WNBA FULL COURT PRESS

The WNBA is well underway now and the wins have started coming in! Congrats to Seoexpert for this excellent takedown of the DK WNBA main GPP!

New York Liberty @ Atlanta Dream

The New York Liberty come in off a close win against the Dallas Wings. The rotation on the Liberty is tight right now and that is good for DFS purposes. Reshanda Gray has to be my favorite value on this team as well as one of my favorite value options on the slate as well. If she continues to get big minutes like she did last game, she should easily crush her price tag. Tina Charles is expensive on both sites and while she is capable of a big game, she has only surpassed 40 fantasy points once this season. She is a safe play, but not one that I believe can bring home the win. I love Boyd’s price as she has a great shot at making and exceeding value on this slate, and while Kia Nurse’s price is a bit high, I like the discount that you get with her from the super studs that have the same potential ceiling.

Playing anyone off the Atlanta Dream is hard to do because they have been getting blown out left and right. Tiffany Hayes is my favorite option on the team as I love to attack the Liberty with guards. She has been playing a lot better as of recent and she still has not had her ceiling game yet. Jessica Breland is the only player in the frontcourt I am willing to target and that is because of the upside that she each and every game if she is on. Not one of my favorite plays, but she could be sneaky and get the job done. Lastly, Renee Montgomery is someone I am looking at for gpp use only. I love playing guards against the Liberty and she offers amazing upside and could easily be in the tournament winning lineup.

5-Star Play: Tina Charles, Tiffany Hayes

4-Star Play: Reshanda Gray, Brittany Boyd, Kia Nurse

Deep Value: Renee Montgomery

GPP Sleeper: Jessica Breland, Renee Montgomery

Minnesota Lynx @ Dallas Wings

The Lynx come in today after losing Christmas Kelly for the rest of the season due to some kind of injury. Sylvia Fowles comes in as the safest play on the team but is not my favorite for gpp purposes. While she is a fantastic player and does offer a huge ceiling there are a couple of other players near her price that I would rather put into my lineups first. Damiris Dantas has an excellent matchup in this game and should soak up some of the minutes that Kelly was getting. She is my secret sauce for the gpp winning recipe tonight. I believe she has 35 point upside tonight and she should come in at very low ownership considering the other players that are around her. Napheesa Collier is a boom or bust player and predicting the boom has not been easy. Danielle Robinson comes in at a nice price. She is a safe play on this slate and is not someone I am looking to have a lot of exposure to in gpps. Odyssey Sims is expensive and I do not think she has another game as she did in her last appearance for a long time.

The Dallas Wings are a mess and are the most frustrating teams of the season when considering DFS. Azura Stevens is in the do not play category until she is back to full strength from her injury. Kayla Thornton and Theresa Plaisance are both solid plays on this slate. Plaisance is a better play on Fanduel due to her price. I am not overly excited about either of these plays, but I believe both can be a point per minute play. Arike Ogunbawale is shooting a ton recently. While I do not prefer to attack the guards on the Lynx. Arike has the ball puts her into consideration as she has been having solid games for DFS purposes.

5-Star Play: Sylvia Fowles

4-Star Play: Odyssey Sims, Kayla Thornton, Damiris Dantas

Deep Value: Danielle Robinson

GPP Sleeper: Napheesa Collier

DFS Army VIP’s crushed it on the Showdown Slates for the US Open using our Coaches Notes, Domination Station and Research Station!

Our Golf team is top notch, I cannot remember a week where someone has not won 5k or more in the past few months. Our coaches have helped many members have successful weekends like this. Congrats to Jamie2703 for the big win in golf.

Chicago Sky @ Los Angeles Sparks

The Sky have been playing a lot better than most would have expected when the season started. With that being said, no one on this team is a fantastic play for DFS purposes. We do have some solid plays off the Sky, but nothing that should be slate breaking. Courtney Vandersloot and Diamond Deshields are the two best players on the team, but I do not see either of them exceeding 35 fantasy points on this slate. If one of them were to do so, I would put my money on Vandersloot as she offers double-double and near triple-double upside. Cheyenne Parker is Candace’s sister and if she was guaranteed 30 minutes of court time she would be a must play, however that is not the case. She has amazing upside but is only a deep gpp play because she is not getting the big minutes.

For the Sparks, it starts and ends with Candace Parker. Her price is still too low and especially on DK, I will keep hammering away at her because of her floor and ceiling potential. Derek Fisher is starting to be one of those coaches we have to watch and monitor what he is doing every time the Sparks have a game. Nneka Ogwumike sat out last game and it was news that I found out last minute that lead us to have some success the other night. I fully expect Nneka to be back tonight and thus pushing Chiney to the bench. She is a safe and solid play, but not one I am overly excited about. If Riquna Williams gets the start again she becomes my favorite value play on the slate. We saw what she can do when given the time and I am hopeful that they start her again tonight.

5-Star Play: Candace Parker

4-Star Play:  Nneka Ogwumike, Diamond Deshields, Courtney Vandersloot

Deep Value: Riquna Williams

GPP Sleeper: Cheyenne Parker

Phoenix Mercury @ Seattle Storm

Talk about getting smacked around by the injury bug. Jewel Loyd will be out for an extended period of time. That is now 3, star players this team has lost this season and they are still fighting with everything that they got. Natasha Howard is the best overall play on this slate. Her ceiling is massive and it warrants the price tag that she has. Jordin Canada and Leilani Mitchell are some of the best value options on the slate with how high of a ceiling that they bring to the table. Both players should have a massive role in this game tonight and their price is not where it should be. DeWanna Bonner is my second favorite top tier play on the slate as there is no one on the Storm that can stop her. Griner is a great play as well, especially if Bonner is still hampered by injury. Alysha Clark  did not play in the first meeting between these teams, but she offers a solid floor and ceiling in this game. While it is not my favorite value or gpp play, Sami Whitcomb could have a surprising game tonight and exceed value.

5-Star Play: DeWanna Bonner, Jordin Canada, Natasha Howard

4-Star Play: Brittney Griner, Leilani Mitchell

Deep Value: Alysha Clark

GPP Sleeper: Sami Whitcomb
