Terms you will see mentioned below

wOBA – Weighted On-Base Average (wOBA) is one of the most popular catch-all offensive statistics used to measure a hitter’s overall offensive value. More info here from FanGraphs

xwOBA – Expected Weighted On-base Average (xwOBA) is formulated using exit velocity, launch angle and, on certain types of batted balls, a player’s Sprint Speed. More info here from MLB.com

ISO – a measure of a hitter’s raw power and tells you how often a player hits for extra bases. Want more info? Check out this FanGraphs article.

HC% – hard contact % – the idea here is, players who hit the ball harder will have more success. I know, pretty simple, right? Wanna know more? Check out this FanGraphs article.

All numbers for individual hitters below are in this format
wOBA / xwOBA / ISO + HC%

TEX vs LAA RHP Matt Harvey

Choo, Santana, Gallo, Cabrera
Order – 1,2,5,6

Matt Harvey has picked up right were he left off last year and it’s not pretty. Last year he allowed a 343 woba, 225 iso, 42% fb rate and 41% hard contact rate to left handed hitters. Early this season his numbers are even worse as he’s allowing a 530 woba, 429 iso and 56% hard contact rate to left handers. Harvey throws as Fastball, Slider, Change and Sinker to left handed hitters and only his slider is respectable. He allows a 565 xwoba and 440 iso on his Fastball, and he allows a 440 xwoba and 179 iso on his Sinker.

âšľ Rangers vs RHP Fastball 91-93 mph
Shin Soo Choo – 437 / 520 / 348 / 51%
Elvis Andrus – 330 / 397 / 181 / 34%
Joey Gallo – 530 / 622 / 600 / 37%
Asdrubal Cabrera – 341 / 381 / 181 / 38%
Logan Forsythe – 408 / 462 / 215 / 44%

âšľ Rangers vs RHP Sinker
Shin Soo Choo – 447 / 498 / 235 / 49%
Nomar Mazara – 476 / 507 / 346 / 54%
Joey Gallo – 457 / 653 / 415 / 54%
Asdrubal Cabrera – 382 / 425 / 249 / 37%

The lefties are the play for the Rangers tonight as you can see from the numbers above. You can run 5 lefties from the Rangers vs Harvey tonight on Draftkings pretty easily and I’ll have plenty of mini 2 and 3 man Rangers stacks mixed in with my other full stacks tonight. This is an elite spot for the Rangers.

ATL vs ARI RHP Zack Godley

Albies, Donaldson, Freeman, Acuna
Order: 1,2,3,4

Godley has been just ok the past few years and tonight I think he’s in a tough spot here vs the Braves. Dating back to the 2018 Season Godly has allowed a 330 woba, 126 iso and 37% hard contact rate to lefties. Against righties his numbers are very similar 331 woba, 149 iso and 37% hard contact rate allowed. We can attack him with hitters from both sides of the plate in this Braves lineup tonight.

Godley throws 4 pitches his Curve, Sinker, Cutter and Change. He throw shis Curve and Sinker much more than the rest, 40% for the Curve and 32% for the Sinker. He allows a 410 woba, 491 xwoba and 203 iso on his Sinker to right handers and he allows a 403 xwoba and 40% hard contact rate to left handers on his Curve.

âšľ Braves vs RHP Sinker
Ozzie Albies – 405 / 425 / 250 / 36
Josh Donaldson – 469 / 495 / 316 / 34%
Freddie Freeman – 434 / 527 / 228 / 46%
Ronadl Acuna – 345 / 380 / 115 / 33%
Nick Markakis – 362 / 399 / 156 / 36%

Albies, Donaldson and Freeman jump off the page against Sinkers and make a great 3 man stack on their own.

âšľ Braves vs RHP Curve
Josh Donaldson – 368 / 433 / 211 / 44%
Freddie Freeman – 398 / 471 / 299 / 42%
Ronald Acuna – 343 / 488 / 211 / 46%
Nick Markakis – 296 / 371 / 117 / 41%

Not shown above is how bad Godley is to left handers when he throws his Secondary pitches as well. He throws his Cutter about 18% to lefties and allows a 471 woba, 410 xwoba and 35% hard contact rate. Against a team full of solid left handed hitters Godley is in trouble tonight

MLB Top Stacks DFS Fanduel Draftkings

TBR vs BAL RHP Trevor Williams

Meadows, Pham, Choi, Garcia
Order – 1,2,3,6

Williams throws his Fastball around 55% of the time to lefties and 48% of the time to righties. While he’s not awful with the pitch, I don’t think he’s going to have much success with it this evening against this Rays team.

âšľRays vs RHP Fastball 90-92 mph

Austin Meadows – 417  / 284 / 333 / 40%
Tommy Pham – 47 6 / 638 / 297 / 43%
Ji Man Choi – 470 / 489 / 435 / 48%
Avisail Garcia – 461 / 557 / 341 / 48%

These four are the four I’ll be building my Rays stacks around tonight. I don’t think they will be too heavily owned with everyone flocking to stack both sides of the Rangers vs Angles game above.

Other stacks

PIT vs DET RHP Spencer Turnbull

Frazier, Bell, Moran, Cabrera
Order – 1,4,6,7

—

Turnbull struggles against left handed hitters allowing a 345 woba, and 41% hard contact rate. He throws his fastball around 35% of the time to left handed hitters and allows a 404 woba, 545 xwoba and 38% hard contact. There are more than a few Pirates who do some serious damage against fastballs from Right Handed Pitchers in the 92-94 mph speed range

Adam Frazier – 411 / 380 / 270 / 38%
Starling Marte – 429 / 426 / 281 / 42%
Francisco Cervelli – 407 / 452 / 133 / 41%
Josh Bell – 433 / 421 / 248 / 43%

The Pirates should be a solid sneaky stack on tonight’s slate in a great matchup

MIA vs CHC LHP Cole Hamels

Rojas, Anderson, Castro, Alfaro
Order – 1,2,3,4

—

Hamels has been bad against right handers since last season. He has allowed a 333 woba, 196 iso and 45% hard contact rate to righties. Against right handers he throws his fastball about 34% of the time and he allows a 423 woba, 497 xwoba, 320 iso and 46% hard contact rate. Some Marlines that hit Fastballs from Left Handers well are:

Miguel Rojas – 341 / 529 /200 / 39%
Brian Anderson – 347 / 363 / 083 / 50%
Starlin Castro – 424 / 419 / 105 / 44%
Martin Prado – 495 / 380 / 130 / 39%

The Marlines are not normally a team we look to target with our stacks but I think they are in a sneaky good spot here tonight.

That’s all I’ve got today. I look forward to see all of those DFS Army Helmets at the top of the leaderboards this evening!!!
