After two weeks off the Xfinity Series makes its return to action at Charlotte Motor Speedway. We can expect the teams to have made some improvements during this time away making this an important week heading into the summer stretch. It will be our first chance to see if anyone has taken a step up or maybe lost a step on the competition. Charlotte marks the first of 19 races in 20 weeks. The track surface at CMS has finally started to wear out to the point were long run speed really matters again. With multiple grooves and 45 lap stages drivers with great long run speed will be able to move forward with easy. Be sure to utilize the Research Station to find out which drivers have good average lap times.

Lineup Building

Dominator / Top Tier

For this race you will want to take 2 dominators in your lineups. That has pretty much been the case for every race at Charlotte and should continue this week. 15 of the last 18 winners have started in the top 5 so you won’t have to look too far to find the top plays. With the tire fall off and the top groove being of use I really like Bell and Reddick this week. This type of track fits their styles perfectly. Cole Custer has been phenomenal so far this year and should be a top choice this week as well. Austin Dillon who has two career Charlotte Xfinity wins jumps into the #10.

Mid to Low Tier

The mid tier is absolutely stacked this week. There are multiple guys who are legit threats for top 10 finishes at great prices. Jeb Burton at $6,800 and driving a car that runs top 10 every week should see a lot of attention. Jeffery Earnhardt makes his way into the #18 for Joe Gibbs which has been very successful at Charlotte and cost $8,400. Josh Williams is someone who needs to see lots of attention. He has averaged 36.63 DK points over the last 4 races and has a +32 place differential during that time. Mason Diaz is back in the #86 normally driven by Brandon Brown. Brown will in fact run a 2nd car for his own team using #68. There should be plenty of value out there to make pairing any two dominators together fair reasonable. Jones, Annett, and Gragson all under $8,900 and all have top 10 upside.

Punts

Lots of garbage in this section this week. Dillon and Ronnie Bassett driving for DGM are solid and Mason Diaz driving the #86 at $5300 is probably the best value below $6,700. Finchum, when he can finish has been a solid play but he has become far too unreliable so play with caution. There should be 5 start and park drivers so be sure to jump into the DFS Army slack where we will identify who those drivers are.

If you are new to NASCAR check out this article I wrote explaining lineup creation!
