WNBA FULL COURT PRESS

Congrats to DFS Army member bigmyken2m (@Myke) for this fantastic performance on Thursday!

New York Liberty @ Washington Mystics

The Liberty travel to the Nation’s capital to take on the best team in the league. This is a tough matchup for the Liberty across the board, but they are fighting for playoff position so they can still be dangerous here. That said, it is hard finding a Liberty player to trust here. Tina Charles is the obvious stud in this team and given her recent form is very much a target in GPPs. She can always go off for 40+ fpts. On the guard side, Kia Nurse has good home/road splits, putting up 6.2 more FPPG on the road than at home. This, combined with her heavy minutes, makes her an interesting GPP option here.

For the Mystics, the absence of Kristi Toliver continues to take a toll on the production of some of their top players. The Mystics are tied with the Sun for the best record in the league. They are playing for that #1 seed, so expect them to come out shooting here. Elena Delle Donne is the top option on this team, and she’ll look to lead her team to victory today. Ariel Atkins and Natasha Cloud have picked up the slack since Toliver went down and are both in play here tonight. Finally, Aerial Powers continues to make the best of the extra minutes she continues to receive with Toliver out.

5-Star Play: Elena Delle Donne, Natasha Cloud

4-Star Play: Tina Charles, Ariel Atkins, Kia Nurse, Aerial Powers

Deep Value: Rebecca Allen

GPP Sleeper: Amanda Zahui B

Atlanta Dream @ Dallas Wings

Elizabeth Williams returns to action for the Dream today. Her return should act as a boost for the Dream. She also returns into an average matchup, one which at her price she can perform in. The Wings have been solid defensively this year, so in general, you don’t expect amazing results against them, but Williams and Jessica Breland are in good spots given their prices. On the guard side, Tiffany Hayes and Brittney Sykes both take a slight hit here with Williams back but are still GPP-worthy targets. Alex Bentley remains a deep GPP kind of play.

Arike Ogunbowale continues to play huge minutes for the Wings and leads them this season. Arike is always in play when the Wings take the court and that’s the case today. Allisha Gray is on a very nice run of form and makes for an excellent option here as well. It helps that she has averaged 32 FPPG in the previous 2 games this season. On the forward side, the Wings have too many players fighting for minutes. Attacking the Dream with forwards has been a winning strategy, but in this case, one has to pick the right forward. Glory Johnson, Isabelle Harrison, Kayla Thornton, and even Kristine Anigwe are potential options here.

5-Star Play: Arike Ogunbowale

4-Star Play: Elizabeth Williams, Allisha Gray, Jessica Breland, Tiffany Hayes

Deep Value: Kristine Anigwe

GPP Sleeper: Kristine Anigwe

Connecticut Sun @ Los Angeles Sparks

The Sun are battling for the #1 seed with the Mystics as they travel to LA to take on the Sparks today. Jonquel Jones has been in beast mode against the Sparks this season, averaging 46.3 DKPG in their two previous meetings. There’s no reason to think that will change today. Alyssa Thomas showed last game why she is always in the conversation as a DFS target when the Sun take the court. However, she has huge home/road splits, performing 7 DKPs worse on the road than at home, so be a little careful with her. On the guard side, Courtney Williams continues her fine form. Williams is a fantastic scorer who also happens to be one of the best rebounding guards in the league. She makes for a fine play today. Jasmine Thomas has averaged 31 DKPG against the Sparks this season and can always put up those numbers again.

Nneka Ogwumike and Candace Parker lead the Sparks as they battle for playoffs positioning. Nneka has been solid this seen and has been prized up accordingly. In the previous meetings against the Sun, she has averaged 42 DKPG. It should be noted that Parker did not play in either of those games, which could affect things here. Parker has been solid at home this season, posting 12.5 more DKPs at home than on the road. Sample selection might have a role in those numbers, but it’s still impressive. She’ll be looking to take advantage of this matchup. Chelsea Gray is a little too expensive for this matchup, given how well the Sun defend against guards. That said she is talented enough to excel in any matchup and is a consideration for GPPs. Finally, we can’t completely sleep on Chiney Ogwumike. While she continues to play around 16 MPG, it is not farfetched to think the Sparks might give her extra minutes here against her former team. In such a scenario, she’ll become a good GPP option.

