WNBA FULL COURT PRESS

Congrats to DFS Army member bigmyken2m (@Myke) for this fantastic performance!

Washington Mystics @ New York Liberty

As the battle for the top seed continues, the Mystics face the Liberty. Kristi Toliver and Aerial Powers remain out today for the Mystics. Elena Delle Donne will once more be called upon to lead this team to victory. In her last game against the Liberty, she put up 42 DKPs in just 24 minutes. She has a high ceiling in this matchup. Emma Meesseman exploded last game as she got the start for Powers. She’s once more in play today if she gets the start again. The Liberty are weak against guards, opening the door for Natasha Cloud to have a good game here. She is averaging 30 DKPs in her two games against the Liberty this season. In their last meeting, Tianna Hawkins came off the bench and blew the Liberty away, putting up 30 DKPs in just 17 mins. She could conceivably get even more run today if the game gets out of hand.

The Liberty are not going anywhere this season and are in the hunt for the #1 overall pick in the draft. They have switched their focus to getting their young players minutes. All this uncertainty surrounding the Liberty, including whether Tina Charles even suits up tonight makes it really difficult to analyze or trust them from a DFS perspective. The smart move will be to fade the Liberty on this slate. That said, it is quite possible there might be a few nuggets here. Kia Nurse and Marine Johannes appear to be in the good graces for this team and should both play upwards of 25 minutes. This makes them both playable in what could be a huge blowout game.

5-Star Play: Elena Delle Donne

4-Star Play: Emma Meesseman, Natasha Cloud, Kia Nurse

Deep Value: Marine Johannes

GPP Sleeper: Tianna Hawkins

Seattle Storm @ Phoenix Mercury

The Storm and Mercury are in the final two spots for the playoffs. They are currently fighting for positioning as the regular season comes to an end. Leading the Storm into Phoenix tonight will be Natasha Howard. In their previous two meetings this season, Howard has averaged 43.5 DKPs in 34.3 MPG. Howard’s form has been a little subpar recently, but she is always in play in this juicy matchup. Jordin Canada was superb in her last game, going for 44 DKPs. That combined with her 30.4 DKPs average against the Mercury this season will make her a popular choice on this slate. The struggles of Jewell Loyd are well documented. She hasn’t totally come back from the injury she suffered, that said she makes for an excellent GPP pivot off the chalkier Jordin Canada in this matchup tonight.

Brittney Griner has been phenomenal for the Mercury since the return of Diana Taurasi. She is averaging about 48 DKPs in 35 MPG over her last five games. On the season, she has averaged 36.6 DKPs against the Storm. This numbers put Griner firmly in play here tonight, making her one of the top plays on the slate. With the return of Diana Taurasi, DeWanna Bonner’s usage has taken a massive hit, and this has been reflected in her fantasy production. She has struggled in 3 of her last five games. That said, Bonner has averaged 42.5 DKPs this season against the Storm and the matchup is a good one. Speaking of Diana Taurasi, she is 3-35 shooting since returning from her injury. At some point, her shots will start falling and it could very well be in only her second game at home since returning. She makes for an interesting GPP play. It’s hard to like any other Mercury player here, they just have too many mouths to fit with the rest of the minutes.

5-Star Play: Brittney Griner, Natasha Howard

4-Star Play: Jordin Canada, DeWanna Bonner

Deep Value: Jewell Loyd

GPP Sleeper: Diana Taurasi

Atlanta Dream @ Los Angeles Sparks

The Dream have nothing to play for except of course their honor. They’ll finish last in the league this season. That said, they have picked things up on the offensive end and won’t go down easily here. Tiffany Hayes will look to lead her team to victory here tonight. She has averaged 30.5 DKPS in two games against the Sparks this season. On the forward side, the Sparks are susceptible here opening the door for Jessica Breland, Elizabeth Williams, and/or Monique Billings. On the season, Billings has the best record against the Sparks among those three, averaging 27.8 DKPs in two games. That said, Jessica Breland has the highest upside albeit with the highest amount of minutes uncertainty.

For the Sparks, they are fighting for a first-round bye, being just a half-game ahead of the Sky for that 4th spot. The Sparks have been formidable at home this season and will look to continue that run here. With Nneka Ogwumike questionable, things could get really interesting here. Candace Parker will lead the team in this matchup. The Dream have been susceptible to bigs all season. Add to that the incredible home/road splits Parker has and this matchup is perfect for her. If Nneka misses this game, you can lock in Chiney Ogwumike at her price. She’ll play close to 30 minutes and should completely dominate the Dream frontcourt. After her performance on Saturday, Riquna Williams is going to gather a lot of ownership today, she makes for a solid play based on the matchup as well. Chelsea Gray is always in play for the Sparks, especially if one of their other star players is out. She begins a huge play tonight if Nneka misses the game.

5-Star Play: Candace Parker, Chiney Ogwumike (If Nneka out)

4-Star Play: Chelsea Gray, Tiffany Hayes, Riquna Williams, Jessica Breland

Deep Value: Chiney Ogwumike

GPP Sleeper: Monique Billings
