Full Court Press:

Philadelphia 76ers @ Toronto Raptors

Vegas Total: 211.5

Vegas Spread: Tor -6.0

Philly was unable to capitalize at home and take a commanding lead, so the series is all knotted up at two as these two head back to Toronto. Starting with the 76ers, at this point I’m CLOSE to straight up fading Ben Simmons at this price tag. If you watched the last game, Ben Simmons did nothing for the final eight minutes of the game. He would dribble the ball up the court, pass to a teammate and then go hide in the corner. He cannot create any offense for himself and it’s a huge issue. The thing that keeps me from a full fade is his ability to rack up peripheral stats and still have that triple-double upside. Some of you may think I was crazy when I tweeted out a poll last night asking who you would rather have moving forward, Jaylen Brown or Ben Simmons, and I don’t think it’s as crazy as it sounds until Simmons can work on his offensive game. Anyway… rant over. Joel Embiid has been held in check for three of the four games of this series, Marc Gasol has done an excellent job on him. He’s got immense upside, so you can’t fade him, but if we go to the Research Station, it has him projected to just 4.1x his Draftkings price tag, although I think the minutes’ projection is a little low. Jimmy Butler is the guy I want from this team, and it’s really not close. He has scored at least 51 Draftkings points in his last three games and is the guy they go to toward the end of the game or when they need a bucket, hence the name Jimmy Buckets. Tobias Harris is very solid and I have nothing bad to say about his fantasy production. JJ Redick is a fine play as a last guy. If you need a punt play James Ennis is playing decent minutes and having really solid fantasy games. From Toronto, Kawhi Leonard is my favorite play and probably my favorite play of the slate. He has had a coming out party during this postseason and now gets to go back home and try to take a lead on this Sixers team. Pascal Siakam didn’t look right last game, he was doubtful all day and then ended up playing with a shin issue, monitor the Breaking News Feed for up to minute news on him. If he is limited or ruled out, Serge Ibaka becomes a great value play. Kyle Lowry continues to be pretty average, I don’t love him, but I don’t hate him. Marc Gasol will continue to play big minutes to help hold down Embiid. He played nearly 40 minutes last game and looked good doing it, I don’t mind him as a cheap center option. Danny Green is a fine option, but I would rather play JJ Redick in that range.

5-star play: Jimmy Butler, Kawhi Leonard

4-star play: Tobias Harris, Joel Embiid, Kyle Lowry, Marc Gasol

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: JJ Redick, James Ennis, Danny Green

GPP Sleeper: Ben Simmons

Portland Trailblazers @ Denver Nuggets

Vegas Total: 213.5

Vegas Spread: Den -4.5

This series is also tied at two and the teams will now shift to Denver. Starting with Portland, Damian Lillard shot pretty poorly last game and was still able to put up 46 Draftkings points, he is probably my favorite option on this team. On the other hand, CJ McCollum shot very well and followed up his 68 point fantasy game very nicely. He’s priced pretty appropriately and I like him as a mid-range option. Enes Kanter did not look good last game and I think fatigue may be starting to set in, with that said, they need him to play big minutes, so I’m fine with going back to him. Al-Farouq Aminu seems to have grabbed some of Maurice Harkless’s minutes, I much prefer Aminu here. Rodney Hood is also taking some of those minutes and his performing well, I don’t mind him as a value play. From Denver, Nikola Jokic is a fantasy unicorn and is probably the best player from a raw point standpoint on the slate. He has gone for at least 60 Draftkings points in five of his last six games. Jamal Murray continues to play well and has scored at least 40 Draftkings points in three of his last four games, I like him a lot going back home. Paul Millsap is averaging 38.75 Draftkings points in this series after having a pretty bad series against the Spurs. I like him at his price tag. The wings for the Nuggets are volatile and hard to predict, with that said my favorite is probably Gary Harris just because I know the minutes will be there. From a GPP standpoint, I would like Will Barton more because of his ceiling.

5-star play: Damian Lillard, Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Paul Millsap

4-star play: CJ McCollum, Al-Farouq Aminu, Enes Kanter, Gary Harris

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: Rodney Hood

GPP Sleeper: Will Barton
