Friedman’s DK Tiers – DraftKings NBA Tiers for April 3, 2019

Hi there! I’m Aaron/AFriedman15 (@AFriedman15DFS)  and this is Friedman’s DK Tiers, where I will break down the DraftKings Tiers slate using information from the DFS Army NBA Research Station (RS),  DFS Army Domination Station (DS),  and other sources. I will generally try to write Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Weekends, but I may have some spare time on other days as well.

In my articles, I will use a few terms which may or may not be familiar:

DKFPPG = DraftKings Fantasy Points Per Game

DKFPPM =DraftKings Fantasy Points Per Minute

DFS Army is an affiliate partner of Monkey Knife Fight, click this link to take advantage of our special promotion!

Tier 1:

All hail the bearded one, James Harden, averaging a massive And1 rating of 26.4, while an extremely high ceiling of 80(!) per our Research station. Harden is the clear cash/single entry play here. Just eat the chalk and move on. In GPPs, Devin Booker would be a good play to sprinkle in, but at the minimum, I would want 75% Harden.

Tier 2 :

I don’t love this tier by any stretch, but if picking one, it is clearly Nikola Jokic. It’s essentially a “league-average” matchup here going up against the Spurs, who are 13th in aDvP against centers.  When in doubt, centers tend to have the most upside, and our Research station agrees. Not only does Jokic have the highest ceiling here, he also has the highest floor.   I do like Ben Simmons too, who went for 53 DKFP and he has burned Atlanta for 57.3 DKFPPG this season, the second highest total vs. opponent on the slate.

Tier 3:

In Tier 3, I want D’Angelo Rusell as the Nets need to keep winning because they are only a game of being on the outside of the playoff picture, sitting as the seventh seed entering tonight’s action. Normally, I like playing Utah, but like Madness wrote up, I cannot see how this game stays close, meanwhile, the Nets have what should be a pretty competitive game (and one that they need). Charlotte is almost eliminated from the playoffs, so that puts me off Kemba tonight.

Tier 4:

Clint Capela is my clear favorite today. He gets an excellent matchup today vs. the Clippers who are 29th in aDvP vs. the center position. Elf is ice cold, down 10.86 DKFPPG in his last three games compared to his last ten games average.  KAT is the coldest player in the Tiers slate, and Elf is the second coldest player in Tiers. This is a borderline all-in play.

Tier 5:

I am leaning Goran Dragic over John Collins here. Dragic has been on a tear averaging 45.9 DKFP over his last three games and 40.9 DKFPPG in his last three meetings vs. Boston. By comparison, Collins is averaging 34.9 over his last three and 36.1 DKFPPG in his last three meetings vs. Philly.

Tier 6:

Delon Wright is the safest play in this tier, with no Conley or Jonas Valanciunas, he should crush tonight and see all the minutes he can handle. Christian Wood is the hottest player in the league per the Research Station, and I think he will once again get all the minutes he can handle here.

Bookmark the  “Coaching Notes” page, it will remain the same regardless of coaches!.

Those are your DK Tiers! Some are going to be commonplace, and some won’t.  These are players my research led me to and some will contain risk.  Your research may indicate you agree or disagree, and that’s ok….we discuss these things in our coaching channels nightly.  Good luck tonight!  Check the coaches picks for even more confidence in your plays.  And always consult all of the unlocked tools (including the Research Station) before lock!  And, if you are catching me on a #FreebieFriday, you are going to want to unlock those coaching channels by admitting……
