In the list below the MLB Top Stacks, I will also list my Top5 at each position to give you more ideas on how to construct stacks today.

⚾ MLB Top Stacks September 9th ⚾

I use this sheet daily to help me identify top stacks on each slate
I’ve included the RAW number to show you the number that is being Ranked. This is the resulting number from my formula each day and should help illustrate exactly how much separation there is from team to team on the list. Some days there are very clear teams ranked in the Top 1 or 2. Other days they are grouped much tighter.
I’ve added a new Leverage Column, which is simply the Projection (minus) the Ownership. In theory, this should help us see who we can target at lower ownership and gain leverage on the field.

Brewers
- Robert Dugger enters tonight’s game with a 6.34 xFIP on the year he’s been really struggling against hitters from both sides of the plate. Against lefties, he has allowed a 362/182 woba/iso with a 33% fly-ball rate and 52% hard contact rate. His numbers against righties are just slightly better, as he has allowed a 289/206 woba/iso with a 48% fly-ball rate and 40% hard contact rate. The top 4 in the Brewers order will be my targets here, but honestly, the entire lineup is probably in play with this matchup. That being said, I’m not super excited to roster Corey Spangenberg or Ben Gamel *shrug*.
Astros
- Mike Fiers has an xFIP of 5.07 this season, but his woba/iso numbers are very respectable. Against lefties, he allows a 291/128 woba/iso and against righties he gives up a 301/170 woba/iso. That being said, he only strikes out 16% of batters to both sides of the plate, and against lefties, he gives up a 38% fly-ball rate and a 36% hard contact rate. The case is the same against righties, as he allows a 39% fly-ball rate and a 37% hard contact rate. I know he’s wiggled his way out of serious damage (judging by his woba/iso numbers) but against this Houston lineup, I don’t see him getting off so easily tonight.

Cubs
- Chad Quantril has been awful this year against lefties, but pretty solid against righties. Against lefties, he has allowed a 354/193 woba/iso with a 40% fly-ball rate and a 45% hard contact rate with a terrible 14.3% k rate. Against righties, he’s been really good, only a 221/103 woba/iso and a great 27.6% k rate so I’ll strictly target lefties here tonight.
Giants
- Trevor Williams has a 5.23 xFIP entering tonight’s game against the Giants. On the year he has allowed a 383/221 woba/iso with a 36% fly ball rate and a 34% hard contact rate. Against lefties, he’s a little better, but still allows big time power with a 219 iso and 42% hard contact. The lefties are my targets here on what should be a relatively low owned Giants team considering the matchup they have.

Batter Rankings 09/09
These rankings are not site-specific and are intended to give you a solid pool of players to build your lineups from. I’m going to use the standard positions, Catcher through Outfield in these rankings so be aware of that if you’re constructing teams on Draftkings where some players can play multiple positions.
I will use the 😍 ADORE feature in the MLB Domination Station to increase the projection of each of these players by 15%. Doing this will allow me to get MORE of them throughout all of my lineups.
