NBA Full Court Press for Sunday, April 28th

— MAIN SLATE (2 Games) 1:00 pm est LOCK —

Boston Celtics 107.2 at Milwaukee Bucks 114.2
Vegas – MIL -7.5
Total – 223.0

BOS Marcus Smart – Out
MIL Malcolm Brogdon – Out

Boston goes into Milwaukee as a decent underdog, it could just be my homer self but I think the C’s really can compete and make this a really tough series and even had a shot at beating Milwaukee. This first game will be a big indicator of how the rest of the series is going to go.

For the Celtics, Kyrie Irving is going to be my favorite target once again, last year Bledsoe got carved up by Terry Rozier in the playoffs, so I expect Kyrie to do the same to him even though he is usually a solid defender. Al Horford has a decent matchup against Brook Lopez, as both these big men stretch the floor, and I think Horford is better than Lopez and a bit quicker which gives him the advantage in this matchup. Jayson Tatum will need to step it up if the Celtics want to win this series, and I’m just not sure if he can recreate that magic he had in the playoffs last year. He’s still a solid play though as he should see 35+ minutes tonight. Marcus Morris also is a decent value as he’ll likely play close to 30 minutes off the bench once again. Gordon Hayward is really solid as well, they’ll need him to also get back to his old self if they want to win this series. I really think Hayward is gonna step it up this series and play up to that contract. The biggest piece of the puzzle for the Celtics is going to be slowing down Giannis and getting him to play in the half court. During the regular season they started Semi Ojeleye to guard him, and I have a feeling they’ll do the same here as he is the only one that can really matchup with him. He makes a really good value play if he starts.

On the Bucks side of the ball, we know the usual suspects. Giannis is likely going to get his, and makes for a great pay up option today as the Bucks are going to lean on him like they have all year long. Khris Middleton is going to be a 5 star play for me tonight as well, as he killlllssssss the Celtics when they play, and they don’t have Marcus Smart to slow him down, so I expect a big game from him. Bledsoe makes for another decent play, as he’ll face off against Kyrie, and you know he’ll want to shake off that stigma from last year when he got abused by Terry Rozier all series long. Brook Lopez is also a decent play as he can hurt the Celtics with his perimeter shooting. Patty C also makes for a decent play here, as he’ll see close to 30 minutes off the bench and really is the sparkplug for this Bucks team. For value I’ll also be looking at George Hill as he’ll play significant minutes off the bench to keep Bledsoe fresh. The last value I’m looking at is Sterling Brown, as he played really well the last game against the Pistons and I think he keeps that momentum moving forward.

💥💥💥 5 star play – Kyrie Irving, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton

💥💥 4 star play – Jayson Tatum, Al Horford, Gordon Hayward, Eric Bledsoe, Brook Lopez

💥 Value – Pat Connaughton, Semi Ojeleye (if he starts), George Hill, Sterling Brown, Nikola Mirotic

Houston Rockets 109.0 at Golden State Warriors 114.5
Vegas – GSW -5.5
Total – 224.5

DeMarcus Cousins – OUT
Klay Thompson – Questionable
Stephen Curry – Questionable

The Rockets handled the Jazz pretty easily in their series, while the Warriors actually struggled a lit bit against the Clippers. This is going to be a battle of two heavy weights and this series really could go either way. This is going to be a great series that I really look forward to watching. The Warriors also have some question marks with Klay Thompson and Steph Curry both hurting their ankles the last game.

The Rockets are going to rely heavily on their starts, as each of them should play over 35 minutes in this game. James Harden can always break the slate, and we know the Rockets are going to lean on him for scoring. He gets an even better matchup if Klay is out. Chris Paul also gets a really good matchup whether Steph plays or not, as they’ll be relying on him to be their second option on offense. Clint Capela will also need to step it up in this series, as he’ll be battling it out with Draymond and Bogut down low. I also really like Eric Gordon tonight, as he’s cheap and he’ll play a ton of minutes. If Harden struggles tonight I expect Gordon to pick it up, if he gets hot he can put up fantasy points in bunches. P.J. Tucker is also a solid play tonight, as he’ll be tasked with guarding Durant, and he made him look foolish the last time these teams played during the regular season. This game sets up well for his style of play.

For the Warriors, a lot is going to depend on whether or not Steph and Klay both play in this game. I believe Steph will likely play, Klay I’m not so sure of as he seemed to really be hurting when he sprained his ankle in Game 6. If both of them are out, then you can just lock in Kevin Durant as he’ll be leaned upon heavily to score. I like Durant even if both of them play, but he’ll have a tough matchup against P.J. Tucker. If Steph plays he’s a 5 star play for me, along with Klay as Klay is still underpriced everywhere. Draymond Green has elevated his play since Cousins went down, and if Steph and Klay don’t play he’s going to be leaned on to step up once again. If Steph Curry is out, Quinn Cook will likely start in his place and become a really solid value play, especially as a Drop on FanDuel. Alonzo McKinnie will also make a decent value play if Klay is out, as he’ll likely start, but Andre Iguodala will likely absorb the majority of those minutes there. Iggy is a 4 star play for me today if Klay is out, as he is priced up a bit given Klay’s uncertainty. Keep your eyes peeled for news, as I don’t know if we’ll get news in time for lock on FanDuel.

💥💥💥 5 star play – Steph Curry (if he plays), Klay Thompson (if he plays), James Harden, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant

💥💥 4 star play – Draymond Green, Clint Capela, P.J. Tucker, Andre Iguodala (if Klay is out)

💥 Value – Eric Gordon, Alonzo McKinnie (if Klay is out), Quinn Cook (if Steph is out)
