WNBA FULL COURT PRESS

Minnesota Lynx @ Washington Mystics

After crushing the Sun, the Lynx travel to the nation’s capital to take on the Mystics. Talk about tough scheduling! This is as tough as matchups go in the WNBA, making it difficult to really like the Lynx players today. That said, their studs are in play. Sylvia Fowles makes for an excellent matchup here. She probably has the best matchup for any Lynx player here. Even in a tough matchup, Odyssey Sims is still in play here. She has the talent to play through a tough matchup. Napheesa Collier has been on fire recently and is also in play especially when she is playing at the SF today. Don’t expect magic from them, but they are solid options. In case you believe the game will get out of hand, Lexie Brown and Temi Fagbenle make for interesting options.

The Mystics continue to be one of the teams to beat in the league, led by Elena Delle Donne. EDD makes for an excellent play here today, especially if Kirsti Toliver is out. In no way is this an easy matchup for EDD, but it is one she can exploit if at the top of her game. With Toliver out, this takes away our obvious target against the Lynx. This will put a spotlight on Natasha Cloud and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough. Both are playable here. Finally, with Tianna Hawkins out, Emma Meesseman becomes a solid play here as well, with Aerial Powers serving as a low-owned GPP punt. Meesseman, especially, makes for a solid target here. She has the talent and skill to exploit this matchup thoroughly, and she has been +4 FPPG better at home than on the road this season.

5-Star Play: Sylvia Fowles, Elena Delle Donne

4-Star Play: Odyssey Sims, Napheesa Collier, Emma Meesseman, Natasha Cloud

Deep Value: Shatori Walker-Kimbrough

GPP Sleeper: Aerial Powers

Seattle Storm @ New York Liberty

The Storm take on the Lynx in a favorable matchup. We begin up top with Natasha Howard who has been one of the best players in the league this season. Howard gets a tough-ish matchup here tonight. Her best output this season against NY has been a 34 fpts effort, but that doesn’t mean she can’t go for 50 tonight. Jordin Canada makes for an excellent play today as the Liberty have been notoriously bad against guards this season. She also happens to be the one Storm guard with the most stable minutes on the team. Alysha Clark has been playing extremely well the past few games, making her a nice option on this slate as well. Finally, Mercedes Russell and Jewell Loyd make for interest GPP pieces on the slate as they have the upside but have struggled recently.

The Liberty get to take on the Storm shorthanded today. Tina Charles will be called on to carry this team on her shoulder. A position she is well suited to fill. She gets one of the best matchups on the board today and makes for an excellent play. Reshanda Gray will play close to 30 minutes today with Zahui B out. She has the skill to perform in the matchup. On the guard side, the only guard with consistent minutes with Kia Nurse and she is in play here today. She’s in a good spot she can take advantage of it. Of the remaining guards, Brittany Boyd stands out as the lowest owned one with good upside for her price. Tanisha Wright and Bria Hartley are obvious GPP targets here if you can stomach the risk.

5-Star Play: Tina Charles, Natasha Howard, Jordin Canada

4-Star Play: Reshanda Gray, Alysha Clark, Kia Nurse, Mercedes Russell

Deep Value: Brittany Boyd

GPP Sleeper: Tanisha Wright

Chicago Sky @ Los Angeles Sparks

The Sky take on the Sparks in LA tonight. This should be an interesting matchup. It can easily be a blowout or a high scoring exhilarating affair. Courtney Vandersloot and Diamond DeShields obviously lead the way here for the Sky. They are both in play here today, with DeShields being my preferred option. Allie Quigley makes for an excellent GPP option tonight. She has been finding her form more consistently these days and makes for a very nice option. On the forward side of things, Stefanie Dolson stands out tonight. She has been extremely solid of late, and she gets increased usage tonight with Jantel lavender out. Cheyenne Parker stands to benefit from this as well and makes for a great play.

For the Sparks, it begins up top with Candace Parker and Nneka Ogwumike. Both have fantastic matchups and 50+ upside here. It’s hard to say who will perform best, but both are firmly in play. On the guard side for the Sparks, the only real option here is Chelsea Gray. Sydney Wiese and Tierra Ruffin-Pratt just don’t have the upside we want. Gray, on the other hand, is one of the top guards in the league and the matchup is excellent. The remaining Spark players are GPP viable if you are willing to carry on such risks, especially if you believe in a blowout here.

5-Star Play: Candace Parker, Nneka Ogwumike, Diamond DeShields, Courtney Vandersloot

4-Star Play: Allie Quigley, Chelsea Gray, Stefanie Dolson, Cheyenne Parker

Deep Value: Sydney Wiese

GPP Sleeper: Chiney Ogwumike

Connecticut Sun @ Las Vegas Aces

The Sun are still reeling from the beatdown they took from the Lynx. They’ll look to bounce back tonight against the Aces. It’ll all start up top with Jonquel Jones. She gets an average matchup and for JJ, that’s more than enough for her to explode. She went for 44 DKPs in the first meeting and is more than capable of repeating that here. Alyssa Thomas gets a slightly tougher matchup here, but she also happens to be always in contention for a triple-double, making her a solid option. On the guard side, Courtney Williams and Jasmine Thomas stand out as the top options as expected. Williams went for 44 DKPs in the first meeting and is in position to do that again. Jasmine has been in a mini-slump recently and this could be the matchup she needs to get out of it. Other Sun players like Bria Holmes, Shekinna Stricklen, and Theresa Plaisance are in play only as GPP darts.

For the Aces, Liz Cambage leads the line today. In the first meeting, she put up 27 DKPs in just 14 minutes. She’ll be playing 30+ minutes here and we can expect an even larger contribution from her. Dearica Hamby has been on fire since Wilson went down, and she’ll continue to be here. She gets a very favorable matchup against AT tonight, one she can fully exploit, making her one of the top plays on the slate. On the guard side, the matchup is extremely tough with just Kayla McBride and Tamera Young as recommended options. McBride is capable of beating any matchup with her shooting ability, and Young’s all-around ability helps her in this type of matchup.

5-Star Play: Liz Cambage, Jonquel Jones, Dearica Hamby, Alyssa Thomas

4-Star Play: Courtney Williams, Jasmine Thomas, Kayla McBride

Deep Value: Tamera Young

GPP Sleeper: Shekinna Stricklen
