-star plays: Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge

4-star plays: Dejounte Murray, Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell

Deeper Value: Trey Lyles, Bryn Forbes, Moe Harkless, Landry Shamet

GPP Sleeper: Trey Lyles, Bryn Forbes, Landry Shamet
