Full Court Press:

Philadelphia 76ers @ Toronto Raptors

Vegas Total: 223.0

Vegas Spread: Tor -6.5

This is the first game in what should be a pretty exciting series between these two teams. Starting with the Sixers, I think we can go back to the JJ Redick well here. He didn’t match up well with the Nets and that all changes with the Raptors. In three games against them this season he is averaging 30 Draftkings points per game. Jimmy Butler also feels a bit too cheap and is averaging 42 Draftkings points per game against them this season. Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid are both elite plays given their ability to stuff the stat sheet. However, pay close attention to how Embiid does here. The Raptors were able to essentially take Nikola Vucevic out of the series in round one and I would expect them to try and do the same with Embiid. From Toronto, I would expect Marc Gasol to see minutes around 28-32 here, they will need his size to combat Embiid and Boban, I like him here. Kawhi Leonard is averaging over 50 fantasy points per game against the Sixers this season, he is an amazing play tonight given his price. Pascal Siakam should continue to see big minutes and is a nice mid-high range option, the same can be said for Kyle Lowry. Danny Green and Fred VanVleet are both decent value plays if you need it.

5-star plays: Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, Kawhi Leonard

4-star plays: JJ Redick, Jimmy Butler, Marc Gasol, Kyle Lowry, Pascal Siakam

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: Danny Green, Fred VanVleet

GPP Sleeper: None

San Antonio Spurs @ Denver Nuggets

Vegas Total: 208.5

Vegas Spread: Den -6.5

This game is a winner take all game to move on to the second round and face the Portland Trail Blazers. Starting with the Spurs, I would expect LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan to do the heavy lifting here, making them both elite plays. They’re really the only two that I have a ton of interest in, but Jakob Poeltl, Marco Belinelli, Patty Mills, and Bryn Forbes can all be used as a source of value. From the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic is the most expensive player on the slate, and probably should be. Coach Malone kind of half-jokingly said they need to play him 48 minutes to avoid the Spurs going on runs with him on the bench. I don’t expect him to play that much, but 40 minutes is not out of the question. Jamal Murray continues to produce and makes for a pretty solid play from the point guard position. We will have to keep an eye on the starting lineup and see if they start Torrey Craig again here if so he is a solid value play. Gary Harris will play minutes into the 30s and will be a beneficiary if the Spurs start to double Jokic on the inside, freeing up some open shots. Will Barton and Paul Millsap are nice GPP plays, but I won’t go there in cash.

5-star plays: LaMarcus Aldridge, DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Jokic

4-star plays: Jamal Murray, Torrey Craig, Gary Harris

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: Jakob Poeltl, Marco Belinelli, Patty Mills, Bryn Forbes

GPP Sleeper: Will Barton, Paul Millsap
