MLB Top Stacks for Fanduel and Draftkings September 5th

Welcome back, everyone! This MLB Top Stacks article will be a daily Article here at DFS Army, where I will do my best to highlight my top offenses to target each day for Fanduel and Draftkings. In the list below the MLB Top Stacks, I will also list my Top5 at each position to give you more ideas on how to construct stacks today.

If you have any questions hit me up in the DFS Army VIP chat shoot me a DM @CeeGee and we can chat one-on-one about your process.

I appreciate you taking time out of your day to check out the article 🤟❤💯

I use this sheet daily to help me identify top stacks on each slate

I’ve included the RAW number to show you the number that is being Ranked. This is the resulting number from my formula each day and should help illustrate exactly how much separation there is from team to team on the list. Some days there are very clear teams ranked in the Top 1 or 2. Other days they are grouped much tighter.

I’ve added a new Leverage Column, which is simply the Projection (minus) the Ownership. In theory, this should help us see who we can target at lower ownership and gain leverage on the field.

🚨🚨 NOTE 🚨🚨

There will usually be an update posted at 5:30pm eastern in our DFS Army VIP chat so make sure you get signed up so you have access to all of the latest info before lock.

Rays

  • Trent Thornton is attackable with hitters from both sides of the plate. On the year he has a 5.09 xFIP and against lefties, he has allowed a 348/233 woba/iso with a 37% fly-ball rate and a 36% hard contact rate. Against righties, he has allowed a 345/163 woba/iso with a 42% fly-ball rate and a 35% hard contact rate. My favorite targets on the Rays are Meadows, Pham, Choi with Kiermaier and Adames being on the cusp.

Red Sox

  • Marin Perez has been solid this year, but I’m not buying into him in this matchup tonight against the Red Sox. Against righties, he has allowed a 343/173 woba/iso and a 35% hard contact rate. He’s been very good against lefties, so I’ll so those lefty Red Sox as GPP targets and focus mainly on the righties here. Betts, Bogaerts and Martinez are my top 3 and they rank 1, 3 and 4 for me overall respectively tonight.

LESSSSSSSSS  GOOOOOOOOOOO!!🤟❤💯

Astros

  • Marco Gonzales has struggled this year, entering tonight with a 4.93 xFIP and only a 17% k rate overall. Against lefties, he allows a 344/145 woba/iso and a 40% hard contact rate while only striking out 12.7%. Against righties, he allows a 307/156 woba/iso (not terrible) but he allows a 39% fly-ball rate and a 32% hard contact rate while only striking out 19.3%. I think we can attack him with Astros from either side of the plate tonight. I have Jake Marisnick ranked highly if you need some value to fit big bats in here tonight.

Cubs

  • Chase Anderson has trolled us before with a random “good game” but today, against the Cubs, I’m not going to let that scare me. On the year, Anderson has a 5.25 xFIP and against lefties he has been solid, only allowing a 258/156 woba/iso but he gives up a very high 48% fly ball rate. Against righties is where we can ATTACK, as he has allowed a 392/266 woba/iso with a 39% fly ball rate and a 46% hard contact rate. Clearly the Cubs righties are the play here tonight, but, I’ll still have Rizzo and Schwarber (lefties) in GPP’s as apart of some of my Cubs stacks.

Batter Rankings 09/05

These rankings are not site-specific and are intended to give you a solid pool of players to build your lineups from. I’m going to use the standard positions, Catcher through Outfield in these rankings so be aware of that if you’re constructing teams on Draftkings where some players can play multiple positions.

I will use the 😍 ADORE feature in the MLB Domination Station to increase the projection of each of these players by 15%. Doing this will allow me to get MORE of them throughout all of my lineups.