5-Star Play: Jonquel Jones, Candace Parker, Nneka Ogwumike, Courtney Williams

4-Star Play: Alyssa Thomas, Jasmine Thomas, Chelsea Gray

Deep Value: Chiney Ogwumike

GPP Sleeper: Chiney Ogwumike

Chicago Sky @ Phoenix Mercury

The Sky have clinched a playoff spot already but continue to battle for seeding. They face a Mercury team currently in the last playoff spot, making for a hard-fought game. Courtney Vandersloot continues to lead this team night in and night out, putting up incredible numbers. She is the floor general and always a double-double threat. She makes for a solid option today. Diamond DeShields has been phenomenal this season and has been one of the top guards in the league. She put up 40 DKPs in the first meeting against the Mercury and will look to repeat that today. Allie Quigley is the ultimate GPP play, possessing slate breaking potential every time she steps on the court. This is a tough matchup for her, but she is clearly capable of handling it. On the forward side, the Mercury can be attacked using PFs, enter Astou Ndour and Cheyenne Parker. Ndour has been phenomenal with Jantel Lavender out, putting up good numbers. She is a solid option here today. Parker doesn’t need plenty of minutes to put up numbers, making her a nice GPP sleeper play.

For the Mercury, it all begins with DeWanna Bonner and ends with Brittney Griner. Bonner has been one of the best players in the league this season. In the previous meeting against the Sky, she put up 57.5 DKPs. She is one of the top plays on the slate today. The only wrinkle here is the return of Diana Taurasi. Taurasi who should make her return today could potentially take away some of the usage from Bonner and hurt her upside slightly here. Brittney Griner gets a tough but beatable matchup. Surprisingly, the Sky have done a nice job against opposing centers, including Griner in the previous meeting. That said, Griner is just too good and can go off at any time. Diana Taurasi’s return hurts virtually every other Mercury player, making it difficult to recommend them. Perhaps Leilani Mitchell will retain a solid role here, but her price is a little out of step with a reduced role.

5-Star Play: DeWanna Bonner, Courtney Vandersloot, Brittney Griner, Diamond DeShields

4-Star Play: Allie Quigley, Astou Ndour, Leilani Mitchell

Deep Value: Cheyenne Parker

GPP Sleeper: Allie Quigley

Las Vegas Aces @ Minnesota Lynx

Liz Cambage looks set to lock horns once more with Sylvia Fowles this season. This is a tough matchup for Cambage, but as she showed in the last meeting, it is one she can perform in (going for 47.25 DKPs in that meeting). That said, she significantly underperformed in the first meeting, highlighting the risk that comes with this matchup. A’ja Wilson gets a tough matchup here against the Lynx, making it difficult to recommend her. On the guard side, we have been targeting the Lynx all season with 3-point shooters. This is an excellent matchup for Kayla McBride and one can expect her to step up to the challenge. Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, and Dearica Hamby round up the remaining Aces players who have something to offer in this matchup. They are all inconsistent players so be careful with them.

For the Lynx, Sylvia Fowles gets a good matchup tonight. She’ll be desperately needed to show up and lead her team here as they battle for a playoff spot. Napheesa Collier has played extremely well this season and is the likely frontrunner for the Rookie of the Year award. She has picked up quite a bit of slack for this Lynx team throughout the season and is currently in fine form, making her a solid option. Damiris Dantas gets a find matchup here against A’ja Wilson and has shown the ability to exploit it in the previous two meetings this season, to the tune of 27.4 DKPPG. On the guard side, Odyssey Sims stands out as an excellent option. The Aces are known to give up big points to guards, and Sims is the type of guard who can exploit that. Don’t sleep on Danielle Robinson here either if she gets the start tonight.

5-Star Play: Liz Cambage, Sylvia Fowles, Kayla McBride, Odyssey Sims

4-Star Play: Napheesa Collier, Damiris Dantas

Deep Value: Jackie Young

GPP Sleeper: Danielle Robinson

Indiana Fever @ Seattle Storm

The Fever travel to Seattle to take on the Storm. The Fever are still mathematically in the running for a playoff spot, so you can expect them to play hard, but they are outmatched here. It’s hard to see them winning this game, and harder still to figure out who among the players can put up a good game here. No one stands out as a good target here, except for Candice Dupree. Dupree gets the target matchup against Natasha Howard today and can produce in it. Apart from her though, it becomes a game of Russian Roulette figuring out which other Fever players will perform. Good luck making that call.

For the Storm, it all begins up top with Natasha Howard. Howard has 50+ upside in this matchup. She has put up three 50+ efforts in her last five games, and it is easy to see her doing that again here, especially if the game somehow stays close. Jewell Loyd has finally worked her way back to a full complement of minutes, making her severely underprice on DK. She makes for a fantastic option today in all formats as she carries 40 DKP upside in this matchup. Other Storm players like Jordin Canada, Alysha Clark, and Mercedes Russell are in play here today depending on your risk tolerance.

5-Star Play: Natasha Howard, Jewell Loyd

4-Star Play: Candice Dupree, Alysha Clark, Erica Wheeler

Deep Value: Jewell Loyd

GPP Sleeper: Kelsey Mitchell
